The Gay Knight in Shining Armor

That's the mindset that I was afraid of though. There's just so much media backlash from this game that it will hurt Dragon Age, that's not fair. Don't blame the Dragon age team for baiting people for five years as the Mass effect team has done. The DA team has LGBT people working on the game and writing the stories. They've always been inclusive and given the middle finger to all anti inclusive media since DAO.

The ME team is obviously a bunch of dudebro's who threw in Gil to reassure us. We took the bait and now they have our pre-order money. Just remember today when/if they decide to make another ME game. 

Personally, I will create a twitter account for the first time and ask them this one and only question, "Why would you include a MM romance, knowing that you have no intention of making quality content and string people along for 5 whole years? " Honestly, I would have rather they just didn't include it at all rather than insult us.

What about someone like Aragorn from Lotr?
Someone with a noble heart, a fearless fighter but very gentle (that scene where he soothes his horse still makes me smile). Also super good at leading people. I'd really like to see a gay or lesbian character who's actually in charge of something and well respected by everybody.

The character could be any gender really, I just love the concept of rugged looking strong characters with a natural gift of leading people. Someone who is very calm and collected but gives their 100% in everything they do. Someone who a lot of people could look up to and say "Damn, goals tbh!".

I'm still more into my qunari fantasies. But I think if qunari are in our squad in DA4 it's going to be a woman.

I'm thinking DA4 will go something like this

Male human - bi
Male human - straight
Male elf - gay
Female human - bi
Female dwarf - bi
Female qunari - lesbian
Female elf - straight

I'm at least 100% sure about the male gay elf. It's coming, I can feel it tbh!

Nono, I can definitely see the gay elf happening. We've had 3 male elves as LIs and two of them are bi, one of them straight.
Next romanceable male elf is DEFINITELY gay. No question about it, nu-uh! And if DA4 is going to focus a lot on the elves, he is going to be very story relevant, probably an opposing force to Solas, one way or another? Or maybe you'll seduce him to your side and make him disobey and betray Solas.

Hi hi - pretty new here. I do have to say I wanted to order the game but now I will wait until it is much cheaper. I'm disappointed by how lopsided the love interest choices are - it just seems really disproportionate especially when we came away from DAI with 1 full gay love interest and 1 bi love interest for males that were both squad-mates, and not just side characters. I'm female but I personally love playing male characters my first time in an rpg, so now I feel like I'll just enjoy playing Sarah more, but not how I wanted to start.

There has been bi and lesbian female elves, not a straight one.
There has been bi and straight male elves, not a gay one.
I think straight female elf and gay male elf are definitely part of the DA4 squad, as well as a bi male human and a lady qunari LI who is at least bi, if not totally lesbian.

If Scout Harding is back in DA4, then she is definitely going to be the bi dwarf, not leaving room for another bi dwarf, really. I know it's a pretty close-minded way to look at things, but I don't think BW's first game with dwarven LIs are going to have TWO LGBT dwarves.

Yeah... I don't know dude, DA is much more in touch with their playerbase I feel, and I think the devs know that a gay, plot important LI won't cause a destruction. Like there's so many Male Lavellan x Dorian Pavus fanfics written by girls it's ridiculous. But we'll see, the pressure is definitely on for the DA team!

Alistair and Cullen are definitely on the relm of their own, but are either of them truly plot relevant? I think the only TRULY plot relevant LIs are Morrigan, Anders and Solas. But there's definitely room to have more bi/gay LIs be more plot relevant, Dorian was a good start but they can do better. I'm really convinced that there's going to be a gay and a bi guy in the next DA4 squad, and MAYBE even a third one from the '' crew. '' I'm placing a lot of faith on DA4 and maybe I shouldn't, MEA has left me a little sore, but I'm at least convinced we'll get two '' squad '' mlm for the next game, that much I am fully able to believe. 

You flirt with Harding but it never goes anywhere. I think Harding was a testing ground for a dwarf LI. I think she'll continue to DA4, probably her ties with Dorian will make her relevant, even a squadmate. 

Yeah I keep hearing this '' Dorian is loved by straight dudes '' thing so yeah, why not. But I'm still going to be bitter about Dorian, because I can already see them putting all the character development into DA4, when it should've been in DAI. What's the point in romancing him if all the good shit is in DA4?! That's why I personally believe Dorian should've been unromanceable/a fling in DAI, and then a LI in DA4 when he has grown and more central to the plot (if he is going to be that). That would've been the best way to go, imo. Then they could've made Blackwall gay and I'd be super happy ;__; Gay Blackwall is my wet dream dude.

He is all alone, poor handsome Qunari being rejected by Cullen and Blackwall. A shame. 

Can't go through Dorian's romance, it's just not in me. I'd rather be forced into a kinky BDSM relationship. That works. Whatever.

We have warriors, but not as knight kind. As I said before: Fenris have/had a good potential, but too damaged, sadly. Iron Bull? Haha, he is a big rogue with a big battle ax... or something... 
But you're right. We didn't see so far a lesbian KISA, even a warrior... Cassandra/Aveline, for example, would be perfect lesbian/bi KISA. I hope for you in the next game.

My worst nightmare would be us finally getting a f/f warrior option but she has Merrill's "soft sapphics" style romance where she's all virginal and cutesy and the other characters treat her like she's a child.

The thing is I'm very femme and I've dated a lot of other femmes, but they're not the only ones I'm into! It'd suck if the only f/f romance options we ever get
for DA are super feminine.




The thing is, I've always been kind of jealous because I would love a f/f romance option like Fenris: a serious warrior with a dark past. Hell, I'd love an f/f version of the Iron Bull romance too. I totally agree that there should be more variety for m/m romances, but it really sucks that the f/f romances tend to all have really young female characters that are portrayed as either cutesy or quirky or adorable.


So, in general, here's an idea of how I'd love DA4 to go:
Bi Scout Harding as the "right hand woman" plot relevant character who's in all the marketing
Straight male mage as the "default hetero love interest" who's in all the marketing
Gay KISA male warrior as the "default gay love interest" who's in all the marketing
Lesbian Ice Queen Qunari warrior companion
Straight female elfy rogue who's not plot relevant because I'm evil
Bi male twinky elf mage
Dorian as the silver fox advisor/NPC who you can try to flirt with as a guy but always be rejected no matter what (due to DA:I's romances)
Bi male advisor who has a crush on Dorian

and probably more but here's just some ideas
