Ignoring the kind of people that always find a flaw in a woman's look, that want an airbrushed barbie doll... But Sara does have one problem. It seems she's always slight (serenely) smiling, even in the supposed neutral expression in the skills menu, she's smiling. So, she's smiling while neutral. She's smiling while shooting. She's smiling while grimacing. I don't know wtf happened, if they scan or modeled her this way, but it's ruined every animation I've seen use her so far. After the combat video, I look at her and I'm reminded or L'Inconnue de la Seine and it's creeping me out.  |

Are people seriously complaining? First off, these people need to get a life and secondly if they don't like it then just customize it to however the hell you want it to be.
This is ridiculous. You think I like how FemShep looks? No. But I have never once said anything because it's beneath me to, as it should be for everyone else. Hell, I don't like how Sara's brother looks likes either.

Given my general feelins towards logical falacies...especially THAT logical fallacies...I am curious how you think its a strawman? I know women who have complained about Sara's appearance. It was an off the cuff comment as the person in question made while watching the combat trailer, as mine was pretty off the cuff too. I just think, its fascinating, an appropo that the comment I was reffering to thinks all the complaints about Sara boil down to her not being fapping fuel, and probably men, which is not the case. |

From what I saw in the forum, while there might be someone that find her ugly, I think a lot more have problems with her animations, and will be fine with her face. This is true on other forums too, based on the reaction on her face in the menu.

Well, western society doesn't see it as appropriate, regardless of them being consentient or not. Bioware agrees on this notion. Complaints about Sara in a nutshell"How am I supposed to fap to that?!?" That wont stop the internet. Rule 34 knows no bounds. A lot of the complaints are about the fact that the animations just look unsettling which takes you out of the game when you have to see it in every single dialogue scene because it's the character you're playing. Immersion is a pretty big deal to a RPG. If I'm sitting here thinking about how unnatural my character's facial animation looks, then I'm not immersed. BioWare seems to care to the point that they've said they're spending the final month working on polishing the animations we've been complaining about, which is good to hear. That is why you play the Male Ryder, who is the superior Ryder.  |

I mean, I do think she looks quite good, but I also think improvements could be made. Something about her jaw and cheeks makes her smile like a kid who just got their braces off. I find it to be a jarring expression, personally. Snd I think it could be fixed by changing her lower jaw, mouth, and cheek propertions. Her jaw and cheeks are fine, it's just the animation that is bad. |

It could honestly be just the difference in lighting and angle, but the jaw looks sharper, the nose is smaller, and the nose bridge seems more pulled forward |
