Jade Empire is only number 1 since it was the first BW game I ever played and I'm shamefully biased.

For me it pretty much comes down to how much I have connected with the protagonist of the game.

I just put them in the order that I would see myself replaying the games. Have great fun with all of them.


ME:A / ME3 - I my emotional Sara Ryder, hope we will have great dlc for the game. Love my FemShep and like the 3:rd best up until I've finished the Citadel dlc. Hoping for much more with Sara Ryder and Scott Ryder
DA2 - No matter if it was diplomatic, snarky or angry I have had so much fun with my FemHawkes. Miss her all the time in DA:I
DA:I - Great game but I don't connect as much with my Inky as I have done with the rest. The banter-bugg doesn't help. I do not like watching on from above as my Inky talks to people. So happy to have scenes all the time in Mass Effect again. Only BioWare game I haven't played all the dlc for even if I bought it. Really good game but I feel a bit lonely while playing.
DA:O/ME1 - Great games but I find it difficult to replay. DA:O because no voiced protag and ME1 because I just don't like fighting in it.

SWTOR is great, but I find it difficult to place it on the same list. I treat it a little differently since I play it with my guild. It is rpg but also social with friends. When I play single player I just forget about the rest of the world and it is great. The 8 vanilla stories are wonderful, I was in the BETA for the last few weeks before it got released. Played it for so many hrs with my husband and friends in the guild. Wish the stories could have continued in the same format but oh well. At least we are getting Malavi back soon, just wish they would fix Torian's bugged conversations


Baldur's Gate - Played them but don't remember much more than Bo, Minsk and Imoen. Won't replay them because the memories of playing them together with my brother when we were small are some of the best childhood memories I have. Don't want to take that magic away by looking at them again with grown-up eyes.

I didn't put BG2 on there since I'm not yet done the game, but I imagine it'll be up there with the first game from where I'm at right now.

I'll also note that Jade Empire, KotoR and NWN(I'm including HotU which is better than the main campaign) are also as low as they are on the list because the combat in those games can go fuck themselves with a rusty pitchfork. As much as I enjoy the story, I still have only played through KotoR once because I cannot stand the horrible clunky combat of that era of BioWare. Jade Empire's combat just felt the least terrible.

All dlc included. I really just want fun stories with interesting characters that make me laugh. And fun combat. (Say what you will about DA2, but it let me throw around armies while making terrible jokes.) It feels unfair to rate any of the older ones since I find the controls too tedious to enjoy.

Wow, list was tough. Mass Effect 1 and 3 kept flipping back and forth (have been for years now...). Haven't played through BG1 yet. If I'd added Obsidian titles (on a Bioware list?) their NWN2: MotB would be #1, no contest. Writing was simply fantastic.

Based simply on how I enjoyed them at the time. Not quite sure where MEA will go at this stage but it will be in the top 4 I think.
