I had it completely wrong. The MF currency items are in the Store. You need to click on the middle tab "Item Store". Only things that appear for me in item store are basic consumables. Same. I'm not seeing an option to buy them in game.

So maybe this will help people.
Let's just say a maxed team with no equipment has a certain percentage chance of success on each level which diminishes as difficulty increases. Each trait the team has increases the teams chance of success by a certain level especially if it aligns with the three mission parameters I.E. night, enemies everywhere, weather conditions etc. Equipment increases chances of success as well according to level and mission parameters i.e. Nighttime and night vision would be ideal percentage wise. Likely traits are gained with experience not mission success or failure. Likely negative traits are gained with mission failures. That said you're still better off sending a team with little chance of success instead of just sitting on them until an easy mission comes up. This maximizes your chances of gaining mission funds. If a team has negative traits they likely stay BUT with equipment and high level they likely still have a high statistical chance of success in bronze missions.

I guess the negative traits probably don't go away, as an incentive to disband a Strike Team and form a new one. Otherwise there's kinda no point to that.

Yep. End game when you have a bunch of teams running you would retire the weakest and start over with equipment on a low level team and bring them along where they get no negative traits. Right now it's all about getting funds and recruiting with those funds to max probability of pay IMO. Bringing them along carefully/slowly might be safer as far as negative traits but it's so much less effective.

No they don't die but they do get penalties if they fail. Those penalties carry forward to their next mission. What I am not sure about is if at some point with enough successes can those penalties be removed. I would think they would or should be, but I have not seen anything that says they can be. Actually, it is not always that you get a penalty when you fail. Perhaps there is a chance that increases on the chance of mission failure. What I do know is that I failed 2 silver missions (I had 50% change of success on both), but (thankfully) my team didn't get any negative traits.

One thing I did wrong that I wish I could go back and undue; I bought a 3rd strike team thinking that it would help me gather MP sooner (in theory it would). However even my best team only has a 60-65% chance of success on the silver missions. There's usually only 2 bronze missions at any given time so now I've got my new strike team collecting dust until I can get one to consistently pass silver. Lesson: Buy 2 teams, then buy gear. Buy the 3rd team only once you have a team that can pass silver. send them out any way, they still get exp from fails, I've 3 teams up now 2 level 12+ and a 3rd quickly climbing to 10 and the funds to get a fourth not far off because i'm just always sending teams out on the shortest missions available even if there's hardly any chance of success. and actually you'd be surprised how often they succeed with something like 7% chance, I've 40 something boxes bronze, silver and gold stacked for SP I can attest to this, just finished a gold mission with a level 8 character and very low percentage. Also failed a bronze with a 89% chance I was not happy.

Where do all the loot boxes go that you get from Strike Team missions? I don't see any way in the iOS app to claim them.
Also my 'send wimpy strike teams on every mission' plan is so far working out. Only one negative trait (I guess that is the penalty for failure?) and a couple of random successes on... Silver I think? Of course the app doesn't keep a history of your missions so I'm going by memory here. Not quite OCD enough yet to track every mission I do.

(I'm just assuming the SP sucks since every Bioware SP has sucked since KotOR 1.)

Is the timer for completing the strike team mission fixed? Meaning if it says the mission takes 1:52:36, that is EXACTLY how long it will take? (i.e. it never finishes sooner than the timer says)

I've had several successful gold missions with ridiculously low chances of success. My asari squad had a 5% chance and succeeded BC it was a hostage situation and their trait was hostage negotiation.

I wonder if it pings the server occasionally or if everything is resident on the phone/tablet until the timer expires. I can see it being a nice data leak over time if you aren't on WiFi and on your phone.

Haha, of my two teams, one of them has ended up as the bumbling idiot squad while the other one are on the path to N7. My bad squad already has 3 negative traits on them (2 from my own fault from trying low chance golds, but one from a pretty high chance silver). I guess they're just my Kett killers now, since they're terrified of Outlaws and Remnant, but have a Hero Complex. Fucking scrubs.
Has anyone bought any equipment yet? I was wondering if you could move equipment between teams, or if once you buy it it is on that Team. I don't see a good way to figure that out without buying some. If equipment could be swapped, seems like it would make the most sense to invest in the 4 +20 pieces of gear that are conditional, since they're 150 MF whereas the overall +10 gear is 300MF. If gear can't be moved between teams, then the more expensive non-conditional bonus might be the better bet.

The dark lords I work for would never allow me to be out of constant contact. I even have a pager for when I'm out of civilization. I expect a fucking sat phone next for important questions that can't wait like how do I find my ass with both hands.

So far I have two turian teams and one asari team.

So far I have two turian teams and one asari team. Maybe. I do notice that the percentage chance of success is weird sometimes. Like I can have one team that's 2 levels higher than another, none of the traits (positive or negative) are in play, but the lower level team still has a higher success chance. It's either the race, or it's that some of the traits still come into play to a lesser degree even if their specific condition isn't present.
