I enjoy the game for what it is, a fresh take on Mass Effect. New galaxy, new enemies, new friends, new adventures. However, I do have my own issues with it, and I am inclined to agree with some of the video and sentiments others on the board here have brought up. In a nutshell this game is an overall significant step back from the production quality that has been expected from previous games from BioWare. Comparing this game within its own series the trilogy is miles ahead of this game in production value. Story has never been a tremendous strong suit for BioWare and typically many of them were predictable. However, prior games did have a certain degree of care and investment for the game that was being created and to the fans who would ultimately play this. This game was made by a group that has never made a full fledged game and it painfully shows. There are many issues outside of animation abominations that are just patently unacceptable for a triple A game release. Some points in this game honestly remind me of a few early access titles from Steam in terms of bugs/glitches/errors. Expecting people to just accept it is outright foolish because that only serves to set the precedent that this type of quality in production value is perfectly acceptable on release.
This is not to say the original trilogy of Mass Effect was bug free or never had issues of their own, I still run into quite a few on all three games. However, there is a significant difference between the occasional screw up in those games and the persistent ones that occur not just in gameplay, but also during the narrative, and practically throughout the majority of this game. These games are built on telling a relatively intriguing narrative and being able to sell that narrative through the emotional connection you develop through the characters you interact with. This is difficult to do with dead, blank faces, or things going wrong during a cutscene. Additionally if your supporting cast does not consistently build up overtime they might become forgotten or uninteresting. Overall the majority of team appear flat or they reveal too much right away and leave any future dialogue with them largely lacking. This game is rather substantial in size and a lack of dialogue with the characters you are expected to play anywhere between 40-70 hours with aside from the occasional party banter or one and two liners on the ship can make the game feel like a grind rather than a story to be told. For instance if you take any of the original Mass Effect games after each and every mission there were new sets of dialogue to discover for your crew members that would build up their personal story in addition to your relationship with them. In this game? We get brief sentences occasionally on their thoughts about what is going on and really nothing besides that. The game is good, but it feels like we have taken several steps back from what the series used to be like in a number of ways, and that is largely because of a change in writers and the team making the game overall. Hopefully they find their footing, but if not they may need to relinquish this series to someone else.

Yet another tuber who jumped on the animation / facial expression bandwagon. When this horse becomes a bloody pile of pulp he will hope on the next one. Bandwagon hoping is the new trend for the vast majority of youtubers these days. Desperately fishing for likes and subs. They know that hating on ME:A will get them views and likes so they do what they do best...follow trends. I'll be glad when all this ME:A hate is over too though. I'm loving the game personally. Bad press and the focus on inconsequential things deters many people from even trying this great game. Bioware made another masterpiece as far as I'm concerned. But being good, often makes you a bigger target for jealous people unfortunately. You're not doing yourself, or anyone else that enjoys the game, any favors by calling Andromeda a masterpiece... At least acknowledge where it fucks up so you get something better next time. That's not a bad thing, even if you love the game.

I have, it has some nice environments (would be nice if they were more interactive though like in BOTW), and multiplayer is solid. That's it. Build on those, I guess.

ME:A is a masterpiece in my opinion. It's huge, the story is nice, I like the characters, I like the multiplayer/gameplay, and I'm a sci-fi fan in general. Is it perfect? No. But have I enjoyed 85+ hours playing it so far? Hell yeah! Not many games can keep my attention that long, but Mass Effect Andromeda does. It's a masterpiece in my book. You're welcome to disagree, but frankly, I'm tired of people trying to convince others to see things their way. Let people try it themselves and make their own opinions. The bad press unfortunately often becomes self-fulfilling prophecy: people go into it thinking it's going to be bad, and nitpick every flaw, failing to see all the positives. It's like having a girlfriend/boyfriend who only has something to say when you screw up, seemingly disregarding all the ways you're an awesome partner.

Did you play on Xbox One, PS4 or PC? Maybe one glitches out more then the others? Me? I play on PC, like i do with all RPG's. PC tend to have more performance issues because no one set up is the same. Also some people treat their PC like a garbage can. Or put them on a wall. cdn.overclock.net/9/97/97284821_4.jpeg

The game feels awfully similar to a SW:TOR expansion. Which feels awfully similar to DAI. Should've ended the sentence with "awfully so".

It's like having a girlfriend/boyfriend who only has something to say when you screw up, seemingly disregarding all the ways you're an awesome partner. There's something about the game that makes it exceptionally addictive to me. I've gotten the hang of the combat after diving into multiplayer, I enjoy the characters, love the general atmosphere and I'm a huge fan of the ship, and of course the whole space travel thing makes it all the better. I find myself spending hours after work unwinding with this game. I'm not even halfway through and I'm very much looking forward to starting again. That being said, I have to take my objectivity pill so I can point out things that plainly would put off fans of the OT. MEA is by design a slow burn, and much lower key than its predecessors. This is why people call it boring. It focuses more on its atmosphere than faster paced drama the series is known for. Personally I love that sort of thing so it works out for me, not to mention that I don't even have to reconcile Ryder wandering around the Heleus cluster, because thaf's actually the role! I won't bother addressing technical issues. That's been beaten to death.
