Mine is super-odd. I went with default Male Ryder, and he (and a few others) actually refer to him as Scott! It feels weird having a first name in a Mass Effect game, and I like it. Yes I actually love having a first name for once, it's pretty cool. Not sure I will always go with the defaults but it is neat. Things I appreciate: Armor that doesn't make Sara look a walking tank. Yay!! HELMETS, that you can choose to wear or not planetside. Yes and thank you. Jump jet. Planets to explore. The galaxy map is gorgeous and way immersive.

I like that the puzzles are actually challenging. Sure it's pretty much Sudoku, but I appreciate the game giving me a chance to actually think compared to the "puzzles" that in other RPG's that I've played.

I haven't dug far enough in the game yet to say for sure what my absolute favorite thing is. By the same token, so far, I have many likes, despite the shortcomings. My squad, what I know of them so far. The Tempest isn't too shabby either. Also, the noise my pyjak makes Scenery is beautiful. Humor. The feeling of playing a ME game again & discovering things/learning about new things Dialogue options Kallo Jath- He's my favorite non-squad crew member
Windows that let me look outside the Tempest Running. I can turn/change direction easily now, instead of the previous running in straight line-stop-change direction-continue running lol Despite the flaws, there are too many things to name that I enjoy about MEA.

The humor! I LOVE the humor! And my crew. Everyone has a unique personality. They feel like real people. Real friends. And playing a Biotic is the best way to have the most enjoyment out of this game imo! Plus I like the Vaults and all the exploration! The humor, characters, and exploration elements for sure. I haven't played as Sara yet but Tom Taylorson really nailed it. The combat just takes game from great to amazing

Please take that to the dislike side. I am tired of seeing the bashing especially with the mood I am in. There is a reason I avoid the doomsayer side.

I'll admit I too am tired of seeing the game endless getting a lot of undeserved criticism especially if it's from the same people.

I like the game and I'm enjoying it. I went into it with low expectations and aware of all the criticisms it had gotten from other people. So I was quite surprised to find out that it's not that bad. I'm having fun with the game even with all its flaws and that's all that matters to me.

I have playing the game a lot, I really like it, even if the animations are kinda wonky I still enjoy it. I also love Ryder, I think is one of my favorites main characters in BW, is not hard to related to them.

The ryders feel like me and my bro lost in space The whole game feels like it: An old friend you love that barrowed you 50 bucks and would never give them back.An honest friend that did his best but didn't shine in everything he had shown. Like your oldest buddy that messes up sometimes but always make you feel warm with a hug andd entertain you quite alot

Went in with as little expectation as possible, have been avoiding most of the press since about January.. I'm about 20 hours in just finished Havarl and I adore this game. I see a lot of time and care gone into this even if others don't, and it's upsetting to see what seems like a large chunk of the fanbase not acknowledging this. Seen a lot of picking it to pieces largely based on small things instead. A lot of the major things have been discussed, so a few of the little things I've loved so far.. - Textures on the armours based on environment. Caught my eye right away. Particularly Havarl, you can even see the rain collecting and dripping across the armour throughout cut scenes. - The variety in voice acting is extremely impressive. Very pleased to hear so many Aussies here as an Aussie myself. - The movement animations. In gameplay and cut scenes, the characters move with a lot of fluidity in most cases – particularly Ryder. - Call me crazy but scanning is basically my new hobby. I scan the shit out of anything and everything and love doing it. - Very few loading screens. - The galaxy map is pretty and I personally prefer Andromeda's map music. Significantly less deafening. - Puzzles. Challenging but totally doable with patience. Sign me up. - I’m playing Sara Ryder and I cannot describe how much I love being able to play a science nerd in this game. It really suits the lighter feel and I easily prefer Ryder’s personality to Shepard’s. - The robot worms are awesome. Overall I love the game and the characters are very worthy editions to the series. I don’t miss the old faces at all. Andromeda is fresh and I’m very pleased with it so far, think I'll be back in this thread once I've finished. Just wanted to share

lets spread some love? seriusly sounds more like you are trying to spread some viral disease or something, STOP IT! No just NO!!! lol i got to ask how many fake profiles here from bioware trying to put a positive spin on this train wreck of disaster MEA is....raise your hands!! cmon on now dont be shy. Dude...I know this sounds really weird but...people actually have genuine positive opinions about this game. And also...did you know that there's this thing called "constructive criticism"? You should try it sometime Also, I'm not sure why you're even in a Mass Effect forum if you think MEA is a disaster so yeah...

-Exploration -The reward of building a working outpost after starting with some obstacle -Crew -Graphics -Driving the Nomad -Combat system -Story -Tempest design
Haven't dabbled too much into the crafting yet. I made a Carnifex, but I haven't done too much with it. Sounds interesting though.

Jet packing in combat.
Explorer class.
Cryo is even better in this game.
The characters are so much better developed.
Peebz Cora Drack Suvi love 'em.
Tom Taylorson.
Danielle Rayne.
Whoever @yolakin is in IRL. (I haven't looked for her real name yet help me out here.)
Drack is so damn funny and OP.
Tempest is better than either Normandy.
Tempest banter.
Crafting shotguns.
There are moments that I won't spoil that bring the feels....Real ones.
Most of the VA work is excellent.
If you avoid sidequests you can wind up underleveled early on because of a lack of powers but the story plays better and its reasonably enjoyable so far.
I want to complete things, the drive is there.
Atmosphere in certain locals is perfect and thats one of the biggest things for me in games.
I'll think of more after I click create post theres a lit to like.

The galaxy map is gorgeous and way immersive. This game easily has my favorite armor of the entire series. Nothing, I feel, in the original trilogy comes close to my preferred armors in this game, save for the former's ability to trigger some nostalgia. As for the galaxy map, I am thoroughly pleased with that too. I actually hated the little ship on the map, and also disliked the refueling mechanic. It was not a change I'd welcome over ME1's implementation. I'll gladly take the animation of this map over that.

Hey guys I know this thread leans more onto the positive side, but what do you think of this video?: This video bashed the release version of the game We have plenty of story DLCs ahead of us and if they achieve quality like with Lair of The Shadow Broker or The Citadel DLCs, then we will get greatly improved ME:A. I don't even need to mention, that they cannot bash the multiplayer, which - its current state - is already amazingly fun! I can see myself playing ME:A regularly just for the MP mode alone (which will get plenty of free stuff in DLCs too). Overall ME:A actually IS like ME1 - it has strong highpoints and bunch of those annoying bugs/shortcomings like the first game in the overall series. And the more I play it the more it grows on me, the second playthrough will be better simply because I won't feel "too blind" in terms of the missions and plot, I will know better what to pursue in which time of the story.

Tbh the only armor I liked the OT was the DLC armor the Ajax but they had to ruin that with a Cerberus paint job

It's even worse in that there's a proper Alliance version of that armor in the game, and it's exclusively on the motherlovin' N7 Demolisher.

I have problems with this game, sure, but I do enjoy it.
the characters are very alive, very ... 'real' I guess. This doesn't necessarily go towards Lexi and your crew of course, even small NPCs like the Doctor on Kadara, I found myself empathising and caring about greatly.

Once people realise this isn't Mass Effect 4, the sooner they'll come to realise that this is simply the base for a new Mass Effect saga. This is the studios first Mass Effect game, remember how ME 1 was and how much ME2 improved upon that? Well imagine the next title in Andromeda. Im sure they're listening to criticism and taking it into account for the next title. Im really looking forward to seeing what happens next in Andromeda, I really enjoyed this game.
