Dear Bioware/Dear Ian, We want ask/encourage you to made patch/DLC which give more customization Freedom to MEA squadmates. We are not vs squadmates unique look/fashion until it don't become shame for intelligence like PeeBee in everyday cloth on planets with very dangerous environmental conditions. Personally I like DA:I style it have a compromise from both worlds. Weapons is from other side are things on which we want to have at least half control (I think on choice which shotgun or pistol it will use, at least like ME2/3 style). All these weapon/armor choices and crafting in game is almost pointless without more customization Freedom for squadmates...
For people who don't like customization or are bored by it add auto equip option in game on this way we ALL BE HAPPY and you WILL GET DEEPER AND RICHER GAME!
Also if you add ME2/3 weapons customization style expand squadmates weapon proficiency in way that it is in connection with its background: example Cora are Solder and security personal on ark so It is logical that she is expert with pistols, assault rifles, and sniper rifles from other side: Nakmor Drack are 1400 years old Krogan warrior so he is surly expert in almost every weapon especially heavy but he surly don't use pistols and snipers. Thank you for your time and attentionLong Live and Prospor \V/

At the very least, we should have alternate (armored) looks and helmets for those who don't have them.
The ability to at least mod companion weapons would be nice as well. But swapping out weapons like ME3 would be better.

if they find the time more is good, but I don't think they need to rush or half kill them selfs for it. if nothing else people would have to find else to declare ME:A not a real rpg or say bioware is dumbing things down.

I think it depends. I'd like to try the new mechanic out for myself before deciding blindly whether I like it or don't like it.

Honestly it doesn't matter that much to me to customize my squadmates, since I tend to get into a habit of selecting a default team and only use the rest when I have to. I mean my main party in DA:I is Sera, Dorian, and Iron Bull and they get the best weapons and armor and the rest of my companions end up get their hand-me-downs once I find and/or make them better gear (if I even remember to do it).
It less of a chore for me to find and/or make gear for squadmates that I rarely if ever use.

I like RPGs. I like getting new equipment and equipping it on my team. I understand if there are gamers who don't engage with these systems and don't really care. I do, so I vote yes. At the very least some hardsuit looks for the rest of the team.

I want characters that engage in combat and/or visit hostile environments to be protected by armor and full helmets.
Anything less (DA2, ME2, missing helmets in ME3) wreck immersion and internal consistency of the world.

No, customisation should not be DLC. It should be added in a free patch. Actual new content should be the only DLC.

One additional thought, just because I have no particularly issue with it does not mean that others feel the same, I respect the differing concerns of others.
I liked having additional looks for loyal squadmates in ME2. I disliked (a lot) the cash-grab that was the likes of 'Spoils of the Qunari'.
I would welcome additional 'looks' but it's a 'nice to have' in my view.
As for weapons, I understand the restriction is to allow AI to be improved and for crewmate combat style to be more defined - so here I'd like to see it in action before deciding.

They found a good in-between for Inquisition. I thought Bioware said they were learning from it?
Going back to the ME2 DAII system is not learning, Bioware, c'mon.
Hopefully they at least get some kind of alternate gear with armor and helmets. Getting really sick of those breath masks, to the point that I'm about to just refuse to take anyone with me who doesn't have a helmet. I hate being one of those people that cries about immersion, but it looks really obnoxiously out of place.

Patches to respond to the most annoyed requests. Like HELMETS. Use it as PR that the game gets supported throughout 2017 (2018?).
Incorporated in larger story DLC (as rewards for finishing? in shops?) to reward the most awesome but uniquely themed looks.
I highly dislike appearance-only DLCs. I only got it for the trilogy because I was fairly obsessed but I am no longer. I only got it for DAI because it was included in GOTY (which itself was bought on discount).

The poll question's a bit of a mess; I don't know what I'm voting on. Are we talking about a paid DLC? Are we talking about just an appearance pack, or a pack with both appearances and weapons. Does the pack necessarily include gear which looks appropriate for hazardous conditions.

The Weapons of my squadmates I don't care that much. if the companions are not suppose to use a different weapons considering their role in the team.
For exemple if drack is suppose to keep a shotgun for the purpose of his krogan charge and being most of the time in close range, I am all right with that.
For armor, I don't care that much into not equiping them with different one, If drack is supposed to always have an heavy armor for gameplay purpose I am all right with his stats to be only according to his level.
what I want on the other hand is different skins. I want to be able to have different looking costume for my squadmates, I loved to do that in pretty much every rpg, I love different looks for my characters in SWTOR DAO and DAI and I ABSOLUTELY want that in MEA.
So if it is not there at release, I want that to be either given as free dlc, or included in a bigger single player dlc WITHOUT raising the price of the dlc, giving it more value. As I explained in my thread yesterday :http://bsn.boards.net/thread/4916/mea-dlc-bioware-ea

Without knowing exactly how much it cost, I don't think the DAI approach of having every piece of armour look different on various characters is efficient. An additional set of outfits (all of which are more realistic) would be a good compromise. Having said that, I wouldn't pay for it, it is very low priority for me.
Weapons are a different case. If they got in the way of the AI or were too costly for cutscenes, then don't give us the option. The feature is of such low importance to me that if there is a good reason not to allow it, don't allow it. I would prefer resources spent on story and combat improvements.

Fans made a patch (a mod actually) for Dragon Age 2 that allowed you to change your companion's armors. It wasn't a technical limitation at all. All it needed was a couple of days, maybe months of unprofessional modding and it worked. However, apparently it went against BioWare's design to the game and I think that's the same problem as Andromeda.
...however, if they're already planning paid DLC for alt appearances... well, fuck off, because we have proof you could simply patch it or even mod it on PC.

Squadmates can't use half the fuckin guns in ME3 correctly (no, Tali, the Reegar is not a sniper rifle). Do we REALLY want them to allow us to give squadmates all kinds of bonkers guns that we've augmented out and put weird ass mods on and fail even worse at using them?
"Hey Liam, here's a Carnifax that's been augmented to fire sticky grenades, and here's one that's been augmented to fire homing plasma shots, they both take different playing styles to use aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand you're dead now because you don't know what the fuck you're doing."
Sounds super cool.
As for the outfits... if you're still shocked and shaken by the fact that they have their own clothes after ME2 and ME3, man, you're naive as fuck aintcha.
