I really enjoy the little details that can be found. When I got the settlement going on Eos Sara took a stroll and talked to everyone there. The doctor for example. Traded a few words and I felt that he was a good npc with interesting things to say.
Then I went further into the story and have liberated the Moshae, next time on Eos that doctor had a comment on exaltation. I found that to be really really great.
A npc back on one of the outposts reacts to the main story. Love little things like that!

I just made an Isharay 4 with the beam regenerate, charged shots and tracker rounds, and explosion upon impact augments. Needless to say I am loving this crafting system. Haha. I'm still looking for my thing but last reincarnation of my Sidewinder is shieldbashing and armor piercing at least. With extra clip, barrel and scope it makes for a helluva sidearm. I may even ditch a shotgun and go with just that and the karfalon (?).

When angaran NPCs started to discuss what to do with planet I only got quest to find, that was something. I wanted to go to them and tell them to stop spoiling stuff.

Had fun doing some housekeeping on that ice planet last night. A good two hours of pottering about tying up loose ends before heading off to turn on the monoliths. I'm finding it perfectly suited to short 2/3 hour sessions.

Some people complain about a "lack of grit". I just advanced the story and got hit with grit in spades. I guess as always the bashers are just that. Bashers.

So, first hours of playing MEA were painful to me. And disappointing - I felt bored and just couldn't feel the ME climate. But now (I am exploring Kadara atm) I am really enjoying it. I feel like side quests became more interesting, which helps a lot, and I really like the created world. Yes, I'd like to feel more connection with my team, I'm not fully convinced to the new protagonist, and I think the story repeats the OT too much, but none of this makes me really unhappy and I think all in all, the game is good. If I could really change something, that would be the inventory system, otherwise - I don't regret buying it and I'm certainly going to replay it soon

So again i had a 'people who are complaining about this game aren't playing it moment'. I had to make probably one of the toughest decisions i have ever had to make in a Bioware game...during a side quest. Oh and i did not have to fire a single shot either. Though maybe if i went the other way.
Ah yes this game is nothing but 'fetch quests'

Now that I'm essentially a crackfiend that spent over an hour just trying to decide what kind of gun I want to craft, this thing is easily one of my favorite purchases in a good while, even more than my 50% off purchase of TW3 ( I had to mention it because of reasons). In any case, the funky animation that I experienced in parts of the beginning of the game don't seem to be as apparent the more I progress, and I guess I'm one of those lucky few that's yet to experience any serious bugs outside of multiplayer (lag and crashes). I think what enthralls me the most about the game (so far) is that the whole role of Pathfinder pathfinding things is that wandering and investigating feels more encouraged, so I never quite feel like my PC is wasting time going off the beaten path.

I'm finding it perfectly suited to short 2/3 hour sessions. Yes! I play a couple hours after work and 30 minutes or so before work. Game will take me quite some time to finish but that's fine because I am really enjoying it. After 5 years of bad taste in my mouth concerning me3 endings, very good!

They need to release a patch that gets rid of the rubbish puzzles. They got rid of them after Mass Effect 1 but now they've brought it back and made it even worse. It slows down the gameplay and it's not fun. Who actually enjoys doing them?

I'm thirty or so hours in and while I have my criticisms I do really like this game and want it to succeed. Honestly this is, for me at least, the first proper Mass Effect game since the original. If there is one thing I will not forgive though it's the character creation system. It sucks I hate it and I want it to crawl in a hole and die a slow, miserable, lonely death.

But they're a bit immersion breaking and don't really make much sense in the game. Save

I really like the puzzles it is nice to figure them out. Prefer these to the ones we had in ME1. They also serve as a good way to know if you are actually too sleepy to play and should be in bed already. I had one of those 5-tiles Sudoku that I kept messing up, just plain didn't see if there were two of the same thing in a row or a staple. Figured that I would deal with it the next day instead, like solving them by myself.

The game is starting to feel a lot like SWTOR Smuggler's story, only obviously with many more bells, whistles, twists and turns, and yeah, that's another check marks on my "I want to see it again" list! I'v done Liam's loyalty mission, and, yeah, Smuggler feel all the way, the villain's dialogue and the party banter was priceless....

They need to release a patch that gets rid of the rubbish puzzles. They got rid of them after Mass Effect 1 but now they've brought it back and made it even worse. It slows down the gameplay and it's not fun. Who actually enjoys doing them? I did the simple ones and liked them. But harder ones, I don't bother, and just look up the solution on the net. My favourites were code fragments matching for hacks in ME2. It was the closest of the puzzles to give me "in character" feel. But I totally love hunting for runes at every monolith, no matter how cheesy it is. And the vaults so far were just really cool jumping puzzles. And that's from someone who hated jumping puzzles in SWTOR.

It slows down the gameplay and it's not fun. Who actually enjoys doing them? Progress through the game and you'll find decryption keys which obviate the need to actually do the puzzle if you dont want to. I started finding them in the Hidden Caches you unlock via the AVP military perk Reconaissance, just FYI.

There are some really well done segments in the game, but all of them seem to be confined to linear and smaller locations. I don't feel that the semi-open world elements add much if anything to ME:A.
