Is it just me or you don't get weapons anymore in "item boxes", in SP? I have item boxes, but they are empty when I open them.
I have 940 MF, hoping there will be more in the item store than just cobra rpgs and gears, soon. I was expecting a daily rotation with expensive UR cards (400 MF by UR card would be fine, that's one week of apex missions).
Changing 50 MF for 1 premium pack wouldn't be bad too (that's one "free" premium pack per day if you have good strike teams). I don't understand why they invested so many resources in the item store, and a whole app about it.
Question: if you fail an Apex mission with a Strike team, can you still do it in MP and get the 10 MF out of it?

I learned something last night. If you assign a Strike Team to an APEX mission, you can still do it yourself. If you succeed, the Strike Team can be reclaimed and gets a small amount of experience (I got 5700 xp for a Gold). I'm slightly curious if the XP has any relationship to the time that has passed. Probably not, but possible. The only way I see this being useful is to escort a new Level 1 team up a few levels so they have a better chance on Bronzes.
After failing twice on today's Kett Gold (getting 3 Ascendant targets in Wave 6 back to back), I got mad and sent a Strike Team. Then a bit later figured I'd give it one more shot and got through.

Yes you can try apex missions repeatedly in either format until you succeed or the mission expires. Once you succeed, you can still play the mission in mp - You won't get the funds (again) but you will get the xp and credit bonus.
I've never gotten an empty loot item box in SP. Maybe your inventory was full? Maybe you lost connection to the server during your strike team session? Else just try a restart.

Nothing major for me, since I'm mostly done with SP.

I just opened a bunch of loot boxes in SP two nights ago, and everything worked fine. I've been stockpiling weapon boxes until I level up some, so I only opened 4 of them, but got 4 weapons.

It appears that we got another double set of Strike Team missions today, I've got 10 available despite having cleared everything last night. Either another bug, or maybe they're just doing a double set on the days they release gear so people can more easily buy it.
Edited to add: The expiration times on these appear to be all over the map. Weird.

So yeah...my level 20 strike team with 5 positive traits and no negative traits can't even complete gold missions. What is the point? They have a 50% chance of success in gold, and they failed the gold mission I sent them on...seems completely pointless to include gold missions if we can't even succeed in them! Lol.

I've only failed to clear one gold mission with Strike Teams in the last week. You can retry them if you fail. The only one I've failed to clear was a bad streak where it was a nearly 5 hour long mission, and I failed it three times.

Maxed out the crates. Going to have to start the campaign today to clear out inventory. It's strange how there's no inventory cap for consumables but there are for these things. I plan to stock up on crates for my playthrough when they finish polishing the game. I've got a save on the nexus where I can claim boxes I don't want to clear space for better boxes...

The questions I have about the strike teams...I have a level 20, 2 more are closing in on 20, and a 4th around level 10. As they progress I see their percentages go up a bit proportionally with difficulty, but even some gold challenges are around 40-55% for the level 20. Do level 20's still gain positive and negative traits? I assume the experience does nothing since that is max level. Is there any reason to retire a strike team? I see it as an option, but it would seem to only make sense if I needed more room for strike teams and the targeted team has a lot of negative traits.

At the moment, there isn't much reason to retire teams because there isn't much reason to maximize your mission funds intake. More complete answers are in the rest of the thread. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Yes, one can continue to get negative traits after reaching level 20 and some teams seem to be very proficient at failing missions (can fail right out of the gate on bronze and continue to fail bronze repeatedly while leveling to 20). One thing I found is that if a team fails a mission it's best to not send them on the same one again as it appears to up the chance of a negative trait. I'm up to 21 negative traits now on my fail team and I wonder if it's the max a team can get (not sure about that). The list is so long I need to take two screen images now and then paste them together to get it all in one image.

I really don't understand the RNG of how/when a trait is assigned.
My first Level 20 team has (5) positive traits and (0) negative traits; and they have failed numerous gold missions. Maybe just luck?
My second Level 20 team has (4)+ traits and (3)- traits.
My third team, a Level 9, is (2)+ and (1)-
On a side note, I find just assign gold missions to level up my teams too. Not sure if there is a more efficient strategy.

Positive traits are assigned at level 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20. Which makes a total of 5 positive traits. Though i cant definitively prove it, i believe that if you do an APEX mission when your very close to level 5, you can get enough experience on the APEX mission to skip level 5 and go right to level 6. Skipping the positive trait that should be assigned. I had two level 20 with only four traits, but being careful at the level 5 mark my next two teams got all 5 positive traits. Obviously a very small sample size, there may be other reasons for not getting a positive trait.

I'm up to 21 negative traits now on my fail team Holy crap dude! That's epic! We don't know if there is a maximum because we don't know how many random -5 traits there are, but there are 15 possible -10 traits so you have 1 more to go.

(5 assigned traits + 1 equipment)? That is, can you continue to earn POSITIVE traits after level 20? I only seem to get negative ones. On a site note, I think the % to successfully complete a mission is incorrectly displayed. I had failed two 94% bronze missions in a row; which statistically is a very, very low chance of happening. I'm curious what the highest % you can obtain with equipment, 98%?

If they actually made the Strike missions worth something other than just mission funds..then I might get interested in actually doing them....Like if we got a guaranteed rare / ultra run gun or a rare / ultra rare gun level up for completing the missions. Other wise, they are boring and don't appeal to me so I will just send some imaginary team to complete them for me to get me my boring mission funds.
