I've completed my first mission and my team became "Rugged" (positive trait) Does anyone have an idea what difference it makes? The chance of success remained the same on the following mission. Perhaps the benefit for being rugged is sexier facial hair?

Does anyone notice that certain races are more effective versus certain enemy types? So far I have two turian teams and one asari team. Maybe. I do notice that the percentage chance of success is weird sometimes. Like I can have one team that's 2 levels higher than another, none of the traits (positive or negative) are in play, but the lower level team still has a higher success chance. It's either the race, or it's that some of the traits still come into play to a lesser degree even if their specific condition isn't present. The traits make a difference (or not) depending on the mission.

Only things that appear for me in item store are basic consumables. Master race? I'm seeing two gear for sale, can't afford either yet, but there are there. It appears that these aren't showing up on console. I'm tagging Tiberius because I haven't seen any confirmation of the devs being aware of this yet. Also I want my Bra gear.

Continuing to send my slightly-less-wimpy strike teams on Silver and Gold missions. I now have a level 9 and a level 10 team. They can get up into the high 60%s on Silver and I think 30%-ish on Gold. I've still failed the vast majority of these. I'd estimate out of 20 Silver/Gold missions I have 3 successes, all Silver. So far only one negative trait from all those failures, so either I've been very lucky or the chance for getting dinged with a negative trait is low. I am going to keep spinning the roulette wheel until my strike team starts to suck, I guess. Oh and I almost have enough fake money for the 2nd level equipment, that is +10 Effectiveness. I'll let you guys know what it does. For Science!

Like Dave the Scrub, I also bought two teams immediately, and sent them only on strike teams in Bronze for a few days. Have since moved in to Silver/Bronze. SO far no negative traits, despite 4-5 mission failures, but far more successes.
I have two strike teams: 1) A Salarian Team that has traits "Hostage Rescue" and "Specialist" Currently Level 8 2) Turian team that has "Night Time Advantage", "Kett Advantage" and "Virtuous" (whatever that means) Currently Level 10
It's key to look at each strike mission description, and see what conditions match your squad. Choose accordingly. Even at level 10, my teams are only registering a 7-10% chance of mission success on Gold, so I am not going to risk Gold probably for maybe even a few weeks, until my squads get their levels up to a 33% chance or so.
Here's a question, which I can't answer now because I don't have any Apex Strike missions in Bronze available (Apex Strike missions are those with the Orange apex logo on them, which can be played in regular multiplayer OR by you A.I strike teams). So, do you only get to play these once? Or can you play them more than once in regular multiplayer. One website said I could replay these missions, even if the A.I has completed them already. But I saw no evidence of this. I want to find a way to quickly farm those Mission Funds. It's going to take a loooong time to build up credits for armor if new missions only start once or twice a day, and then take A.I teams 1-6 hours to complete.
Also, I noticed that the App on my phone doesn't work if Origin is open on my computer. I had to Exit Origin (even on my desktop) to get the App to do anything. It said I was still in the game, clearly when I wasn't.

You can do the APEX missions as many times as you'd like in multiplayer, you just only get the mission funds once per day.

I had to Exit Origin (even on my desktop) to get the App to do anything. It said I was still in the game, clearly when I wasn't. As someone else mentioned; you can only replay those missions by playing multiplayer but you will only be rewarded once either way in order to stop people constantly repeating the same mission over and over to farm credits and boost their squads to the maximum level. With regards to it going to take a long time to build up credits for armour: I disagree. I've been using the app since it's UK release on Monday (barely touched Strike teams in Early Access), have managed to purchase 2 additional teams and am only a few missions away from being able to purchase both the Juggernaut Shield and Thermal Clip Boost once they are available on Xbox. New missions tend to appear far more than once or twice a day, with a maximum of 8 at once I believe. Oh and I should also note that the amount of mission points I can get is somewhat lessened by the fact that my squads aren't ready for gold yet so i'm leaving 3 missions alone.

So, APEX missions - the main (other than the fun of modifiers) reason to do them yourself instead of handing them to your strike teams is to bypass the RNG/waiting time inherent in using a strike team? No special rewards for doing them yourself?
As it stands, I am still using the bronze/silver APEX missions to level up my strike teams since the mission list is rather small per day.

I think sending teams on more missions even if they might fail works in your favor because they still get to level up and I believe leveling up increases their chances of success. My taurian team is at 60% success rate for silver now which means that I can put him on a mix of bronze and silver knowing he will mostly success.
How many missions do we get a day total? I'm not clear on what the maximum amount of missions we can get.

Some of those negative traits can be pretty major too... one of my friend's squads are scared of Kett, which drops success against Kett dramatically for that squad.

I bought some Strike Team equipment for 100 fake money, namely Empowered Shields II which is +10 Effectiveness.
Once I equipped this on a Strike Team I could not remove it. My only option was to replace it with some other equipment. Thus it appears (1) you can only have one things equipped at a time and (2) you can't move equipment among teams.
Also the +10 Effectiveness didn't appear to be actually +10. It increased my Strike Team's success rate on a Bronze mission from 88% to 92%, not to 98% like I expected.
Bottom line it seems like the Strike Team equipment is a waste of fake money.
Oh well, if I got 100 fake money in three days, it won't take that long to build up again.

A question - probably someone answered it but i didnt quite see it.
When a strike missions is successfull - you gain boxes you can use in single player. Is said boxes locked to the last singleplayer character you played or can you open them whit any of your characters ?
Right now i have a really fugly 1 hour single player female character i dont intend to play so i really dont want my boxes to go to her.

I've completed my first mission and my team became "Rugged" (positive trait) Does anyone have an idea what difference it makes? The chance of success remained the same on the following mission. Perhaps the benefit for being rugged is sexier facial hair? ME:A doesn't really have facial hair, ask Scott.

Yeah, both of my teams now have the Outlaw Specialist perk and so far today there has been 1 Outlaw Bronze mission (which I don't need the extra help for) and the rest are Kett or Remnant Silver/Gold missions. *sigh*
