The only thing I'm really peeved at is the guy playing. For someone who played this mission two times before, it sure as hell looked like he didn't know what he was doing combat wise.

Looks aesthetically very much like the opening few levels of Halo 4 to me in terms of environment design and color palate. Remnant drones remind me of 343's Prometheans as well which I always found pretty tedious and annoying to fight. Without being able to direct squadmate power usage directly I don't want to feel like i'm going to be forced to take overload or energy drain on a biotic character in order to realistically deal with all these irritating drone enemies - particularly the flying ones. Lance can be specced for anti-Shield work, I believe. (I'm having issues accessing that thread to validate, at the moment.) I enjoyed the video. The player was terrible; even worse than a dev. He's lucky that Drack can nearly solo Normal difficulty. Drack and SAM have good voices. Sara and Pelassaria sounded a bit too much alike, at times. Familiarity will likely fix that. Combat looked fun. It was a nice blend of the familiar and increased mobility and verticality. I like that a well rounded weapon load-out seems to be more useful in this game than in recent ones. I absolutely love biotics, but I can't seem to shake the feeling that the new tech skills are too awesome to not steal my focus. They will always be useful, regardless of our foes. Combat + Tech, with a side of Biotics should do well. Edit: I forgot to express my concern regarding the hand-holding dialogue and the "scan this", "scan that" happening. I hope neither is indicative of common game experience.

Please no more Witcher senses, that mechanic needs to die and never come back. I'll go insane if MEA is full of scanning. ...and there is that. Scanning will get old FAST, especially if the game tells you to do it every other minute. Worst part is that it seems like they aren't even using the scanner as part of any kind of puzzles - it's just "scan this and move on" it doesn't add anything to the game from the look of it.

Looks fun. I like that Peebee seems to have her own rival. Yeah, Belloq to her Jones, if Belloq was as annoying as Nelson, that is. "Haw Haw, i dont have any bots to deal with!"

I know I'm not making fans by saying this; but I kinda wish they would postpone this game for another 6 months because it still needs a lot of work. From animations to lip sync this game looks no where finished to me.

I wonder if there is an off button for the sam thing. Seriously, if he's gonna solve the entire game for us I will go as far as deleting his voice files from Install folder to fix this I'd like to think that was like a pseudo tutorial. Because I assume at some point they will stop holding our hands and explaining us how basic shit works...

At what point if loyalty missions can be done after the main story is done... no, that's what the game is right there. @chrome: Delaying it would change nothing. BW clearly can't do better than that anymore.

I thought it was ryder being all cutesy with the robots but the comments make it sound like it was PB... regardless of who it was, i did not like it, as someone else mentioned the dialogue seemed very juvenile. I'm not a fan of instant death mechanics in games either but swimming in lava like its nothing is kind of BS. the facial expressions at the beginning, esp where the shuttle gets hit and jostles the occupants around, look stupid... the problem is the uncanny valley, i think i could handle these animations if they were constant like a movie but seeing cutscenes like this interspersed with normal-looking gameplay graphics kind of freaked me out, took me out of the feel of the game. whenever i see the animations i always want to stop the game and appreciate how technology has developed but then i forget about the actual story going on.
main concern... hand holding SAM and mission direction dialogue... this is a loyalty mission not a recruiting mission, presumably this happens after the first couple missions, when you already have a good idea of what the game expects from you... and yet the game is sitting there constantly telling you what it expects from you.

I hope neither is indicative of common game experience. Yeah the guy was really bad, running all around like crazy, not using powers for combos, etcetera. It was kind of a pain to watch the video because of him. By the way, i agree that SAM saying what i should do every minute was a bit annoying. But that may also have been triggered (more) by the guy because in several moments he seemed to not know what to do. One thing i hope is that squadmates powers have a smaller cooldown than in ME3. So maybe i can make them be more agressive and hold their own better in combat (Yes PeeBee i am looking at you! )

It's a difficult mechanic to implement and be entertaining in a whole game, expecially open world games..

EDIT: Funny story I was thinking to myself that I wished they switched the voice actors for PeeBee and Sara. Upon re-watching the vid i realize that I had mixed them up. Fryda was the one who voice acted well, and PeeBee sounds just as annoying as her writing makes her out to be. It was her that was talking to the drone like a Sprouts star. She is my fucking nails on a chalkboard. God Damn it Bioware. On the plus side, I loved the intentional Sara derp face at the beginning.
God PeeBee sucks, which is a shame because Christin Lakin seemed to act in a way that wasn't annoying, which seems like the opposite of all Peebs writing so far. Guess what the pilot won't land, its to dangerous so I'm going to lure you into the drop pod and launch. She basically said "fuck you, fuck your command, fuck your ship, fuck your pilot, and fuck whoever doesn't have an escape pod during an evacuation because I just wasted one. That pilot still has to land to retrieve us." The sheer lack of respect for your command and the entire crew of the Tempest, and then RydHer is just like "oh PeeBee you got us mixed up in your hijinks again, welp I guess we got no other choice but to do exactly what you want so that we can positively reinforce this kind of behavior."
Fuck no, I knew she was going to be Sera/Jack. The mildest reaction I would have would be marooning her on this hell hole. Instead I will just have to settle for being as mean as the game will let me be towards her. Who knows, maybe they finally included an airlock on the ship.
Meanwhile, did anyone notice the Fryda sounded like she was voicing a character on a kids show? I noticed it when the drone is first activated, I thought "who did she take voice acting lessons from, Chase from Paw Patrol?" And then when the drone was needed to break the fissure in the rocks toward the end, and she said a line that I am pretty sure Chase says all the time with the exact same tone and inflection. Turns out she has done voice acting in a number of children show roles, most notably Bratz. That isn't a good sign that I can tell that with just 2 samples of voice acting.

Ryder's facial expressions look a bit exaggerated. I get that they want her to be expressive but I think the issues with the facial animations would be less glaring if she didn't emote (is that the right word?) so much. It would probably look better if they toned it down a bit.
I'm worried that what looks awkward on default Ryder will end up looking horrible on custom Ryders.

Nitpicking is strong in this thread. It's called criticism - customers do that... Just because they got away with it once doesn't mean we're happy with them scaling by again. After all we are the ones paying for the game.
