In the light of mixed reviews: Pre-Order cancelled?

Of course not!! I've had this pre ordered since forever and I don't care about other opinions but my own here and I've yet to play the full game. I did enjoy the trial immensely.

Sure, there are some stuff here and there that could have been better but it won't affect my desire to play the game. Can't wait!!

Years and years ago a movie came out that critics universally loved = I hated every minute of it. Most boring movie I have ever seen.
Another movie came out at around the same time and was universally hated by the critics = I loved every minute of it and have watched it again many times over the years.

This feels like the same thing to me lol.

All the hate and I love it. (I do see faults and I do have things I wish were different, but they wont kill the game for me).

Well absolutely not, even if it IS a pile of mess poo, it's MY pile of mess poo!!!

But I am a huge fan of the series and one mediocre entry isn't going to swear it off. (I'm looking at you DA2...) Also it's their baby studio, I don't think they've ever done a job that big before on their own. I just hope they take the criticisms seriously and improve on the next one.

When it comes down to it, I trust my friends and myself. I loved DAII, which took quite the drubbing if you remember, so...I've pre-ordered it, and have no interest in allowing IGN or some other rubbish publication detract from my experience. I have my issues with how this was handled, but I fully intent to go through that game as many times as possible. I'm good.

It's already being shipped to me so I can't cancel it even if I wanted to and I don't.

I enjoyed the trial and watched a lot of game play that satisfied my worries, some of the criticism is warranted but I don't really care about the animation, I'm more about the story. I have 0 plans on cancelling and will form my own opinion on what the game is like.

I will not cancel as I am still very excited for this game. Some critics seem overly harsh to me on some aspects of this game. Wonky facial animations is pretty much a given with Bioware as they have never been great at it. And it has never made me not like their games because of it. I have already tested the beginning of the game and I am very excited for it. The exploration feeling and the combat alone is more than enough for me to buy it. I will judge the story and such on my own and not let some bad reviews turn me away. Because if it is one thing I know, is that peoples tastes in entertainment is very varied. Some of my favorite movies and games have poor reviews, but I don't care. What matters is if I get enjoyment out of it.

I knew it wouldn't be a terrible game but did have doubts this new team would make a high quality title. As it stands it seems the game is decent overall but sadly below the standards set by the OT. It's not a disaster but it is disappointing to be honest.

So really I've went from someone who would have bought the game on release, to someone who will rent it and maybe get it later down the line. I mostly rent these days, buying only now and again, so I'm a bit more discerning with what games I purchase.  

I still think I'll enjoy playing it overall.
