I managed to play for a bit. Looks like the story in Brotherhood slowed down for a bit after the heist in Castel di Angelo. So, I set a couple of Borgia towers’ on fire, ran through a Romulus’ layer anod met with Leonardo again. Then I ran around an aqueduct for a while thinking to get a viewpoint on a way to a mission. Alas, it was not to be, since apparently a Borgia tower nearby has to go down, and it is locked away by the story wall.
Other than that, since apparently being a rome’s Real estate magnate and running a brothel is not enough, Ezio also has to run the assassin’s guild worldwide. Curiously, a mission, say, in Moscow, in 1500’s takes about 8 minutes all told. The hand of Rome has a long reach indeed.
As I said, the story is boring. Help the whores, free the slaves - the sidequests fodder in any other game....

I just had to stop playing Rogue for a bit I was so pissed off doing another one of these save your ally missions but as part of a main mission. So I have to run 100's of metres to get there and by that time half the British troops are dead. Go to kill the captain and Shay gets the captain off balance and starts doing the kill attack but no then he just without me telling him to breaks off and attacks some random guy behind him. Back to the captain who it seems has an impossible defence to break but I finally kill him and have like two troops left. Run to the flag pole to cut it down and hit "E" and it says you must be anonymous to do this...... WTF I am in a group battle FFS..... although I am not in combat. So of course the mission fails as the last valiant British troops perish. So I have to do it again (and I really hate that) and this time no dramas, Capt gets stabbed in the back and of course the pole lets me interact with it!!!! Then have to protect Monro and not take any damage, well that didn't work I am right where the game puts me to start and just have time to eagle view and see where the enemies are, aim my sleep dart and then from above me where I can't see a Stalker jumps me and scares the living daylights out of me. Instant 80% damage, I just hate it when games do that type of shit. Of course now I know that as soon as the mission starts I need to run to different cover but alas I doubt I'll play the mission again. And I really just want a better outfit. Seems silly to dress as an assassin when I am a Templar and I am now almost 60% complete and the few Templar outfits are still quest locked Really thought after saving Monro and him telling me I am the only person he trusts with that damn book I'd get a Templar outfit. Anyway back to it now I have vented

Hey Element Zero I did the mission where you have to kill Kego whatever his name is (the native American assassin) and it says kill him with a Puckle Gun, was I supposed to go back to the ship or is there one lying around? I tried to fight him with sword and dagger but he has an unbreakable defence so I just shot him Got my new outfit - Yay And I just did the very last upgrade on The Morrigan and took down a couple of Man Of War without too much trouble

dazk , you’ll never stop more than two of them at once. Some get up close, others shoot from range. You have to get most of them before they get too close. Just had to do another of these to protect Ben Franklin, I really don't enjoy those missions got the last guy with 1 second to go

There are pickle guns mounted along the fort’s walls. He’s a pain to hit with them, always in motion. I enjoyed the ceremony. It was like, “Finally. Let’s make this happen!” Plus, I really like the Colonial Rite. As much as I liked Connor, I hated killing most of those dudes. There are so many intentionally brainless moments on both sides, though, that nothing else could have happened. Just offering a scrap of info at any point might’ve changed Connor’s trajectory. It felt like everyone lost in AC3.

They made sense, given our foe; but they probably overdid it. They’d be more fun with Unity’s wonderful mechanics. The tail, follow, eavesdrop, etc... has been mercifully pruned from the series.

A friend bought me Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China so I guess I'll be giving that a try. I did the first level and it was pretty fun. It's a side scroller, but more than I expected. I'm still putzing around in Origins sometimes too. I've started AC2 on Xbox One. So, I've been pretty busy irl and bouncing between these games. dazk is really making me miss Rogue. Probably get back to that in Jan or Feb! Keep having fun!

I’ve been giving the upcoming AC Origins updates some thought. I am curious to see how well enemy-scaling works before level-40. I have some doubts.
The main issue is that, prior to level 40, your weapons’ levels often lag behind your player-level. I generally allow my primary melee and shield to fall as many as 5 levels behind before paying for an upgrade. For my bows, I rely on finds and awards to keep pace. Naturally, as your wealth (very slowly) grows, this system becomes easier. By Level 40, I’m swimming in high-level legendary items. That’s the late-game, though. In the early to mid-late game, attacking a foe three to four levels higher than your weapon’s level results in minuscule damage by design.
I’m not really sure I see myself getting much use out of enemy-scaling prior to level 40 and/or without a NG+ feature. The new nightmare difficulty and enemy-scaling would combine beautifully with NG+. Without new content, I’m struggling to return to this game. An expansion is due in January, but then? I think NG+ is a must to keep people returning. There are many items unavailable until late-game, leaving scant time to enjoy them. NG+ would fix this issue. The other new features already announced would give NG+ some needed balance.

Probably get back to that in Jan or Feb! Keep having fun! I’m starting to think that the Rogue remaster might actually happen. That would be cool. If it’s good, they might be able to sell me the Ezio Trilogy remaster. Edit: Not sure if everyone has seen this. Most of it was shared previously, but I’m not sure whether in this detail. assassinscreed.ubisoft.com/game/en-gb/news/154-315306-16/this-month-in-assassins-creed-origins-decemberThe bonus mission is going to be some Final Fantasy BS, I’ll bet. Apparently, there is some cross-promotion going on between them. I see a chocobo ass, and there are FF glyphs on a ruin in the east. I was hoping for better content, but it’s free. I can’t complain for what I didn’t pay. I reiterate, NG+ is needed. All of the epic gear, including the Trials of the Gods stuff, just sits in my inventory in a presently inactive save file. I quit loading up to do Reda’s daily jobs after a few days. It just isn’t worth the bother. We need meat. Even the upcoming DLC won’t be a seemless expansion like HZD’s The Frozen Wilds. It’s set “years later”, so I’m expecting something like a Freedom Cry, excepting that we retain Bayek as the protagonist.

It just feels a bit more scripted and not as free roam as AC3 and BF in terms of the hunting stuff in particular and the mission mechanics are a bit trying for me in that I hate timed missions I am enjoying the scenery and the change in the nautical environment and I am loving being back at the helm Yeah life can be over the top at times, I have two teenage kids playing sport, doing martial arts and of course high school so it gets overwhelming at times but the games keep it real for me

I bought it from Steam, so I am hoping I might be able to refund it. It's not really much of a cost, but if I could, I would absolutely refund it, get BF for free, then use refund for AC3 once it goes on X-mas sale, since Ubi already had it as a free DL. Cheapskates-R-Us, I know.

Its been fun but it has been a bit of a grind as well, there are a lot of areas to clear that don't really have any part in the game except for collectibles to be located there. Its funny I was complaining that I hadn't got the outfit and next time I logged in within 15 minutes I had it - DOH!!!!

Good luck And, yep, Steam was good, and refunded. Now Ubi better come through, and that way I might end up with a full sequence between AC1 to BF after x-mas sales if AC3 gets discounted. That’s if Rogue comes after BF. Now, I just need time to play!

That’s if Rogue comes after BF. Now, I just need time to play! AC3 Deluxe Edition is only $16-95 AUD on Uplay for 1 day and 9 more hrs and its normally $49-95 if you have Uplay. I'd have actually played AC Rogue before AC in all honesty, AC3 takes place after the events of AC Rogue.

Given the choice, I’d experience them in the order released. Putting Rogue before AC3 would ruin some major character introductions.
