Have Bioware's recent actions changed your mind?

To be completely fair, moving around in DAI was, to put it lightly, FUCKING difficult. I certainly hope that they'll remove some of that difficulty while moving.

Indeed. If only others were so perceptive as to simply adopt all of my issue positions, frivolous discourse on topics where my word is clearly superior would be unnecessary.

I'll buy new if the game meets my expectations. My primary suspicion is that they've ripped out and abandoned half the setting back in the MW galaxy, and if that's the case it's getting pirated simply out of spite.

I'm not going to preorder it just like I didn't preorder ME3. I'll wait until I hear how it is from some people first.

That gameplay designer who's constantly going on about how much he hates white people is certainly an embarrassment to the company, but that's not going to impact my decision. I've got plenty of better reasons to be skeptical about MEA.

Personally I just hope the MP is good, since that's what's eaten up about 90% of my ME3 time.

I'm buying Andromeda because I don't care about other peoples reviews, I prefer to make my own judgement and I'm still interested enough to play. The only shopping habits that the recent forum closure has changed is my willingness to spend anything at the official Bioware store. I simply don't feel the need to throw my money at company merch when they have handled this shut down in the rudest, most punitive way possible.

Honestly I don't know if I will buy ME:A. I was with BioWare since Baldur's Gate, and I often pre-ordered theirs games. But everything changed after DA2, (it was a big dissapointment for me). And then was ME3 and not so good DA:I. Also, a lot of workers left BioWare and it's not this same studio now. Yesterday I saw info that BioWare is closing theirs forum and I'm wonder if it's related to ME:A in some way. Those things are the reason that I will not to pre-order or buy ME:A right after release. For me ME ended with ME3 and Im not interested in ME Universe to much now without my Shepard. So it's not my " must have" game and first I will just watch "let's play" or something similar on YT before I will make my decision.

Personally, I am going to hold off on pre-ordering, as well as waiting for reviews.


I am looking for two things out of ME:A, if I can get both I will be a happy camper.

1. A compelling sci-fi story, a narrative about exploring the unknown and encountering the 'alien' elements of the universe. I don't give a flying fig about LGTB topics, SJW talking points or the myriad of daddy issues, I want to see actual science fiction elements like the Rachni or Thorian or an in depth explanation on how this technology operates rather than some thinly veiled political soapboxes.

2. A fun and engaging MP along the same lines as ME 3 MP, but with an expansion to character kits, powers, weapons, levels, and above all, actual support of the MP feature by the developers. Anything that harkens back to the MP of DA:I, especially the flat out abandonment of updates, and new features after release should be avoided like the plague.

Some games I do care about the reviews, like NMS.  Some, I don't -- like Technomancer.   Get burned a few times, and you'll start caring about reviews a whole lot more.  Then, get burned by Angry Joe and MGS5, and you'll soon come to realize that it's the company that you're investing in.  You're not buying a game.  I still can not see why people all over the world are so in love with Hideo Kajima (and I don't care if I spelled his name wrong).  

Their boards should be a virtual ghost town right about now.   Haven't come out with anything for the past four years?  Hoooooo-yeah.  Maybe about five people should be posting on there, including one troll who just won't give up and the moderators can't ban him because reasons.  Instead, they have us there debating the ending of a four and a half year old game in every single thread.  For the past four and a half years.


I mean, if I had to put up with somebody criticizing something that I did four years ago (either rightly or wrongly), and I was paying to support that criticism, you can better believe that I would shut it down much more quickly and with all bias attached.


EDIT :  And plus this isn't even considering dev years, which are kind'a like dog years.  For every year that passes, seven have passed for them.

EDIT x 2 :  I'm sorry, as this post wasn't meant to come across as negative as it appears.  The feelings are all mine, just weed out the negativity.

No. I dont read the novels nor do I care what some stupid SJW/BLM thinks about white people. I pay my money and enjoy the game.

One thing is to never say anything on the forum, other thing is to give the middle finger and nuke us from orbit.

Let's stop with this thing, i don't think it's cool to some people at Bioware to come here and read things like this, the ones that come here probably hated the decision as much as me.
