They need to release a patch that gets rid of the rubbish puzzles. They got rid of them after Mass Effect 1 but now they've brought it back and made it even worse. It slows down the gameplay and it's not fun. Who actually enjoys doing them? I know some people simply dislike puzzles. In those cases, I'd recommend bookmarking a page with all of he solutions and just cheating through them. Also, you collect a ton of those Remnant Keys that allow you to open without solving, so you can use them often. I thought that these puzzles were at least well integrated. The glyphs are insanely dense data packets, and we have to decipher they language and complete a text, in order to get into a given monument, crate or whatnot. That's a pretty cool way to frame Sudoku. where? I've only found one the entire game.

Any remnant sites may host them. Always collect everything from these sites. You'll know that you've done so when the map icon changes from white to blue. They're also found in all vaults. Architects drop them in large numbers, if I remember correctly. Also, colfoley, I just read your "early in game" review. It sounds like you're sprinting through the kett storyline, with the intention of returning to the exploration and "angara first contact" storylines. Be aware that the road will be more challenging this way, since you'll lack the relationships you'd have otherwise made. I'm actually really curious to hear how things unfold, though, if you continue on that approach. I imagine it will completely alter the dynamic of many other characters and events.

So with every putting up negative reviews. Are there any favorable reviews besides TB?

It's such a shame that so many reviews are either negative or ho-hum. People may miss out on a very good game by relying on these reviews. I went in dreading the worst, because of the consistently poor reviews. Now, though, I truly can't comprehend how many of these individuals are seeing this game through that lens. The technical issues are inexcusable. By "technical issues", I mean lagging, crashing, and assorted bugs. The other common criticisms seem silly, though, based upon my experience with the game.
I played this game for 122 hours and achieved 98% completion. I've already started, deleted, and restarted a NG+. That gives me an additional 10 hours, or so, in game experience. I simply do not see most of the issues people are on about, endlessly. This is turning into a bit of a review, so I may as well throw out a rough list of Negatives and Positives. It will be in no particular order, and I'll likely forget a ton of stuff. Also, I'm typing very quickly, so grammar may suffer.
Negatives:
* The Character Creator can fashion some beautiful, realistic characters. My Sara was amazing, and I'm now playing her twin in my NG+. (The twins both import.) That said, the options do feel like a straight jacket. If you're going to give us editable scans, instead of full creative control, then we need far more than 9 options.
* The save system is bad. I'm not entirely against the "no saves during priority missions" approach. There must be more frequent auto saves, though, if this is to be the case. Starting the game on Insanity with a Level-1 Chump led to several deaths on Habitat 7, as I tried to get a handle on the new mechanics. Rescanning the same rocks and debris three times sucks. I'm a Spectre 1000 Ultra Elite, now, so I never die anymore. I don't think new players should have to experience that crap as I experienced it, though. Not everyone has patience.
* Default characters really are pretty janky. I wasn't going to include this, but it's an issue. Much of the heat directed at this game is centered upon the "poor facial animations". The default Sara and Scott are two of the big culprits. They each do bizarre things, like strange tics, that "created characters" do not. For example, Scott's eyes squint and dart wildly, while his eyebrows jump unpredictably. I'm not sure why this happened, but it's brought unneeded heat upon the game.
* Bugs! This game is buggy as hell. There are so many bugs that I've already developed instinctive, reactionary fixes for many of them. They really do impact the player experience. If I could play this game smoothly, bug-free, I'd consider it a near masterpiece (in terms of personal enjoyment).
Positives:
* World-building and Characters: This setting felt so alive! Every NPC had life; every quest had relevance; the choices felt poignant. There is a lot of loving care evident in this game. The depth and quality afforded even the smallest, most out of the way NPCs and quests was pretty impressive. The NPCs react to the changing world around them, too. It makes my time as Ryder feel more meaningful when the people in Ryder's world are acknowledging the changes I've wrought.
* Crafting: I usually don't like crafting, but this game's crafting works. It's simple; you don't have to chase components and schematics; and it's effective.
* Combat: It's amazing! It took me a while to climb out of the low-level gutter; but once I did, things became amazing. This game is fast, fluid and fun. Playing on Insanity, the enemies are generally aggressive, and every battle requires vigilance. The larger battles, such as assaults on bases, are a blast. I'm torn between continuing to build my Level-76 character, or starting fresh with another Level-1 Chump. The fact that each is fun is telling.
* Companions: I like them. Liam is my least favorite, as I see him as too immature and unprofessional to be on the team. That said, I still like him, because he reminds me a lot of my nephew (when my nephew was 7yo). They're about the same age and all. He makes me shake my head and laugh, frequently. The entire team is likeable and mechanically effective. They all bring something to the table, in and out of combat. The loyalty missions and extra content are great. Drack has one scene that is extremely touching.
* Space! I love it! I understand that some people simply aren't as patient as I; but the slow animations in space don't bother me at all. It's so beautiful out there, I'm just enjoying the views along the way. I hope they speed this up, rather than eliminating it altogether, in future games. (It's seems safe to say that it won't remain unchanged.)
Alright, that's my messy, poorly formatted, and likely error-filled list. I could write a more proper "review", but I'm simply feeling too lazy, at the moment. It's late where I live, and I probably should be sleeping.

Do tou just wnjoy trolling this site? Your attitude has worn out its welcome. Especially when someone challenges some of your more ludicrous claims and you simply hide and can't actually discuss the game with any semblance of intelligence.

I know. It was a blast right? I really loved that fight. i wish combat was that intense in the OT I did both the Eos and Voeld bases last night. I heartily agree with you guys on the fun and intensity there. I went with my new favourite team of Liam and Peebee. Glorious combo explosions everywhere.
I then proceeded to do some low gravity nomadracing. Surprisingly fun.

Here's one from that well-known Polish website:... Actually, a lot of foreign (and small) websites are propping the game's scores up right now. Nothing like an English language (I assume American) narrow view of the world eh? Anything non English is foreign, small and their opinion not worth anything.

So last week I worked afternoons (14:00 - 22:00) so I played at night. MON-TUE: Checked time at 4:30 and managed to go to sleep at 7:15. Don't recommend that one. TUE-WED: Just played, when suddenly wild light appeared. Confused, I checked time. 7:22 FUCK. I REALLY don't recommend that.
Honestly I don't remember last time a game did this to me. And that's just singleplayed, MP will do worse things.

I'm kinda lucky I don't work (in a 9-5 sense). I am an in-home carer for my mum, incase you think Im lazy lol. I home school my daughter so it doesn't really matter what time of day we do it .. which is awesome.. because.. I don't think I have had a single "full" nights sleep since the game released. I sleep a couple of hours during the day and maybe a few hours in the morning. The rest is looking after mum, home school and playing the game... a lot. It's sad when the teenager in the house comes into the study to order you to go to bed

I'd like the space exploring part to be skippable. Sometimes I enjoy it and the scenery can be truly breathtaking. But sometimes I get bored with it and then it would have been awesome if I could just skip it. Generally - having a choice would be good.

where? I've only found one the entire game. Random Remant boxes in the sites you explore. Imo, they should have an option to buy a bunch of those keys on the second play through. It's not game-breaking, and the solutions are freely available on the net, but it would be nice to have a boon like that.

Ah, I also wanted to say, that I have a feeling I am past the half-way point in the game, and I really do not want it to end. Aww.... yes, I know I can do another PT, but so far this one was so awesome, and I love my Tempest bunch so much. I am seriously attached.

I like the game a lot! It reminds me of ME1 in a lot of ways. I'm not normally a fan of open world exploration games, but I think Andromeda does it way better than DA:I. Maybe I'll feel differently on subsequent playthroughs, but I feel like the side quests and tasks are more interesting and fleshed out than in DA:I. I also feel like the maps have more in them or are just more smaller and more manageable than in DA:I.
The squad mates are my favorite since ME2. I prefer them over the overall squad selection in both ME1 and ME3. Only ME2 had a better squad assortment. Can't really speak for romances yet, but they also seem to be done very well, better than in the trilogy.
Graphics are obviously improved with the Frostbite engine, although I hate the character creator, and some of the animations are derpy, but then again I thought DA:I had several derpy facial animations too so I'm not surprised. These things are not game breaking for me though, and I still would give this game a positive rating.
Combat is fun, although very challenging at times due to the lack of tactical pause. I do miss the HUD and pause feature from the trilogy though and the ability to control squad mates' abilities. This combat system feels strongly multiplayer-influenced, which makes sense given Montreal's involvement with ME3 multiplayer, but it's not my favorite style of combat. I've turned the game down to casual right now to focus more on the story.
Finally, we get to the story elements. I haven't finished the game yet, but I am satisfied with the story so far. The kett are believable, interesting antagonists. I'm glad we don't have another galactic-destroying level of enemy like the Reapers. I'm disappointed that the only two species we get to meet in this game are the kett and the angara though. I guess it makes sense that there's only one major sapient species in the Heleus cluster though, as it's only a cluster and thus a very small part of the Andromeda galaxy. And Andromeda does not seem to have a relay-type system so it would thus be very difficult or impossible to easily and quickly travel between clusters. Personal squad missions seem to be interesting and thought out. I'm glad we've got a return to loyalty missions a la ME2.
Anyway, that's just my quick and dirty impression of the game. I've got more thoughts on certain aspects, but I don't feel like typing a novel. Overall, I think the game is good, and I am enjoying it. I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10.

The combat to me is very reminiscent of Destiny. My vanguardy shenanigans is largely reminiscent of the striker titan's death from above super move, but here you can spam the hell out of it. Going back, the level of mobility is so ridiculously different that the old games feel like the characters are wearing lead boots.

Ah, I also wanted to say, that I have a feeling I am past the half-way point in the game, and I really do not want it to end. Aww.... yes, I know I can do another PT, but so far this one was so awesome, and I love my Tempest bunch so much. I am seriously attached. I felt the same! After I'd finished it, I got the worst withdrawal syndrome in a long time That's why I decided to start again, making more informed choices now and RP-ing in my mind a lot more. But at the end of the 1st PT I already missed everyone from my team. That's kind of funny how I went from skepticism and lack of interest in these new companions, to gradually building attachment and enjoying the game so much. I really hope for some quality DLCs and I hope that there will be ME:A 2, with Ryder as protagonist. I love how she grew and evolved during the game. And I totally enjoyed the ending with the sibling who rocked! I wish to get to know him better too in the next games...

I've been a bit critical of ME:A - particularly due to the romance content, some nonsensical writing, and the numerous bugs I've encountered such as Ryder drinking out of empty hands at the Vortex, two Drax's appearing side by side in the Kitchen, NPCs floating in mid-air, etc.
Now that I'm 20 or so hours in, I'm very happy I bought the game and am excited to see where the story goes.
I didn't think I would like any of the Squadmates, but I've grown to like most of them.
Glad I picked up the game, personally.

where? I've only found one the entire game. Random Remant boxes in the sites you explore. Yep. I....don't know. I can't say what has changed given this is my first time on the game so i just don't know. However i have actually gone back done a lot. Especially yesterday. I one hundred percented Voled...after being like 36...I hundred perecented Havarl...after being about twenty. Landed on both Elaaden and Kadara. And did some stuff with Liam. Whom i now hate. The only relationship thing i am unsure about is Vetra. Have not unlocked any of her loyalty stuff. And i am quite happy to say that the more i play the game the more concerns that i thought I'd have just melt away...this game just might get tier 1 yet.

And after the conclusion of the main story I felt the same way. I actually got a little depressed knowing it was all over. The nice thing is though i can do a second play through as the other sibling and make all the opposite choices and get a new experience.
