At least it's a game that's objectively better - CT actually had branching paths - on an SNES game from the 90's. Hell - Chrono could die in the game and you could keep playing the game without him. It legitimately shits on Andromeda - whose legacy will be never ending memes for people to look back on. out of curiosity...did CT have a voiced protagonist? Think he was silent.. Not really subjective though - CT is critically one of the consensus best RPGs of all time. Story, characters, choices, battle system, branching - it set a lot of standards. Andromeda kinda just sets a meme standard and serves as a lesson on how games shouldn't be rushed. it's like comparing a pristine apple with an apple that's rotten with worms. You can still like the rotten apple -- even prefer it I suppose, but you'll be in the minority.

I don't care if I'm in this so called minority and again just because a lot of people liked it doesn't make it objectively better.

It bugs the crap out of me when protagonists are silent in games, never liked it in the Ace Combat games, and it especially bugs me in RPGs where I need character voice to immerse myself and come up with a character.

After finding out that EA's fiscal year ended in March, it's clear they were forced release it by the end of the fiscal year. Publicly traded company standards of pleasing investors caused the lack of polish. Most companies won't learn from it, but at least now they know how people will react. The game should have been pushed to June

One sentence is not a rant. It is. No, it is not. A rant is commonly defined as basically: "to speak or shout at length in an angry, impassioned way." or "a spell of ranting; a tirade"
You clearly made this in response to No wonder Andromeda sucks. Because the game formula they copied, The Witcher 3, sucks! judging by the title of your thread but while Terminator Force at least dedicated the effort to actually explaining in a detailed opening post why he didn't like Witcher 3, you didn't even bother to write more than a sentence that contains nothing that would contribute to a discussion, let alone be worthy of its own thread. All this thread does is make you look like you just couldn't handle someone not liking Witcher 3.

You had more fun playing one game more then another...congratulations. indeed. Sadly it outperforms Andromeda as a "SCI-FI ROLE PLAYING GAME"

I had more fun replaying Chrono trigger. /end rant Don't worry, people like you killed the franchise. You'll never have to see another mass effect again.

I probably played ME1-2-3, 40 times all told. I played ME3 MP for thousands of hours. I loved those games. I found ME3's ending to be a steaming pile of dung but I loved the three games anyway.
I am not going to play, I find it impossible to play a second playthrough of Andromeda. The game sucks in a way even Starchild from ME3 could not.
Thanks for listening.

Hello. Welcome to Mass Effect: Andromeda. After 5 years in development, I hope it has been worth the weight wait. My favorite class, is the Infiltrator. Thanks, and have fun. - Gabe Newell.
Don't know exactly what the connection with OP's post is. But I guess a random thread as this deserves a random meme in return.

Yeah the classless combat system and Ryder being a set character as well as lack of meaningful choices does reduce the replay value dramatically. But at least you finished the game!

Pfft, nothing beats Starchild. If not for the immense hours of enjoyment that precedes it, I'd probably loathe the entire franchise specifically because of that moment we meet it.

Thanks for sharing shootist, I couldn't force myself to do another play through either. I wouldn't say the game is terrible, mediocre at best but it certainly didn't live up to the Mass Effect Trilogy in my eyes.

Tried forcing myself to do a NG+. Made it all the way up to the part about the Quarian Ark and said nah.
Its not worth walking through that last door one last time, to officially close out the post credit stuff with the Asaru and the Shepard shuffle.
I went home and played Mordins last datapad entry from the citadel dlc, holding back tears as the new voice actor, who wasn't even in Mass Effect 2, gave a rendition of amazing grace.
Watched Jack hold her head on Shepards shoulder and then walk away.
Then I loaded up a save file and did it all again.
Slowly stroking the outter edge of my controller with my index finger as I played through it all one more time. Almost climaxing as we reached our crescendo together and embraced eternity my controller vibrating in ecstasy.
But I held back a little, we have to keep this van rockin a while longer yet.
And I still have a Talimance save file to get through tonight....
