I hated this in DA:I. Sera disapproves Oh really Sera, Guess what, I'm the Inquisitor, go fuck yourself. Making a desk wobble a small amount isn't a prank and that bucket "trick" is a mess that one of those lowly servants you pretend to care for has to cleanup. A self-centered attention seeking hypocrite doesn't get to judge me. If Bioware had the imagination I would have loaded her in a catapult. Just give me ME2 loyalty missions only please. So much better. Could you imagine not stepping out of the way and warning Sidonis? "Garrus Greatly Disapproves." Having to pander to my companions made me feel like they were in charge, not me. I think I had read somewhere that they were not having an approval rating so I only hope this rating is for something else. Eh, I remember being more annoyed at Morrigan for any damn act of kindness. Spare the mages a good slaughtering? Disapproves. The fuck lady? Oh excuse me for not wanting to murder the shit outta a bunch of innocent people. I think Solas was actually the who annoyed me the most within the approval system. I feel like he had a lot that he "greatly disapproves" of. It was just a bad system. I just like trashing Sera because her thin writing contradicted her ideals, and she never believed in my cause. I couldn't understand why the fuck she was actually there. I assumed that Friends of Red Jenny got sick of her putting pencil shaving in their coffee, not understanding what a prank actually is, and she had no one else that would take her in. The Inquisitor was duped.

I think this illustrates what I enjoy about the approval system. I enjoy the reactions and how it influences the way people play. It's why I spend so much more time in DA than ME. I can go back and test all their various dispositions and see what happens when they're not besties, and it's why I'm such a fan of the Inquisition lot, especially the really divisive ones like Sera.

I high-lighted a different section than the original quote. and let me just say Finally! I finally have a way to track my main story decisions! This always gets dicey for me after multiple playthroughs. I have notebooks I keep track of these things in...lots of notebooks. But there is always one semi-major decision that I lose track of, especially if I stop playing in the middle of a playthrough and don't go back to it for a few weeks. I'm also super psyched about keeping track of the kinds of relationships I have with different people. Am I the only crazy person who didn't have much difficulty keeping track of approval in DAI? Well, it wasn't too bad for me, but then it was just your companions. It looks like there is going to be a lot more people and relationships to keep track of in MEA than there was even in DAI. Not just squadmates, but family and crew and I can only assume others since the devs did mention there would be other potential LI's on planets/hubs too.
I'll probably just go in blind for my first playthrough, but this is going to be a useful reference on later playthroughs when I'm trying to get a specific outcome that more than likely will require certain characters to feel certain ways about Ryder.

Eh.
I'm already planning on talking to squad mates between missions but I'm going to make decisions based on what I think is correct in the moment. I'm not pandering to keep a meter high. I'll just deal with disapprovals.

Id be cool with a codex thing like Swtor.
"You have begun a relationship with Vetra. You went on a date with Vetra to a resteraunt and she loved it. Vetra was glad you sided with the Turians in protecting the turian relics from criminals."

Interesting... makes it easier to know who will not stab you in the back and by that means who to and not to take on missions. Why do all Mike Gamble quotes get me thinking of music tracks:
Nobody will stab you in the back. All the characters are just Likeable TM

Well that's nice. I'm kind of hoping we'll also have some way to know when a specific squad member has new dialogue. That'd be nice. I get tired of Garrus telling me he is still calibrating. I'd stop trying to talk to him if I knew for sure he had nothing else to say (although I'm getting a good idea now, when there might be something new).

The funny thing is that this problem was solved all the way back in Wing Commander 4, or maybe even 3. And someone at Bio has to remember those games since ME's conversation system blatantly ripped them off.

"fall into love and out of love"
Fall in... and saying something that breaks it, is pretty common though... doing that, then getting back together again? and the characters acknowledging the bumpyness? Very rare and would achieve that "complex" moniker.
