It appears that these aren't showing up on console. I'm tagging Tiberius because I haven't seen any confirmation of the devs being aware of this yet. Also I want my Bra gear. Yes, we're aware. Equipment items are already live in the Item Store for PC users, and they'll go live for console users too when we push our next MP update out to roughly coincide with the European launch (tomorrow). Thanks for clearing this out was wondering if I'm just a dummy for not finding equipment anywhere.

My turians either really love me or hate me. Only 3% chance of success? Well hell let's send the turian squad out there. What the hell am I paying you guys for otherwise? I've had about five fails with these guys with no negative traits. My Asari squad fails one time and gets a negative trait. WTF?

So, equipment upgrades for strike team, how do they work?
Is there a limit to how many a strike team can carry? If there is a limit, can you get new ones to replace/overwrite old ones, or you need to get a new team?
Can you take them off a strike team and give them to another?
Do you get them back if you retire a team?

I bought some Strike Team equipment for 100 fake money, namely Empowered Shields II which is +10 Effectiveness. Once I equipped this on a Strike Team I could not remove it. My only option was to replace it with some other equipment. Thus it appears (1) you can only have one things equipped at a time and (2) you can't move equipment among teams. Also the +10 Effectiveness didn't appear to be actually +10. It increased my Strike Team's success rate on a Bronze mission from 88% to 92%, not to 98% like I expected. Bottom line it seems like the Strike Team equipment is a waste of fake money. Oh well, if I got 100 fake money in three days, it won't take that long to build up again. Thanks for verifying that part, good to know you can't swap equipment around between teams. Now the questions remaining are if you get the equipment back if you retire a team, or if you can swap equipment if you replace it. For how much it costs, I would hope that you could, but it wouldn't surprise me if you can't. For the highest end gear, you're looking at 30 to 60 missions to pay back its cost if it can only ever be used by the squad you bought it for, and a lot of those missions you would probably have succeeded or failed on regardless of the gear. It's probably something like 200-300 missions to pay back the cost if you figure in how many missions where the equipment made the difference in success vs failure. As far as not raising it to 98 percent, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a cap on effectiveness, like you can never reach 100 percent, so bonuses have diminish returns once you cross like 90 percent or something. In which case, it's even more missions to actually pay back the cost, since it's not always the stated bonus. Barring something radically changing from what we've seen, I think I'll probably just bank up a few hundred, and then start spending MF on consumables. I assume that there's probably a cap on consumables again, so the sooner I can hit the cap on heals/ammo packs, the sooner the rest of my consumable drops are rockets and revives.

Do you get them back if you retire a team? From my experience based on a sample size of one: * The upgrade goes on the strike team and improves its mission success chance (possibly not by the amount displayed, maybe due to success chance caps or some other scaling factor we don't know about). * 1 equipment per strike team. Tested with a level 10 team. Maybe higher level teams have more slots? * New equipment overwrites old equipment (according to the help screen, not tested yet). * Cannot remove from the strike team. * Unknown about retiring the team.

Sweet, my first Gold success! It was a 9% chance. (I was totally off when I said I was seeing 30% chances on Gold, dunno why I thought that.)

Some random data, trying to figure out how success chances work.
(edited) Ugh, never mind, my app wasn't updating correctly. When I closed and re-opened the percentages were different. I'll move this into a Google Sheet and share when I've cleaned it up.

Does the new Apex mission mean the patch has dropped or is that just a coincidence? If it did drop, gear is still not showing in store on Xbox. Edit: Nevermind, they're there now.

I wonder if negative traits can only occur on a failed APEX Mission? As in perhaps a failed Strike Team Mission won't give you one.
Keep track of what mission types result in negative traits, perhaps we could see a pattern.

Damn you for feeding into my OCD. *sigh* Fine, starting with my two current missions I'll keep track of everything.

I get a message that I have to exit the game to make changes in the app, that the functionality is not currently available. However, exiting the game doesn't work. Restarting the app doesn't work either. Takes several minutes for it to get that I am not in the game.
Edit - is there a location to access the strike teams on the normandy? Or is it only that one location on nexus?

Keep track of what mission types result in negative traits, perhaps we could see a pattern. I failed a a few silver APEX missions, but fortunately my team didn't get any penalty. I particularly thing all mission failures can get negative traits, but the chance is small.

I figure I'll end up with 3 teams, and rather than buy equipment, just retire a team when it gets too many negatives to be consistent on Silver anymore and start a new Team. So that's 80MF for however often that has to happen.

I've just mostly been sending them on missions with 80%+ Success chance. Had one failure and no negative traits yet. If there are no missions with 80%+, I just don't send them.

Strike teams are not working for me still, they stopped working late last night on the apex app and in the game. Sigh,on the Apex app, when I tap start mission after picking my squad says, Sorry this functionality is not currently available. Please exit the game to make changes in app. I'm not even in the game though and when I actually am in the game and press to send extraction team, nothing happens and then it disconnects from the server and back to the main menu.

I figure if they start putting out more of these that would can use my trash team on bronze.

I figure if they start putting out more of these that would can use my trash team on bronze. Yeah, I won't disband one for a bit, but the cost to recruit seems to go up with every team, so I imagine there are diminishing returns of having 4+ teams if the cost to recruit keeps going up by 40 or more for each team. Unless they start giving us lots more missions, two teams are all you need to run all the missions in a day. I think a single team can do it if you're only doing the Bronze/Silver ones that you can't run yourself. I wonder if there's a cap on the negative traits you can get? I think I'm just going to start throwing my bad team at Golds and see how bad it can get. I quit doing sending them out on Golds after I got the third negative on one team. But I almost have enough MF to recruit a 3rd team (and I've already bought the Juggernaut and Ammo gears, so there's nothing particularly useful to hoard MF for right now). I'll just see how terrible they can get, if you can actually get a team to be completely unusable, or if it caps. If it caps, they could be useful for throwing at Golds, because even with a 10 percent chance, that's better to use them than risk a negative trait on a 33 percent chance with my good team.

Well after going in game and trying again, it seems it to be only stuffing up on certain missions.
