When Will DA4 be released?/ Bioware's release strategy.

Starfield will be keeping me occupied for a looong time!

But I'm still nervous to replay inquisition right now because I just have this fear I'll start Ben or a new Inquisitor and then they'll just randomly announce Dreadwolf is coming out. Wifey and I spend a lot of time around one another and a lot of time watching each other play games but she tends to dislike it when I replay games so often. So the amount of PTs I've put into both ME and inquisition is a bit of a sore spot. Of course I'm not even sure how much I could handle plating inquisition twice in a calender year.

I managed to forget that Bioware (well, EA in general) still existed and that they were working in DA4. Hell, i barely log into this forum nowdays.

This thread aged like fine milk. i vote H1 2019. (srsly, if they dont make money for EA rather soon/ish they might get axed futher more or entirely)

I vote for late December 2024, as I always have, if it comes out after that and still resembles the last two Dragon Ages more than being something new or like Origins I stop caring entirely.

I still have many more videogames to play instead, I could always replay the Mass Effect Trilogy, Origins, Human Revolution, Mirror's Edge, the Batman Arkham Trilogy, Halo, Gears, Witcher 2 or 3, Splinter Cell entire series including both iterations of Double Agent, Dead Space Trilogy and the remake, Alien Isolation, Ruiner, Observer, Night in the Woods, BGE or nine original Xbox Star Wars videogames. (Praise be backwards compatibility)

Or I could play something new I own like Aliens Dark Descent, apparently phenomenal, and I have not yet tried Cyberpunk 2077.

And there are dozens new and old I have not had the time for just yet, Baldur's Gate the Trilogy, Observation, Moons of Madness, Outer Wilds, Alan Wake, Quantum Break and Control, Lost Planet, Mad Max, Sleeping Dogs, Force Unleashed, Prey 2006, Prey Arkhane, Disco Elysium, Banner Saga, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, The Wolf Among Us, Hi-Fi Rush, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Stray, Signalis, Deliver Us The Moon, Deliver Us Mars, Citizen Sleeper, Gris, Sea of Stars, Metal Gear Solid Collection, River City Girls, Spec Ops The Line, A Plague's Tale, Hellblade, Alice and Madness Returns.

And that's just the stuff on my wishlist, I genuinely have no idea how anyone's got nothing to play in the meantime.

I will get on to it in the new year.

Of 2024 or 2025?

2024 would be an almost perfect year to release Dreadwolf. This year was a bloodbath competition wise, next year looks like a pretty empty spot to slot Dreadwolf in. So I think I've said this before but it's probably for the best it was delayed

Why caution with GTA 6?  Are DAI fans frustrated by horse that can't run, and want something a bit faster?

Yeah I hav eplenty of games I can pla yso don't min dthe wait. In fac tbeen downloading a fw egames to an external SSD lately mos tof which I haven' tgo tround to playing yet. Mostl yas a mean to encourage myself to do so.

To be fair, if Anthem didn't need rescuing then Dreadwolf would have been released around 2019 or 2020. But game development was suspended for Anthem for a year and then restarted from scratch.
