Placing Andromeda vs All Other BioWARE Games You Played

This is purely my own favorites. If asked which are the best overall games, the list would look different.

Jade empire is you're #1? That's a first if I've ever seen one, dead serious. It's a good game though.

I haven't played all of biowares games, but from what I've played I'd list em like this:

I've dabbled in KOTOR but it never really stuck so I can't say if I liked/disliked it.

It's been ages since I've played baldurs gate + jade empire too

If you played it, feel free. Can even break out separate stories. Whatever feels right to you 😀

Never really got into Jade Empire, even though it's supposed to be up there with their best games... also, the lead designer back then moved on and joined blizzard.

I think many people that are fans of BioWare today don't even realize that they actually are just as much fans of Obsidian (who did the Icewind Dale games) or Black Isle (who did a quite few games with BW, but also made KOTOR2, NWN2, and Planescape: Torment solo).

OP has a serious confusion about what games BioWare developed lol.

1. BG2/ToB : Nothing can replace this spot
2. ME1 : I Sovereign. Best villain monologue of all time!
3. DAI : Inquisition is the Boss. Some of the best characters since ME1. Dorian, Sera, Iron Bull, Vivienne. What's not to love?
4. MEA : Exploration! Finally. Sara Ryder says some of the craziest things. Head canon Sara is gunning to replace FemShep.
5. ME3 : Citadel DLC!
6. DA2 : Team Kirkwall! Avelyn! Merryl! Isabella! Varric! What's not to like? Oh... Sebastian... right...

7. SWTOR : Only until the Knights of the Whatever Empire Whatever.
8. KOTOR : I liked KOTOR2 better. Loving KOTOR2 makes me dislike KOTOR. Still Mission was so cute.
9. DAO : I really don't like Alistair or Morrigan or.. Dwarf Whats his Name Oghren.
10. ME2 : Human Reaper??? Human Reaper??? What????
11. BG : Heya It's me Imoen. Die Imoen Die Die.
12. NWN : Again. Obsidian did it better with NWN2. Do I like Obsidian better than Bioware? Not really.
13. JE : There was someone called Silver... Fox? And this other girl? And this fat man with dual axes. And a bald guy... I think.

Here's from best to last all BW games I've played so far. DA2 is only slightly ahead of MEA because I liked DA2's companions better and more importantly felt like I had more control over Hawke's personality. I don't think ME3 is a bad game at all either. I loved the ending and it had some great moments, but at the end of the day I disliked the autodialogue, thought some of the squadmates were super boring, didn't like how the sidequests were handled and running around with your weapon drawn all the time was annoying.

I really enjoy playing MEA and there's been some great moments, but so far I'm just disappointed by the lack of drama and how limited the CC was as well as most importantly how lacking the dialogue options were and how little control the player has over Ryder's personality and her relationships. Worst of any BW games, in what comes to dialogue options so far. Would have been so much better if that one thing was done better or heck even if they had instead used the old paragon/renegade system (anythings better than the current 'two shades of paragon' dialogue wheel). I like MEA, I really do, but it's just these few crucial key elements that are the cause of most of the disappointment for me.

KOTOR is last 'cause I only played it once and I liked KOTOR2 better, anyway.

If we were to include Obsidian games in the list (which a lot of those are), then Alpha Protocol would be within the top 3 and KotOR 2 would be just below KotOR 1.
