No. I hate Peepee. I'm pretty damn indifferent to Scott. I don't play male characters in BW games. So my Peepee romance would be f/f. So... you're going to play a 100+ hour game to romance someone you don't like just to run her through the dirt? Yup. I always do a WORST playthrough. Since Peepee is the worst, she would be the romance for that playthough. However, this game is not 100+ hours long if you just do the main quests. Plus, on a worst playthough I'd likely not do the majority of LM. |

That is... I.. don't really know what to say to that. It's actually rather entertaining if you really dislike the character. Andromeda is not that great for it, but in SWTOR, I have played a Smuggler who wooed and married a Space Princess Risha only to be able to dump her for Akaavi and hear her outraged reaction. It was one of those romances male players love, were the girl is uppity, and always gets the last word in, then turns out she really loves your guy who took it on the nose all along as long as he is understanding and patient and picks all those revoltingly nice options... so, yeah. Bonus points were that I also destroyed her arrange marriage to a perfect guy who was awesome AND helped her politically BIG time. So, in the end, Risha was left in the dirt with nothing. Same, but less fun was Kalyo in again, SWTOR. She was an edgier Jack, so she openly brought a man to the ship, and sold the PC, and used him to solve her problems, lied through her teeth, etc. Then, she suddenly melted, and, again, the kind, understanding male got the dubious honour of wining her real love. Only, well, you could dump her for another girl too, after marrying her, with the outraged reaction. it maybe low brow, but it is oddly satisfying for having to stand some LI written for masochistic male players who love those kind of female characters. |

In general the relations with your squadmates is pretty bad, and romancing is even worse. DA:I was far superior.. in that game characters could actually get pissed and leave, and every action impacted their relationship with you and their responses. You could also 'spend a little time with' your romances (at least Cas and Jose, and I think Sera) after the initial hookup.
I was trying to get with Suvi ( personally, I love the accent ), but somehow "fell into" a relationship with Reyes. His writing is good, and I think after so many crappy dialogues in the game, I just kept choosing the romance since it added personality to my female Ryder and the conversation was more fun that way. Once I got in to deep, I guess I just went for it. Although, a message saying this was passing a point where I would not be able to romance anyone else would have helped a bit.

They neglected their female players once again. I looked over all of the romances in YouTube and boy is there a HUGE difference between male Ryder and female Ryder's romances. It's VERY offensive. Male Ryder gets hard core porn naked sex scenes and he get jealousy comments from his Li's if he romances several at a time, while female Ryder gets her sex scenes (except for hideous alien Jaal ofc) faded to black and only lasted two sec and if she tries to romance several at once, they automatically goes to friendship mode, no comments or anything about each other. It really pisses me off how much Bioware neglects their female fan base like this. I know this also counts for the gay fan base though, so them too. I just hope they're smart enough to do something about it in a future dlc but I have my doubts. uhn...welcome to how we felt in DAI... |

In DAI, I romanced Blackwall then kept him a slave to the Inquisition. I also romanced IB and killed his Chargers, then killed him in Trespasser. Yay! It's a different kind of fun, I suppose. |

I'd like opportunities at different points to take them on dates, a picnic on your favorite world or something like that. Have more on on one time. I know it adds a lot in scripting and voice acting but I would like to see it even with the friendships. I also know that by game 3 I am going to love them all just like in OT.

I haven't even romanced Jaal yet, but already I can tell he feels like one of the most plot important characters, and that maybe was intended as main love interest for female Ryder. I definitely agree that he's her designated main romance this game. Not only is it well-written, it's also Jaal as a character. Jaal, in his role as the only squadmate angara, is so important to the story that if Pathfinder wasn't the protagonist and you were looking for another focal point in the cast to wring the greatest dramatic tension out of, it'd probably have to be him. All the twists of the game involve the angara (obviously, since the Milky Way species just kind of kicked the door down to an ongoing plot happening in the Andromeda galaxy), he knows the system and most planets better than anyone, his is the only species that will be completely wiped out if you can't stop the kett. It's not that Jaal himself is terribly special, but as your only on-board angara, he's basically our unofficial ambassador and conduit to his species. It's almost as if it would have made sense to make such a plot-crucial character available for both genders.Well...ME1-3=Liara MEA=Jaal? And Sara is totally cannon. People mostly play as the girls anyway |

After playing a new game and not flirting at all with Jaal, but growing our friendship and having him confess he wants more, I can't really ever like another romance. His can go so many ways and has so much RP involved.
And yes, straight women get Jaal's sex scene and that is very adult!

I've always preferred fade to black personally (if only for awkwardness factor because I remember that awkward gyrating they did in Origins), but I did like what we saw in Jaal's romance. The attention to detail put in Cora and Peebee's is... well, it's not surprising, but it does hurt. Straight fanboys always get the most attention. Maybe us girls or gay guys want some soft core porn as well, Bioware. |

And it certainly isn't done the way it looks in Peebee/Sara's scene. They got lazy and just replaced the model of Scott with Sara. |
