After playing some more of the SP, I'm not sure which side of the game is more perplexing in terms of how much stuff the screwed up. It's really quite amazing a company can spend so much time and money for such a mediocre result.

I've put that mode on hold until they fixed all the plot stoppers and non functional quests. Also on a side note. I still fail to understand why hearing the generic lines in dynasty warriors 8 for the nth makes me more excited than interacting with the peeps on my ship.

Snip I'm not even going to get into all the bugs and balancing, I don't want to write a novel. I expected a lot more. It's been 5 years and the gameplay has not improved in any way. How is that possible or acceptable? Disappointed. ,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸-(_MEA_)-,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸
Come now! Bio themselves said they performed extensive MP testing.

Been playing MP sporadically until this weekend where I unlocked the rest of the commons. I think it's not very friendly to the new player - levelling is kinda slow in the beginning. Having some characters with those card skill points available makes them much more enjoyable. I've tried the human engineer again which wasn't really powerful, but at least I could make some impact this time skill set wise. I'm having more fun now than starting out.

i think I will probbly take a break and see what they do with regards to patching and dlc content.
The loot grind is very unrewarding (n7's are mostly shit tier and it takes 3-4 hours to unlock one.... Rinse repeat 190 times yay) and the gameplay isn't varied or fun enough to keep me grinding when the loot isn't even good. I seriously fear for future dlc content, if they make a significant amount of ultra rares and stick with the I-X character system it will be borderline impossible to unock new items without coughing up hundreds or grinding hours daily for weeks.
In me3 I could play for hours with even a max manifest because the gameplay was actually fun: In this I've been playing the last 2 days to get unlocks not because the gamemplay is fun or enganging. It's so one dimensional compared to me3 where you had a large variety of playstyles. In this most classes just boil down to ultimately kiting enemies around while shooting or camping with a vanquisher and spamming some power cells here and there. It's just not anywhere near as fun as me3. The characters feel like they have no depth and character to them.
Compare the krogan merc to the vorcha sentinel for example. The krogan merc is actually one of my favorite classes in this game but he sucks compared to the vorcha. His flamer is weak, his voicelines are boring, he can't detonate his fire explosions, rage sucks compared to vorcha bloodlust. Meanwhile the vorcha is constantly regenerating health, he can detonate massive fire explosions with cluster grenades, and his voicelines are hilarious. Just 1 example but pretty much every character in mea feels like a lame nerfed versions of characters we had in me3, and they also neglected having most of the cool stuff they added in dlc make a return. I can only assume they are saving the best powers for dlc to sell more packs. It feels like they cut so many features and powers from me3 and we're left with an empty husk of a game in comparison.
It really feels like they didn't try their hardest to make a fun experience, instead it seems like focused on cluttering the loot pool as much as possible to make people desperate to buy crates to get those 1-2 good guns, and they took away a ton of fan favorite guns and powers, again I can only assume they did this so they can reuse it for dlc in the future.
I'm 10,500 apex rating so it's not like I haven't given it a good try. It's just a very empty experience compared to me3mp and they took so many steps backwards while arguably the only thing that is actually better is that movement is less clunky but even movement is buggy, grabbing onto ledges for one.

The last three times I've tried to play it and enemy got stuck inside a building on the survival wave, we couldn't kill it but it could kill us. It crashed on the 2nd attempt, the 3rd attempt it wouldn't even load the game; then I just gave up. Previous other attempts I would die instantly before the game was loaded, because the AI or servers thought I was in game when I couldn't see anything I was still stuck on a loading screen.

I'm getting quite annoyed when in Outlaw matches the Flak Cannon spam of the Berserker it's almost as bad as the stunlock from Geth Hunters.

Some General Observations (1) Joining an active match, I died a few times, while waiting to appear in the game. Quite frustrating. (2) Camera zooms in so much after a Vanguard Charge that it's easy to lose one's orientation and I'm meleeing empty air instead of the Berserker... And, oh, Bio, please add lots of pyrotechnics to blind me in this intense action. (3) The Ascendant is one tough bastard. And, I don't like his instant kill when he pops next to me. (4) There are too many Kett-Dogs that pop out of nowhere.

Tried MP, starting character power is pathetic.
It's like I'm begging to be carried through dozens of matches because the starting weapons and powers are so pathetically weak.
Incinerate on Salarian architect has this monstrously long cooldown compared to SP, and it virtually does the same thing for many more times the cooldown.
They then stuck an engineer archetype with that useless barricade for some reason. Who thought it was a great idea to make barricade into a power cell skill, and it bears no synergy with the architect's toolkit whatsoever.
The AI for the Remnant VI is somehow way worse than in SP, it feels like I can't control it at all.

Noticed that one of the SP loading screen tips says sniper rifles do more damage when scoped in. Is that also true for MP?

My guess is all weapons do more damag when scoped. Really??? Do you mean the scope attachment? The zoomed-in mode regardless of whether or not the weapon has a scope? Or do you only mean weapons that come stock with a scope (i. e. sniper rifles)?

For some weapons that come with a scope but aren't sniper rifles, like the sandstorm, it doesnt matter. All weapons are far more accurate when you aren't firing from the hip.

No, I mean the zoomed-in mode. At least that was my impression after 80 hours of SP. Never noticed that. I don't think that should be the case, it makes no sense for zoom to affect damage. It does, however, affect accuracy, and that affects time to kill. Could that be what you were observing?

That would be very unlikely. Snipers are that way because... well I guess it's to deter you from using snipers in a way that isn't indicative of "sniping". Always seemed like they were trying too hard to force playstyle instead of letting players have fun as they like. The damage you see in the stats is while you're aiming, hipfiring carries up to 50% damage penalty, although weapons like the Raptor seems to have much less penalty.

I thought that that scope thing was to simulate the effect of being able to target critical locations without having a complete medical / engineering model for each of the targets you are shooting?

I would like an option to enable such that quick match will not join me into a lobby whose population does not meet level recommendations (level 10+ for silver, level 18+ for gold).
I all too often get repeatedly into lobbies where someone with a level 1 soldier thinks they are prepared to tackle gold kett. And, ok, maybe they will be switching to another character. (Maybe also, or maybe even instead?, people should be required to click past an "Are you sure?" dialog before getting into lobbies like that.)
