I did like the biotic explosions better in ME3. I can't make friends with every sound in the game sounds like we're in a cave, under water.

ME3MP introduced hazard maps and it was so influential that even the SP portion of Andromeda uses this idea. Planetary hazards existed all the way back in ME1.

But it's not an unfair standard because it's still the same game series made by the same company, so there's absolutely no excuse for it to be worse than me3mp. Disagree. That's like knocking every Tarantino flick besides Pulp Fiction LOL Besides Reservoir Dogs and masterpiece PF what QT flicks can you actually rate as a enjoyable movie? QT is overrated as fuck.

Totalbiscuit in his review said Andromeda was developed by Bioware Montreal, which is apparently a support studio? So this was their first game they made by themselves. Kind of explains all the differences and problems if the people that made the Trilogy weren't at the reigns of Andromeda.
But yeah this Multiplayer is horrid. The enemies put huge pressure on you even in Bronze and the only weapons that actually work effectively are Shotguns and the one shot Sniper Rifles.
A little advice, the N7 Piranha is an AMAZING Shotgun in Multiplayer.

The enemies pushing isn't an issue since they want you move around with the jet packs. They just have to work on weapons balance.

Principally, it is narrower and less inclusive than in the last game, but within that more limited band of what it offers it is better (at least when it mostly works rather than throws up bugs that slowly degrade user experience). There should be both negative and positive incentives for mobility, but too many waves and matches feel binary and devoid of complexity and contingency based on the spawn rate by faction. The poorly conceived design paradigm for powers, especially biotics, contributes to this. And there is way more they need to work on than weapon balance.

Ok power balance and fix stability issues as well. I like the lack of complexity I guess because I have always been more of a chaos in the moment type of player. It is one of the reasons I prefer Warframes combat so much. MEA and Warframe are very close in similarities. Planning and playing it safe kind of like in ME3 bore me after awhile.

The long cooldowns in this game are a real drag too. Takes the fun away. Asari adept, admittedly low level, but having to wait what seems like Ten seconds to let rip with throw is just frustrating

Gun reloading is also buggy. If you were already moving and you press the read button, it reloads fine and you can still move. But if you press the reload button and then start moving (walking not sprinting), it cancels the reload. There were also times when the reload animation finishes but the ammo count would still be at 0 and when you try to shoot, you re-enter the reload animation. This could be lag related.

Vanilla ME3MP got by on rabid fans, compulsive gamblers, and very, very vague potential (that was eventually realized, admittedly). It wasn't in a much better state than DAMP or MEAMP was/is at launch.
And it got fixed because it had a community of developers that were active on an official forum and actually cared whether or not the game was good.

At least we don't have the omni button though. I didn't mind it, to be honest. The ME3MP game I had earlier was way more fun than the ME:A MP games I had tonight (even being slightly unsteady with the controls).

How do you know the developers don't care about Andromeda? I don't. My statement was entirely about the ME3 experience. I hope they do. A lack of a forum to meaningfully engage, though, is not a great sign. It's hard to be meaningful in 140 characters or less.

It really feels like they didn't learn from the 5ish years of ME3MP. Yeah they only balanced for a year, but man...this doesn't feel like it was a priority at all.
The jump from bronze to silver felt so much larger than the jump from silver to gold in MEA. Powers being longer CD and having way less effect than ME3 just feels bad. Full damage spec'ed overload not striping shields fully on silver feels defeating.I don't care as much for the maps as I did the original set of maps in ME3. The jump jet is cool, but that doesn't make up for weapon balance being what it is. (multi round snipers being king, pistols being second, ARs and most shotguns being tire fire bad imo)
At least with ME3MP release we had biotic bomb squads to carry pub matches while we built manifests. Not sure a full tech or biotic team could do anything close to what a full biotic team could at ME3 launch.

A little advice, the N7 Piranha is an AMAZING Shotgun in Multiplayer. I use an Equalizer/Sweeper combo, with Equalizer as my primary. It's actually a pretty amazing pistol. Sweeper is less convenient since it only has burstfire and not continuous, but it's enough to bridge the time when my Equalizer is on overheat. Save

I shouldn't have to wait. They should have gotten it right the first time and balancing isn't the only problem discussed in my post. name 1 thing in human history that was done right the first time. Your mom?
