Hmm...Fate of Atlantis ep 1 was dropped in April, ep 2 in June. I'm guessing the last will be August. After which remains to be seen whether the devs would drop a few more Lost Tales before the next AC title or tie off with the last ep. saandrig , you're watching too many dramas. If it's the Viking era, it depends on what they're going to focus on for main story. The continued saga of the early ancestors of the Assassins and Templars? Or something like ACOD with family for the main story with history and legends as the side props? Players could end up invading England with the mythical Ragnar Lodbrok. The Age of Vikings is between 790s to 1066 (Norman conquest of England). Their territories in Greenland, Iceland and Vinland. They explored far and wide so I wonder if the map is going to cover bits of England and Europe. One thing is definite though; players will get a longboat.

Alright, I am through with Liberation. A few final thoughts: - The story (including the "secret" ending is really nothing to write home about. It's rather inconsequential. I mean, what is the point of her seeing what was "recorded" on that disc about Eve? Given that everyone makes such a fuss about the dam thing, it seem pretty lame. Definitely not worth killing as many people as I have about it. - Either I am missing something or the economy in this game is super weird. The trading is pretty horrible and can only be accessed from one location in the world, which would make it extremely tedious. But without it, your only source for credits are the chests, which I all openend and I didn't nearly have enough money to buy the top tier equipment, let alone those pocket watches. If you want those, as far as I can tell, you'd have to do hours of just trading to get that kinda money. Definitely not wasting time on those achievements. - I did like Aveline, she's a cool character, whom I'd have liked to see more of (and within a better story). IMO, she'd have been a better protagonist for AC3 than Connor was.
Overall, I liked the fresh setting, the main character and the persona gameplay (though I was a little underwhelmed that we never really get to choose how to approach missions). I'll give it a solid 7 of 10 tricornes.
Now I moved on to Black Flag. IMO, this might as well not have been an AC game. It's just a dam good pirate game. And by dam good, I really mean dam good. The way the mechanics all come together is really awesome, from the ship battles, to the boarding and plundering, to upgrading your ship with the resources you got from that, to exploring the sea and finding little islands with treasures, to attacking forts, going harpooning or diving and so on and so on. There is a lot in this game and it all complements the pirate scenario perfectly. So do the characters. I won't pretend that I like Edward Kennway but he fits the bill for a pirate perfectly. I am glad they didn't over-romantice tje pirates. Let's face it, if you keep killing people to take their stuff, it doesn't make much sense to be Mr. Nice Guy otherwise. The Caribbean setting with it's paradise like little islands, the fisher towns, foggy jungles and gorgeous waterfalls and landscapes also makes it into a nice summer game. So all in all, I am having a lot of fun with Black Flag again. It may not be a real AC game but it's a heck of a pirate game maties.

It wass great taking a break from the story and just sailing around sinking ships and exploring and some of the scenery was pretty good for the time it was made. I am not sure I'd say it isn't a real AC game, there's quite a bit of lore in it and the war against the Templars and the insight onto the history of the Assassins is pretty front and centre. Also it was the last of the old games to really feature the Isu story line. Maybe you'll warm to Edward, he's a bit of an arrogant tosser at the beginning but he learns some tough life lessons during the game and the ending is good.

IGN: Assassin's Creed Odyssey Community Tool Will Allegedly Be Announced at E3 ca.ign.com/articles/2019/06/07/assassins-creed-odyssey-community-tool-will-allegedly-be-announced-at-e3?.itLet’s be honest, there’s plenty crammed into the over one hundred hours of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and all its DLC. But after a tweet from fan page @accesstheanimus and some reporting from PCGamesN, it looks like we might be getting some long rumoured community creation tools at E3 that could allow the addition of user-made story content to the game.E3 is approaching and we can finally mention that we were kindly invited to test an upcoming community oriented tool for #AssassinsCreed Odyssey! We can’t say much more for now, but we suggest you checking the #UbiE3 Pre-Show for more details! pic.twitter.com/Z7FjoPoqIy — AccessTheAnimus (@accesstheanimus) June 5, 2019 Ubisoft have long been talking about wanting to put players more in control of their experience, so some sort of community creation tool would definitely line up with that sentiment.

I bet it will be players able to make their own version of the quests you find on mercenary boards and stuff like that. Nothing too big and uses existing resources, but allowing more customization in the missions to keep it exciting.

ASSASSIN’S CREED ODYSSEY STORY CREATOR MODE LETS PLAYERS DESIGN NEW ADVENTURES; DISCOVERY TOUR COMING THIS FALL – E3 2019news.ubisoft.com/en-us/article/351230/assassins-creed-odyssey-story-creator-mode-lets-players-design-new-adventures-discovery-tour-coming-this-fall-e3-2019by Mikel Reparaz / October 7, 1440 / Assassin's Creed Odyssey gives players the chance to forge their own destinies across Ancient Greece – and now, Ubisoft has announced Story Creator Mode, enabling players to create entirely new quests and share them with other players. Ubisoft also revealed that Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece is coming early this fall, letting players explore its vast open world like a museum, complete with guided exhibits. Available now as an open beta for players who own Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Story Creator Mode is a web-based tool that lets players design and share their own narrative-driven quests. Players can choose from six different quest objectives – including assassination, rescue, or visiting a specific place – and create their own branching dialogue and paths, while casting the game's characters in new roles. Creators can also give players the option to lie their way through an encounter, or end dialogue by attacking NPCs, if their story calls for it. Created quests can be shared and played on any platform, even if the creator and player are using different systems. Players who prefer to dive deeper into what's already been created can check out Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece early this fall, when it will be available as a free update for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Letting players explore the game's open-world rendition of Greece without conflict or gameplay constraints, Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece features 300 stations where players can take guided tours to learn more about Ancient Greek philosophy, war, daily life, mythology, and architecture. Additionally, the new mode will build on Assassin's Creed Odyssey's dialogue system with interactive quizzes at the end of each tour. The "holy shit" was me reacting that the content is playable on console. This is like DA Keep in that I don't need a powerful rig to get it to work.

So no AC at the UBI PK at E3? Guess that means we won't see a new AC this year but that is actually a good thing in my book. A year of pause did wonders for the series last time. In fact, I'd be more than happy with a bi- to trianual release, rather than the one-year cycle they kept going at for most of the series. The Story Creator thing really look fantastic. The potential is awesome. Good on you for providing Mod support Ubi. Only thing that seems to be missing is the opportunity to VO (I know it would be bad most of the time but still, I'd like to see ... uh hear it). It would be cool if eventually, we'd be able to provide voice packs, that people can provide separately and that can than be included into the quests by the user (so UBI wouldn't have to host the data and downloads themselves). EDIT: I just tried it out very briefly and it's a fantastic system as far as I can tell. Super easy to use, all working in the browser, yet pretty powerful in what is possible. Kudos Ubi, nicely done!
Also excited about the Tour mode!! I am super happy we get one again for ancient Greece. Loved the one in Egypt. I'm pumped!
In other news, I finished Black Flag (yes, I totally binged through that game ... and it was awesome. dazk you are right, Edward does have some pretty significant character development but in the end, I still think he is an egoistic prick for too much of the game for me to really warm up to him. But that's ok. He was a good pirate protagonist for that very reason after all. And also, finally an AC where it really makes sense to kill everyone who stands in your way. Also played through Freedom Cry (never played the BF DLCs before). Oh boy, that was very bleak after the rather fun and careless Black Flag. The scene on the slave ship towards the end was especially horrifying. It really makes you wonder how humans can do these kinds of things to one another. I mean, it's not that I never heard about the practices of slavery in that time frame before or anything but seeing it illustrated in that fashion does make you shiver all over again. Anyway, mechanically it wasn't exactly flawless but all in all a pretty good DLC with a very respectable amount of content. Now I just have the Aveline DLC left and then I am done with this game and can move on to Rogue. I am looking forward to see Aveline again, this time in a "real" game (not some mobile port ).

Ubi did mention a while back there wasn't going to be an AC this year, and made some noise about getting out the yearly cycle. I think most are expecting the next one out late next year, probably a next-gen (or cross-gen) title.

Still, would have been nice to get a teaser at least, maybe confirm (or deny) the Ragnarok rumors for good. It's not like they were overflowing with new stuff in their show.
Oh, btw, anyone going to the symphony tour? Personally, I didn't care too much for their interpretation of the OSTs with those super high strings in the beginning but at the end, when they went for the main theme, it was awesome after all and they didn't have the full group there anyway. I do think the AC series OST is one of the best in video games overall (AC2,3 and Black Flag are particularly awesome). Unfortunately, they are not coming to NYC. If they had a caoncert here, I might have gone.

I looked at the creator today but I had no idea how anything works so I'll have to watch their video and read the manual probably. Let me know if any of you have any luck with it! I'm super excited for the Discovery tour. I LOVED the one in Origins. I wanted to see the symphony if it were going to be close. But not coming to Pittsburgh so I can't be bothered.
