The Kelly Chambers Thread

Kelly is my favorite Romance, it's a real shame that she didn't get any content in the Citadel DLC. I also kind of wished that we got to see her have dinner with Shepard (and that we could pick between it being an actual dinner or a fade-to-black sex scene).

On my first playthrough of ME3, I was pretty disappointed that I didn't see her since I didn't flirt with her in ME2. I didn't know that it wasn't considered "cheating" and I wanted to stay loyal to my LIs lol.

Now, I flirt away. It's really fun/cute in ME2 and, I agree, she's such an underrated character.

I don't believe so, since I believe that conversation only applies to the romances that flag the Paramour achievement in ME2. Kelly does not, only flagging that in ME3 if you continue her romance.

Not how I see her romance, but if that's how you see it then I'm glad it works out for you.
Poor Kelly.

I like her character, my Shepards always usually end up having her to dinner, if only just so I don't waste those hard earned credits by having to throw away my dead fish. And getting them back in ME3! Ah, feels good, man.

Seriously, while it would have been cool to have her have a bit of a bigger role, I just can't see her being a Phantom or anything like that. I think if I was going to put someone in Cerberus to betray the group, I would sooner have it be Jacob.

Back on the old forums there was a debate about whether or not Shepard & Kelly spent the night together, since that dinner date was in Shep's bedroom. Her writer (Dusty Everman) posted that whatever players thought happened, happened. It was left deliberately vague about whether they were intimately involved or never went further than dinner, and either interpretation is correct.

So at least in some playthroughs, depending on how you interpret that scene, they slept together. 

Of course either way it doesn't seem to have gone beyond that, so at best Kelly and Shepard were either just friends or had a fling in ME2. (again, depending on interpretation) It isn't until ME3 that it potentially becomes something more than that.

The disease can only be transmitted by varren so the only way it would be transmitted sexually was if a varren was screwing half the ship. The 'implications unpleasant' was referring to the prospect of the disease spreading in other ways, either naturally evolving like certain kinds of flu or artificially like a weapon. 

The only time it ever comes up is with Mordin, and he never mentions anyone since he has no idea how it got aboard and is spreading. The only people who have implicated her have been some of the players, where other players pointed out what I have and other pieces of evidence that clear everyone of that kind of scenario.

I've been running multiple playthroughs in ME3 to try to see all of the potential romances.

I understand that there is a romance option for Kelly in ME3 as long as she was at the point of dancing for you at the end of ME2.

From the Wiki it looks like the 'consumation' of the romance comes after the coup but I'm curious whether it's possible to get back together with Ashley/Kaiden afterwards as you aren't considered in a romance with the Virmire Survivor until you get the opportunity to sit down with them on the Citadel after the coup. So I'm wondering if you can trigger the Kelly thing and then get back with Ashley/Kaiden or whether getting with Kelly prevents that?
