Kaidan isn't interesting enough... Did he ever tell you about his casino run in with the vorcha mafia? 5,000 credits and a bottle of whiskey? Actually, never mind. Some obvious bias aside, I personally was disappointed with Ashley's character in 3. But that's just me, and I do think it's worth it to see both of them in 3 at some point.

Opinion only - Kaidan's content is better than Ashley's in ME3. I agree. I like his scene on the Normandy right after the coup. His scene after rescuing the Cerberus scientists was alright. I do like that the player gets to see Ashley with her sister.

Both have some good dialogues in ME3. I think the general consensus though is that Kaidan's content is better overall.
If you're romancing him, he has more dialogue that differs from just being friends than Ashley has. However, haven't you have played through with Kaidan in ME3 already and you're still planning to romance Garrus, right through ME3, aren't you? So maybe you do want to take Ash this time just to experience her dialogues this time around... and save a "Kaidan romance" playthrough for later.
If you do let Ashley live, consider juggling the order of doing things in ME3 to get Tali earlier than normal... and do the Turian Bomb mission with Ashley and Tali together. I think Ashley's best dialogue in the whole Trilogy comes at that point if you do it that way.

I was thinking of seeing Ashley's content this time for the reason you gave. You guys are giving me plenty to think about while I'm supposed to be working

I still haven't decided who's going to live, but Virmire is a pretty planet. So...they'll die somewhere pretty, at least, with nice beaches they won't get to enjoy.
Edit: Something about the mako that I will admit is fun is jumping to avoid the colossus attacks. It's like high-stakes jump rope.

"What's so important about a solution to this 'genophage'?" Not quite "What's a Mythal," but not far off. I'm going to pretend you didn't say that, Shepard.

Why did you pick Engineer?
What texture mod did you use?
I thought the voice acting was pretty sub par in the parts of ME1 I played. Does it get better later?
Did you go paragon or Renegade in the end?
The more I played ME, the more I was like... I should have just gone Renegade. I was so mad towards the end that I was forcing myself to pick paragon sometimes because I was committed to a "nice shepherd" PT.

Kaidan and Ashley might have just made a decision for me...? The salarian asked for one of my people to accompany him to coordinate the attacks, and Ashley acted like an adolescent over it. I definitely cannot send her if she's not going to be professional about it, and Kaidan volunteered. I don't know if there's another decision to make that actually determines who lives and who dies (don't tell me!) but if not, then sorry...whoever I just killed I do appreciate that maybe it's an RP decision and not just a metagaming one, at least for now. 1. I honestly don't remember. I know I thought tech sounded kind of fun, but when I first started posting about ME2, I actually forgot which class I chose So in the end, it was not that well-reasoned of a decision if I couldn't even remember it. I did enjoy the class a lot in 2 and 3, though. The drone was very handy to have around, and I miss him. His name was Larry 2. www.nexusmods.com/masseffect/mods/1/?HUGE improvement. Don't play ME1 on PC without it. 3. It was cringe-worthy in the beginning of the game compared to ME2 and 3. It's either gotten better, or I've gotten used to it. I'm not sure which. It'll be easier to tell when I get back to ME2, I think. 4. She's almost full paragon, though I feel like that decision was somewhat taken out of my hands the first time through ME2 because of the stupid way that morality checks work. Since I will be importing plenty of paragon points this time, I plan to take more dialogue options the way I want to RP them, rather than for game mechanic reasons, though I think she'll still be mostly paragon. At this point, it's just her personality to be patient and supportive, and I don't want to lose that. Renegade would be fun to do in the future, though.

I have a feeling that autograph I just signed is going to come back to bite me in the ass. Nope. Conrad is a good character. He means well. When you see him the next time, he will have one of the best lines in the trilogy. The line only applies when playing femshep. The other thing. Help a character named Jenna on the Citadel, if you haven't already. OMG. you did save Jenna, right Dragon? Right? Conrad leaves such an impression, he ties with Donnelly as favorite unimportant NPC

I hope that was the "right" thing to do --------- I told Garrus NOT to set off any false alarms on the base, because Shepard doesn't want to make things any harder on the salarians/Kaidan. We'll see if that actually helps Kaidan survive or if he's still doomed. Or maybe he was never doomed at all. Anyway, I'm taking a dinner break.

Disrupted communications, satellites, and refueling. Excellent. Lol. Maybe it'll save some salarians? I mean, I'm losing a squad mate either way. ------ Just talked to the reaper, and now I feel even more like "destroy" is the right ending. I can't imagine merging with or trying to control those things that have such disregard for life. Or at least Shepard won't be able to imagine it. I got a bit of snark from Garrus as the asari scientist ran off. Finally, my space raptor boyfriend is back Going off to the breeding grounds to set the bomb now.

Ummmmm...I'm sitting here facing the big decision! On the one hand, it kind of makes more roleplay sense to go to Ashley simply because she has the bomb, and we can't risk that bomb not detonating. Plus, Kaidan cut off on the radio, so Shepard can't possibly know for sure whether he's still alive. So from her perspective, she could continue to go after Kaidan, but then lose Ashley and maybe not be able to save Kaidan anyway. Or, she could go back to Ashley, who she knows is still alive at this very moment, and just hope that the salarians and Kaidan can handle themselves. Except she also knows that if she doesn't get to Kaidan, then he and the salarians won't make it off the planet before the bomb goes off. So it comes down to who Shepard is more confident that she can save. :gasp:

I let the game sit there for a while, then made the choice. I feel bad So.... what was the choice? Ashley lives. It made a lot more sense to me that Shepard would be more sure she could save Ashley, while saving Kaidan seemed like more of a long shot. (I know it wasn't really, but I'm trying to stay in Shepard's head here.) That doesn't mean his final words didn't hurt a bit, though. ------ Stupid, useless council. Especially that damn Turian. Shepard told them to go to hell.

"I never meant to offend you. I only meant that you would be an interesting specimen for in-depth study!" Liara T'soni: the Dagna of the 22nd Century Edit: that was an enlightening conversation. Now I know why I kept seeing Asari/Turian couples in the other games, and no "male" asari. I mean, sure, I could have read a codex but...who does that? *Raises hand* I also don't read codex. Or any of the description of the planets. I'm here for the people. Out.

It's actually really sad walking by Kaidan's empty spot on the ship. I didn't think it would bother me this much.
Went to check on Liara, expecting some new romance content -- just a line or two, at least -- and got nothing. Liara, your love interest/girlfriend/future heartbreaker just sent one of her squad to his death. You can't give her a hug or something?
Joker had something nice to say, as did Ashley. Nothing from anyone else.
I spoke to the council on Citadel. I came into this game knowing that at some point, I would have to decide whether to save the council or let them be destroyed. I don't know the context of that decision, but I was absolutely positive I was going to save them. Now? I don't think I want to. Shepard probably still will, but I'd happily watch them burn.
Liara and Shepard almost kissed (or mind-melded again, for funsies?) before being interrupted by Joker, Master of the Buzzkill.

I picked up a mission from Garrus (I hope I get to kill the mad scientist!) and Tali hinted at one of her own. I love how she says she rarely saw her dad smile. He's quarian, Tali. No one sees him smile. Why you make me laugh so much Dragon? Making up for your raptor Bf's lack of snark?
