It finally ends. Not that I am happy about the result, but I appreciate the peace in this certainty.

I understand how it can go, especially right now with emotions running so high. I'm not asking everyone to automatically get along, but I am asking that any fights go to a PM.

So? I was hoping MEA would actually be a quality addition to the series, I was wrong, you don't see me raging about it and blatantly insulting people that disagree.

Somewhat unrelated, but does anyone know about this Dr Carlyle/Dr Charlie/Harry person that was datamined for M/M romance?

I went into this blind thinking there would be an m/m squad option because it's a futuristic fantasy story where male aliens couldn't possibly adhere to human sexuality gates...I was so wrong
I know the original trilogy had this problem but I thought things would only evolve with the new game but they regressed 

This is a good time to bring this back up.

To me, folks enjoying romances in video games isn't anything weird. Video games are just another medium like books, film or TV. Some of the most beloved pieces of classic art and literature have two main themes: Love and war. For just one example, the story of Troy is about war, but it's also about the love of a woman. Mass Effect, at it's core, has a lot of elements about finding love and friendship during the darkest times of war. It's up to the individual on how well they do, but that's something I've noticed over the years.

Attempting to belittle someone for enjoying BioWare romances is a little weird to me. Honestly, would anyone feel any real shame about crying over a moving book about war and loss and love? Or a movie? Forget about romance novels, I'm talking stories of love, loss and war. Sure, there might be some brief embarrassment, but most folks would understand. This isn't any different. This is just the latest in a very very long generation of humans that have discovered stories about love and war. Only this time, we're experiencing it in a way that being a spectator would never match.

I mean, it's not like we're here for any sex scenes. Let's be honest, most of us are old enough or at least savvy enough to find digitized versions of sexual acts. We're here for the story. The romances add to the overarching story for me, and for others as well.


To each their own, but try to think about it that way.
