I love this game as well, for the most part. My only gripe is probably those Remnant decryption puzzles. Sudoku just isn't my thing. Other then that, I find the idea of colonizing planets to be fascinating. That and I'm a huge explorer junkie. Probably why this game became a hit for me. The worlds are amazing... but then so were the zones in Inquisition. And the nomad...... I loved the Mako but it is an RC car in comparison to the Nomad. So many great things in this game.

I have to say................. it really feels like a Mass Effect game. It does. Yes, it has the same feel as DAI but that was a similar setup as ME3 too. Find something, build it, build it more, do some side quests, find out more about main story, etc, etc. That's what these big open worlds are these days and people enjoy that, myself included. The formula here isn't overly original either but I do like quite a few other components added that enhance the game (great combat, plenty of additional background, solid characters, some unique game mechanics, the batmobile....er... Nomad), etc. And the complaints about the characters animations and facial expressions? Honestly, I haven't noticed it very much at all (I'm dude Ryder, custom build #6 -- almost no weirdness). The exception is Cora.... she gives out the creepy eyes quite a bit. I do notice the weird walking and short legs occasionally. And what's with elbows? People don't stick their elbows out like that, lol. Anyway, really enjoying the game so far and I wasn't at first, AT ALL. I had to get past what I read and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Right now, it's as enjoyable as any other ME game so far. Oh, and the character creator is abysmal. Absolutely atrocious. What if I want a pale white guy? And I want different eyes? And non-plastic hair? And don't want a broken nose? Or a douche haircut? Well, too bad, that's what you get. Where's my 5 o'clock shadow? And beard and facial hair color is always the same? And those eye brows, well they don't fit, I'll just change those........ no, no I won't. For the love of god........ you take a fairly solid editor and take away a ton of the options......... thanks. Oh...... and I miss my girl Liara Especially when there are references.........

I too am absolutely loving it, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to voice my displeasure at the crappy CC and animations. I want Bioware to suffer for marring this beautiful game, how dare they?

I'm enjoying it a lot. It doesn't measure up to the Original Trilogy, but it's a good game regardless.
Love the voice acting, the story, the characters, the missions.
Still getting used to the crafting and there are some buggy animations but I can look past those.
Hate the CC with a passion.

I am having that typical Bioware "Just one more mission... just one more conversation... what do you mean it's been 10 hours?!". Loving this game and don't get the hate at all. So much this. Got home last night and just sat down to play, and now its 8 in the morning. Who needs sleep? Not me!

Ha ha, that's what I did last night. I completely lost track of time. Tonight I will return to the main story, have spent a some time on side quests. Liked these much better than in DA:I.

I like the game a lot so far. I'm not far into the story yet but up to this point Andromeda has a very strong ME1 feel to it. I hope it's going to persist throughout the game! Some key story-line moments are very well done and also give off ME1 vibes. Like the Tempest arriving to the docking platform, I was feeling it.
The only complaint I have is some lip-sync issues in conversations but I can live with it.
Also, despite the brand new engine, the game looks exactly like Mass Effect. Call me nostalgic, but I love that, too.

I'm also loving the game so far and I'm very happy that I didn't read any of the negative threads floating around. I waited to form my own opinion and it's a very positive one. The only thing I'm not liking at all - beside the limited CC - is not having the option to quick/manual save when you want to. Hopefully they'll change that blunder soon.

As I said, I've already played many hours of ME:A and I find it exciting, as if it was an enhanced version of Mass Effect (the first). I'm not blind, and I see things that don't add up, like the very limited character creator that I hope BioWare will revamp in a future patch, or some weird graphic bugs (NPCs melted together, for example), or the lack of a quick save button; but in general I like it.

I'm liking the game so far.
Most of the criticism of the game's technical flaws is deserved, but the combat gameplay is the best it has ever been in the series, and the story and characters are mostly on par with other Mass Effect games.

I will post a more detailed opinion when I'm through the main story, but so far my impression is: it's like Mass Effect 1, except it's actually fun to play.

I played the 10 hour trial on Origin first (3.99 well spent) and enjoyed the game enough to buy it. While I certainly do have some issues with it, I'm having fun because I like discovery and the improved combat. I'm still on Eos and didn't get to talk to my squad all that much, but I can't wait to boot the Kett out of the cluster.
Performance wise, it runs smoothly on my PC and so far I only had one crash during a conversation that didn't repeat itself upon reload. Looking forward to trying the MP too.

40 hours in and so far it's really good, it feels like Mass Effect 1. Shame the character creator is bad, it hurts me more than the animation problem.

I have to say "liking" the game. Honestly, if the Nomad was faster (like boost was your cruising speed) and Bio implemented a planet-to-planet fast-travel system I'd up that to "loving." The game is just too big and there are too many steps to planet hoping that slows the pacing way down. 35 hours in and very few technical issues on PC, though I did have one annoying as hell bug in which I would take damage anytime I used the jetpack to dash/evade. It started about 10 hours in and then stopped about hour 25...but given how diverse and fluid the combat system in it was easy to work around. I'm playing default femRyder and she looks great...99% of animations are good. I'm having fun, which is the bottom line criteria for the success of any game. I start 2+ weeks of vacation tonight and much of that will be dedicated to MEA, so that pretty much says how I feel about it.

Poor game play? The combat is the best it has ever been. I like combat in ME as much as the next guy, but how is it better in Andromeda? Seems about the same. The hit markers are nice but not mandatory. Neither are jumpjets. What new feature(s) did you like so much?

For me this is one of the best games i have ever bought. By far best ME game, also outmatches all DA games. It is by far the largest game i have evver played, content is huge. It is the most luxury game i have ever played, it is so extremely well crafted (especially by new release-standards). You don't get such a expensively throughoutly made game often these days. There are bugs (minors) but ive seen all too many gamereleases that arent finished products but this is totally opposite. Not ONCE have the game crashed for me. I run the game on a old rig with gtx960 card. Never have i played a game looking this good and at the same time giving me such smooth ride, it does NOT overload my system (only when quitting game to desktop, it takes 5 minutes with blank screen ) Lastly, i am 48 and have been a hardcore gamer since 1990, spending 2-15 hrs daily on gaming. Yes, a pc game-junkie, but just because of that i think my words says something true about Andromeda. Never forget this is a GAME. You will not travel to a galaxy IRL with this title, like many critics seems to think. For me they are so totally spoiled in life. Remember 5 years and huge amounts of $$$ to create a thing like this. I can just take off my hat and bow saying thanks to those dedicated souls that has created this masterpiece. :-) Sidenote: What i dont like with the game is: 1. Characters in the game seems to say things as if it has already happened in the story yet i have not triggered it yet. 2. I have never liked the inaccessibility of maps, so i have to go back and forth to find the entrance. 3. Brain puzzles is not for me in games, the worst part in the game are these puzzles. 4. Wish planets were truly unexplored, but it seems they are already occupied before the player lands on them.
