This was the reaction I had to this thread. I spent a lot of time in the Nomad and travelling between systems doing clean up quests..and I don't remember any songs playing; nothing stuck in my head at all. There may have been music but it made no impression at all.

Another day, another thread about how old music is better. Doesn't matter what game you're talking about. The music was awesome. I'm really surprised by the number of people who answered "There was music?" and wondering if most of them aren't being disingenuous. No, answering for myself, I'm not being disingenuous. I logged 122 hours on this game before stopping at Kadara because I couldn't take it anymore. Put a gun to my head and I couldn't hum a single bar of music from this game. By way of contrast, i can sing, hum, or whistle any number of John Williams themes from various movies I saw in the early 1980's. You like the music? Fine. Make it your ring tone. But just because you love it doesn't mean that people that don't like it or didn't even notice it are lying.

I've said it many times, MEA's music is pretty good but the audio in the game is really messed up. Enemies don't have audio cues or tells that say husks or Eclipse Vanguards and phantoms had. You just get synched out of the blue, no warning signs or modes they swap. They could really use an addition and emphasis. As far as the soundtrack, it really needs to be turned up a lot of notches. It's so unnoticeable and it's unfortunate that the composers don't get that appreciation. Also there are some moments where the music doesn't quite fit such as the exaltation scene where terrible things are happening and yet we get a track that sounds hopeful and uplifting. Very odd. The music in multiplayer's really cool but again, needs more emphasis. It kind of fades in and out and you don't notice at lower volumes. There's so much that can be improved with tweaks among other things. MEA lays a good foundation but that foundation needs to be strengthened and built upon.

I made a post here that I agree. But now that I rebalanced the audio output and can actually hear the music I think that it's quite nice. No memorable tracks like the trilogy but still creating a nice atmosphere especially on Voeld for example.

I honestly thought I had a bug, never heard much music. Just galaxy map. I literally don't remember any other tracks. Why they didn't get the composer from DAI, or hell, Jesper Kyd. Please!

I'm hearing the music while playing. Different themes, exploring Voeld is awesome. Combat as well. Specifically Kadara is great. Then of course Neutron Purge, Jaardan, First contact etc. When the next game comes around you will all be sitting here praising MEA OST and claiming how the new games OST is forgettable. Ha!

This is me. I barely heard any music whatsoever. I have some recorded videos and when I replay them I can hear some music sometimes, but mostly there wasn't much of anything.

I still listen to the ME3 OST while working on things that require some concentration. I love "I'm Proud of You" especially, and especially bc of the moment in the game it represents. But Clint I think did a stellar job with emotional range for an action-RPG space opera. The soundtrack may have been better than the game for me.... I don't listen to the other MET OSTs, but I did like them in their games and the drama they added. I miss music in MEA.

Sadly, I don't see that happening... I still listen to ME2 & 3 soundtracks from time to time, although I haven't touched the games themselves for years now. The feels are still real heh. DA:I had an excellent soundtrack too and made slogging through combat an actually enjoyable experience.

It's the ambient music on the planets that was disappointing. There's some tonal stuff and you think it might be about to get interesting and then it just tails off. Say what you want about NMS but the music was fantastic...

MEA has one of the most consistently good soundtracks of all the mass effect games. It is much better than the original mass effect. Maybe the game wasn't edited properly to use the soundtrack to its fullest potential but that is not the fault of the composers.

Apart from the main meny music of ME:A, I can't remember anything else despite 2 play throughs. It is not on par with the (imo) fantastic music of the MET, just "ok". For the next game I wouldn't mind if Jeremy Soule and Daft Punk cooperate to make the soundtrack

I just replayed MET and the thing that struck me the most is how much music there is.... for EVERYTHING. I mean I noticed music before and liked it overall, but coming back from MEA it's such a shock to realized how MEA seemed like it had no soundtrack or nothing memorable when it did.

The music in MEA is a joke. Music in film/games/etc. is always a huge deal to me (very musically-inclined), and the music in Mass Effect games was always exemplary. Maybe its an unfair standard, but to go from absolutely fantastic material like "Suicide Mission" or "An End, Once and For All" to this is beyond disappointment.

Gave me so much good memories. It really gave so much weight and gravity to the scenes presented whenever its played. Probably the reason why I forgave ME3 easily for the ending. It is one of my most memorable themes ever along with DAO camp/battle of denerim, and TW3's Skellige and A Night to Remember.
MEA has music just to have some. I don't particularly remember any of them.

Definitely one of the best pieces of music from the MET; the tinkle of life / hope with the crushing presence and force of the Reapers threatening to eclipse it and the ending segment that signified that that hope / life will persevere and triumph.

I was really hoping they would go in the direction of Mass Effect 1. I can still remember almost every track from that game because it was so unique. ME2's soundtrack was different but also amazing.
Wasn't a fan of ME3's soundtrack and never will be, because in my opinion it sounded like a generic Hollywood Action movie. Nothing special at all.
So I was super disappointed when I heard Andromeda's Soundtrack. To me it's even more forgettable than ME3's. Meh. (And of course it doesn't help that the music volume is so low ingame)

Have to go into the into the files and turn it up to 200% or something like that. Hopefully it'll get fixed. Wow there is many small issues with this game from a technical standpoint.

I like the opening track though, and exaltation is kind of bad ass. There are a few gems, but you don't hear it enough in game which is unfortunate.

I love how the exploration theme is so gawddaym spacey. And combat of course, very sci-fiey. There is both Vangelis and Wagner in there. Great.

The music is reflective of the overall quality and effort put into this game. Which was Average. Everything about this game is average. The combat is just about the only thing I can call good. It's painfully obvious how little faith or care EA/Bioware has in the Mass Effect franchise at this point. They told the story they wanted to tell with the trilogy, and now they're just milking it for whatever it's worth.
