You either loved it or you didn't. I don't really see a need for another option. This isn't about whether the game was perfect or not. Obviously, there are some outstanding issues that virtually everybody is in agreement on. After 10 hours, I think most will be able to determine whether they want to continue playing MEA or move on to another game. I've never been a huge fan of the Dual Shock controllers, although the PS4 version is far superior to the PSX, PS2, and PS3 versions. That being said, I'm sure the game will still be enjoyable on the PS4. For shooters, my go to controls are M/KB always. I could always use my X1 controller, which is what I did for DAI, but I don't believe it will be necessary for this game. There is a lot more nuance that goes into something over a binary choice like love or hate. Simple as that really. Reasonable minds may differ. You are the only person so far to take issue with the poll. If you feel the choices do not reflect your views on the trial, you don't have to vote.

I had fun. Still saving an hour left for tomorrow, so I can get my fix, but the fact that I want to keep playing is a good sign I'll enjoy this game though it does have certain quirks like not being able to manually save during "priority missions" which is a very big deal for me. Michael Gamble says it's being investigated, but won't be a day 1 solution so it's just a matter of being patient I guess. Overall, the positives heavily outweighed the negatives for me so I'll definitely be getting the game. Just going to hope some of the negatives go away through future patches/updates.

I'm not really sure if anything can be done to rectify the CC issue, considering Alec Ryder's likeness is tied to your character. That being said, I think there is probably something that can be done with just about everything people are providing feedback on. BioWare claims they can improve the facial animations, so I'll take their word for it.

Can we get more options? :-p Love is too strong a word. Did I enjoy it a little? yes. Did I get frustrated much? Yes too. If you did not love it, then your answer is "no." Saying "no" doesn't mean you hated the trial. You are more than welcome to provide context for your choice in your comment. Yes, and I wish I had left it until the day before release. This wait is torture. Agreed. Really, I don't think there should be a lock after 10 hours. There's already a lock of the single player story and BioWare could also lock MP if they chose. Just let me explore and collect resources on Eos. I'd be happy with that until the game officially launches.

EVERYTHING IS CLUNKY!!!

Unfortunately I've been seeing many people across the internet trying to shut down criticisms others are making towards the game down to the point that there are more people complaining about people criticizing the game than there are people criticizing the game. Just gotta enjoy what we got and keep the feedback going

Alright then, so I voted no, and I already highlighted my gripe in the stickied feedback thread, but it can be summed up in 3 words: EVERYTHING IS CLUNKY!!!Can you explain what you mean by "clunky"? I actually felt some of the highlights of the game are the fluidity of motion and traversing the environment. Of course, I'm playing on a PC with a mouse and keyboard. It may be an entirely different experience with a controller, which are never as precise or as responsive. I haven't tried the game with my X1 controller so I can't comment on that.

Think of it like a relationship: a person doesn't have to be perfect and without flaws for you to love them; and in the same vein, a person doesn't have to be completely flawed for you to hate them. The OP is really asking for your overall opinion of your trial experience, not a detailed breakdown of all the positives and negatives. I realize the game has it's flaws: character creation, facial animations, unskipable galaxy map travel screens (which I suspect is possibly a loading screen)...but did I enjoy the time I spent playing the game? Absolutely! I can't wait to play more of the 21st. Or hopefully sooner...please Bioware make it sooner.

I'd say there is a very high chance that certain issues will be resolved in patches/updates. BioWare did include the Black Emporium as an update in DAI, among other things. I'm not really sure if anything can be done to rectify the CC issue, considering Alec Ryder's likeness is tied to your character. That being said, I think there is probably something that can be done with just about everything people are providing feedback on. BioWare claims they can improve the facial animations, so I'll take their word for it. Taking their word on patching/updating the game is about all we can do. People who have issues with the game just need to keep voicing them and letting the Mass Effect team know that their overall experience with the game will improve if they give some of the areas of their game some more attention. Unfortunately I've been seeing many people across the internet trying to shut down criticisms others are making towards the game down to the point that there are more people complaining about people criticizing the game than there are people criticizing the game. Just gotta enjoy what we got and keep the feedback going Fair enough. I'm all about constructive criticism. The CC and facial animations could definitely use significant improvement and that's being brought up by virtually everybody. I only take issue with non-constructive criticism, such as "the game sucks." It's not helpful to BioWare or anyone else when feedback is provided that doesn't actually provide anything of value. From what I've seen in the feedback thread, most folks are providing a lot of great feedback to the team. In fact, I think those of us who played in the early trial will likely have a huge impact on a lot of the early patches and updates to the game. It's easier for BioWare to manage feedback of those who have Origin/EA Access rather than trying to consolidate all the feedback of those who purchase the game post-release. The great thing about games today is that they are never just finished once they release. It's become customary for games to receive support and content over a period of a year or so after the initial release. I'm positive BioWare will continue to polish and improve, and hopefully we'll get a lot of what we are asking for.

Yes, and I wish I had left it until the day before release. This wait is torture. I hear you there. I am finishing out a trilogy playthrough to pass the time but after playing as Ryder for eight hours the other night Shepard feels like he has cement in his boots and the Normandy feels like a tin can compared to the Tempest. Still having fun with ME3 but it is also been there done that.

CC was awful. Adept severely nerfed, if you play tech you have overload for shields and incinerate or flame thrower for armour, if you play combat the right combination of weapons ammo and abilities you can take on any thing. If you play biotic with no warp or reave when faced with shielded or armoured enemies you have to switch to tech or combat/ weapons. In previous games I was able play through just using biotic with minimal gun play. Scanning and jumping gets old really fast, and I fear are overused in this game. The planet map animations take too long and get old. Having to go to forward stations or look around for medical crates to heal is tedious, why get rid of medigel and health regen? I found adept to be pretty powerful, except against remnant. Adept work best with leveling. Biotic power offer CC over damage. If you want damage soldier and tech trees are the best, that is not the strength of biotics abilities. Soldier and tech related profiles have linear progression : the bonus are flat one dimensional increase. Adept (and not the hybrids one) have multi-dimensional bonus : -Aoe Damage (the worst) -Duration (nice) -Aoe Radius and combo radius (the best) The adept lack some power at the beginning because you the level design make the enemies often far from on another and biotic have a hard time dealing with shielded opponents. However with armors, profile bonus and skill tree the radius and combo damage goes way up with time. I have no doubt we will gave 7m radius aoe at some point in the game and nuking everything with combo and combo detonation. Currently pull and throw are very good.

On the whole, yes. I did enjoy it, though there were a lot of issues that bothered me. I loved the jetpack, scanning, combat, exploration, Nomad, profiles and side quests didn't feel meaningless. Animations, disconnected dialogue, character creator were chief among my biggest concerns.

The poll is telling. I am reading a lot of hate, but the proof is in the poll. In this forum's base, it is showing the majority enjoyed the game. I understand people have certain expectations and people see and are upset with some of the games shortcomings, but I believe the overall experience will be a good one.
I still have 10 minutes left on trial, so I will be using that time to upgrade my SP armor and etc. for release day. I have seen how challenging MP is, I am still learning the changes in the controls and all, but my experience has been positive and look forward to the 21st. Cheers.

Agreed, and that was really the point of the poll. It's easy to criticize and jump on the bandwagon. What I wanted to know is how many of those of us who have access actually loved the first ten hours overall. There are issues with execution and polish, but it seems to me a majority of gamers are loving what they are playing and want to see more. I know I can't wait to get back into the game the moment it unlocks on Origin. I'm counting down the hours in anticipation!
