Heres my strategy so far: I have 3 teams, my highest level team is the trash team and I send them on every mission that is above 10% success rate just for a chance of XP and mission credits. I think I've been really lucky as they just one negative trait (Been lvl 20 for a while). For my other two teams I'm sending them on missions of high probability of success mostly bronze and very little silver, no negative traits so far. I'll update this post when my teams get back from missions to post their traits. My Strike Teams imgur.com/gallery/oIEDt

I still only have my two initial teams and find this is enough. I am building them up slowly, started with bronze, then silver and now gold when I think the success rate is reasonable enough.
I have already bought the Juggernaut equipment piece and now have 220 mission funds saved. I think they need to make the equipment more expensive if it's going to be this easy to make the mission funds.

I have to spend MF on something:) Save it for the in-game equipment, which is set to rotate every Thursday according to Twitter. (Source: I read this someone and now can't find the link, but it was legit.) So that means if i dont earn enough mission funds until thursday i might miss the juggernaut shield and the thermal clip gear?

I'm not at home now so I can't check in-game. There's no way to tell in-game, we are going off what Bioware said on Twitter: store items will rotate every Thursday. As noted, with only a few items in the rotation if you miss out on something in a given week it will eventually rotate back in again. I looked again for the Tweet but couldn't find it. Sorry.

I've been traveling for 5 days, so haven't kept up with this thread, but have kept sending my Teams out through the app. I've got one team I'm just throwing at Golds over and over. They're up to having 5 negative traits, but really, it doesn't seem to matter all that much. They're level 20 (max), and still have high percentage chances on Bronze/Silver and generally have a 28-50 percent chance on Golds depending on the traits in play. Unless they end up with 8 or 9 negative traits, I'm not seeing much of a reason to retire a team, or to risk a good team on Golds. I've got 3 teams total now, and I just do all the Bronze/Silver missions with my two good teams, which means I always have a 94 percent chance with one of them, and manage to complete about 1 in 3 golds with the bad team.

strike teams don't matter actually, there's nothing worthwhile to purchase.

strike teams don't matter actually, there's nothing worthwhile to purchase. Eh, I'd disagree with that right now. Even once all the gear is bought, you can still refill revives/rockets with MF. And that means once I'm to the point where I just want to buy Premium Packs for Rare/UR cards, I don't have to spend any credits at all on lower packs to refill those consumables.

strike teams don't matter actually, there's nothing worthwhile to purchase. The only way to purchase gear like juggernaut shields, engineering kit, adaptive war amp, etc is with mission funds. You'll only get enough mission funds if you deploy strike teams and the strike teams succeed. Strike teams also get you useful single player stuff.

^^^^^^ This.
Also, as bjorn tried to point out, i like to send away Strike Teams on breakfast/lunchtime at work and they come home with money for cobras and medipacks, if there's no other stuff to buy.
Plus i like to have some Andromeda at my workplace :-)

OK this baffles me. Exact same mission, exact same team that leveled up, SAME SUCCESS CHANCE. Maybe there is rounding? Or level increments that kick in like 18-19 gives the same chances? Something about the date/time? Randomness and this is a coincidence?

Just for fun: all the unique mission names I have captured. I think these are just for flavor but WHO KNOWS! Maybe if you perform numerology on the words it explains something. Acquire Enemy Research Clear A Supply Route Clear an Escape Route Delay Ship Launches Destroy Enemy Warships Determine Enemy Strength Disrupt Enemy Communications Disrupt Enemy Movements Eliminate Enemy Saboteurs Eliminate Supply Ships Eliminate The Traitor Establish A Supply Depot Identify Enemy Loadouts Identify The Spy Investigate Unknown Signals Measure Enemy Response Obtain Encryption Key Obtain Mining Locations Obtain Prototype Schematics Obtain Tech Prototype Perform A Surgical Strike Protect Engineering Personnel Protect the Outpost Recover Stolen Habitation Data Recover Stolen Power Generators Recover The Artifact Retake an Occupied Facility Sabotage The Enemy Sabotage Weapons Shipment Scout the Unknown Search And Destroy Uncover Enemy Plans
There is probably an algorithm that puts together various keywords, like "Eliminate" + A, B, C, ... N.

I made the mistake of not buying a 2nd team until after I had bought my 1st gear as I didn't know how the whole system worked.
Mobius's video clued me in that I should buy another team and did so last night. Only issue now is not making the best use of the time for them as I don't have the app that lets you track and send them from mobile. I supposed I'll have to start bringing my tablet into work just for that so I get more missions.

It's not 2 hours of work it's 2 seconds to click the button in the app. After that you are just waiting for a timer to count down. Besides most of us are not able to play the game 24/7.

Yeah, I haven't been able to play the actual game since last Wednesday, since I was traveling, but I have been able to burn...what, 15-20 minutes total messing around with the app while I was on the road, which has got me 300+ MF to spend on consumables.
