They put Cyberpunk on hold until TW3 was finished. So it's been in full development for almost a couple years now. We'll either see something this year or the next. If Andromeda is a bust, a lot of people will be looking towards Cyberpunk 2077 to fill in the gap. CDProjektRed is pretty much the current King of the WRPG world. Bethesda is shitting the bed, and Bioware....well we'll see very soon. Yeah, but CDPR isn't really one to put out a game before it's absolutely ready, and all reports say the game's gonna be monstrous. I figure we might hear about it in the next year or so, but I don't imagine we'll actually get it for some time. Hell, maybe it'll be going toe to toe with The Elder Scrolls 6 for all I know. Nah man I figure 2019-2020 launch. We might see more in the year leadup to it's launch.

They will. Do you play the gwent card game? Simply magnificent and it's only in closed beta. One of the most balanced games I've seen in a long time. It could easily become as balanced as Overwatch. I feel it's launch is going to take the card game world by storm. Already big streamers like lifecoach from Hearthstone and others are jumping ship. This was originally a mini-game in the Witcher 3. Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be amazing. It's the game after that we have to worry. When the ego's start getting in the way. It happens with every big company.

As someone who's very critical of ME3, I feel I'm going in with reasonable expectations. I want it to be good. Who the hell doesn't? There are only a handful of AAA devs who make RPGs. But I'm replaying ME1 and even with that game it's clear how the industry as a whole has improved. So I won't be cutting them any slack either.

I doubt Cyberpunk 2077 is going to end up being competition, seeing as CDPR seems so dedicated and tight-lipped about it that they'll likely release it in 2077 at this point. That's not a dig at it, it's admirable really. :S They put Cyberpunk on hold until TW3 was finished. Some people will like it, some people will hate it. That's what I think is going to happen. I've enjoyed ever Bioware game I've bought, so I don't think I'll be disappointed.

I get the sense that opinions regarding this game will be all over the place. Some people will say it's the greatest RPG of all time, others will say it's complete garbage and killed the Mass Effect franchise. I get the sense there won't be much in between either. To be fair, BioWare could produce a literal turd and sell it as a Mass Effect game and some of their fans would still call it the greatest RPG of all time simply because of the BioWare brand. And for it to be complete garbage, the combat would have to suck pretty badly, which I don't think it will. The story will either be something bland that can't get out of the trilogy's shadow or another of Super MAC's intelligence-destroying monstrosities a'la the ME3 endings. It will most likely be the former since this game screams "playing it safe". That means they're probably not going to try more of ME3 endings and their artsy-fartsy, aneurysm-inducing narrative. Of course, with Super MAC at the helm, there's no actual lower limit to how fucking awful the story could turn out.

For the metacritic score I predict a 90 or at least 85 when you goes into the critics score, review sites and reviewers. When it will be the user score, it might be more in the 7.5 to 8.5. But we shall see about it. What I am seeing is that MEA is mostly an evolution of some mechanics of DAI, and it provides a more accessible gameplay to the customer. But unless its really bad, there is no way I am not going to enjoy it, I loved every bioware games except dragon age 2 so the 80 canadian dollars I shall pay will be well spent.
But sure, there is going to be haters, I have argue with tons of them on youtube or jeuvideo.com, the people who cannot accept the fact that some players think Mass effect 3 is a good game (yeah the original ending was shitty but I loved the rest) and they genuinely enjoyed it. Whatever your opinion about the third game is, I think its disproportionate to insults, harass someone who has a good opinion about mass effect 3 or think he is paid reviewer if he gave a bioware game a good score like angry joe (not everybody who disliked mass effect 3 is like that, I am telling that before it goes into a flame war, I am speaking about the extremist, if you just hated mass effect 3 its not problematic) :
You see there is a difference between someone who is skeptical about MEA for whatever reasons (which is perfectly understandable, this marketing campaign is certainly not flawless) and the people who WANTS the game to be bad and then fail just because they want bioware to go bankrupt. And yes I have seen some of them being that psychopathic. To the point where they wish others to have a bad experience when they will play MEA
I think I could show you this video of jim sterling that sums up this kind of problem :
But yeah there will be people hating to no end claiming MEA is the worst game ever, right now there is lots of "worst game ever" and those are not always ride to hell retribution :
Or mind jack :
I can predict it, for many people MEA will be the worst game ever. Like the absolute WORST.

Works both ways, really. Certainly true if you mean the white cuckpremacists who get upset when women, minorities and LGBT get to take center stage in entertainment. The "It would be the best game of all time if it wasn't being ruined by BioWare's cultural marxist white genocide SJW cancer cuckery"-crowd. If Andromeda turns out to be the best BioWare game made so far, I will gladly say so, but that will require some fucking amazeballs writing involving Protheans escaping to Andromeda to become the Remnants and the Nexus becoming, upon its completion, a Mass Relay link back to the Milky Way. I really wish there where more than 3 companies that made legit AAA quality western RPG's. Some would say its only 1, but i would say its 4. You forgot Obsidian. I do think Bioware and Bethesda has a lot of work to do though going forward. Obsidian is the only developer I know that has been able to turn out solid, quality games while simultaneously getting fucked over by their publishers. Kotor 2 and Fallout: New Vegas were godlike creations, even with missing content and glaring technical shortcomings as a result of retarded publisher deadlines.

I think I'm going into it with reasonable expectations from what I've seen so far, namely that the combat looks a lot of fun to me, I enjoy crafting and resource gathering in RPGs, and I'm fine with exploration it just isn't a high priority for me. On the other hand, I'm not particularly enthused about the plot, or the characters so we'll see how it goes.
It probably will be a very divisive game though, a lot of people will blindly hate it or blindly love it, others will weigh up the pros and cons. The main thing I'll keep in mind though, is that the opinion of the 'games journalists' is worthless. They're the same people who gave DA2 glowing reviews at launch and then jumped on the hate bandwagon 6+ months later when they realised the fanbase felt a bit differently. Better to play yourself, talk with friends or watch streams to see for yourself.

I just found out that the game has a weapon that looks similar to an AR/modern day rifle, so the game just bumped up from, "this is pretty good" to "this is goddamn amazing" within the past 30 seconds.
All I need now is for a handgun to look like a modern day gun and I'll be set.
It's the Pathfinder Observer if you were curious.

I agree, its going to be a very marmite game, no doubt very polarised fans will abound for sure. Even more so than DA:I imo, as Mass Effect is a so much more beloved series, with a more, shall we say passionate fanbase if you will.

Multiplayer will rock...will be worth it, for that alone. And combat overall. Story, characters and direction, will be divisive definitely. Mass Effect was always more "emotional" series, so brace yourselves for a few weeks of rampant hysteria.

I know the PC guys will be butt hurt by this, but I wish Bioware had held off from EA and made a deal with PlayStation this generation to become a PlayStation studio like Guerrilla or Naughty Dawg. Think about the talent of original Bioware with the appropriate money and care and no EA bullshit. They could have even done a pc port

I remember what it was when I was on ps3 and could only play the first mass effect by borrowing my brother xbox 360, not something I wish to anyone It's fine if you want bioware to not be owned by EA, but don't you prefer them to be bought by a multiplatform company? Like bethesda, that would be better. Not that sony is the worst among the big publisher, but if it is sony the game could only played by playstation owners. which I think would be a shame.

I'm not sure I agree with what Microsoft is doing by putting their games on PC, but I get why the think it's a good idea. Exclusives aren't dying but clearly they aren't as important as they once where.

Well the exclusive are one of the reason to buy a console in the first place, I agree that it would be a shame if only psowners could play mass effect andromeda But even if they don't make as much money as possible by selling their game on only one platform, they make their money elsewhere by convincing people to go with their brands of console, with also the ps store and ps plus or xbox live and xbox gold. A console with 0 exclusive would not survive long.

I presume fan base have time to kill to rpg Nostradamus a week before the game release, and imagine what it could or couldnt be
At least we can say bioware is honnest this time. It is not so common to let people try the game in this extent.

For the metacritic score I predict a 90 or at least 85 when you goes into the critics score, review sites and reviewers. Review site ... Players opinions will probably be more important than review sites. Both agreed on ME 1 and 2, but not for mass effect 3.
I presume fan base have time to kill to rpg Nostradamus a week before the game release, and imagine what it could or couldnt be
At least we can say bioware is honnest this time. It is not so common to let people try the game in this extent.
Well even user review is not always to trust, at least for me, I don't agree with the user review of dying light which are very positive when I agree nearly 100% with angry joe opinion on the game : And also according to user review on metacritic, bloodrayne a movie made by uwe boll has a good score and should be watched : www.metacritic.com/movie/bloodrayne

It really seems like at this point both sides are waiting for a chance to prove each other wrong. Or at the very least find ONE flaw and try to convince anyone with a shred amount of optimism that Andromeda will fail. Hell, at this point it really seems like there are plenty of haters do DO want this game to fail. You have the concern fans who want this game to be good but not be overly excited and those who shit on this game if they find ONE thing that's not to their liking. My point is whether this game will be good or not (I think it'll be good) the internet is gonna be a war zone. So kinda like it is now but with more insults and homophobic slurs going around. This what I believe how the internet is going to react when Andromeda comes out next week - stream1.gifsoup.com/view7/2555480/anchorman-fight-o.gif

Gwent closed beta beats Hearthstone in almost every way. Especially in balancing and startegic. CDPR is really consisitant in product quality.
