After completing ACO. Great atmosphere. Decent sidequests. Very weak main storytelling and therefore almost pointless. All the "art" went into feeding the addicting of players thru microtransactions. It is still possible to play the game without touching microtransactions but for how long? Fleecing gamers have become the bread and butter of game makers and (big) publishers and that is worrisome. For a full priced game you get poorly written main storyline + poorly written dialogs for main NPC's. Not to mention that publishers like EA and Ubisoft are not shy in stating linear storylines are passé!! I wonder why!? I am struggling to stay motivated playing ACO. I am just over 50% and I feel like nothing has really happened, I am level 32 and just went back to do the Hyena's mission which I think is the first time the game actually grabbed my attention otherwise its just been clearing question marks of wash and repeat missions or helping some fool with some pathetic mission. My sons tired can the mighty Medjay move three sheathes of wheat for him The game is beautiful but the quests are for the most part boring, stupid or just a waste of time. Taking down forts etc in the earlier games was a challenge strategically if doing them by stealth and especially if you wanted to achieve the sub-objectives like remaining undetected or not using your weapons. Basically in ACO you go to the guard posts or hideouts, Senu tells you where everyone is and you stealth around putting arrows in everyone or lately I just ride in on horseback where I can and melee them, its much faster and it auto-loots

There really is a whole lot of nothing in the white and black deserts. To be expected I suppose. They still did a great job with the atmosphere though, and the hallucinations were a fantastic idea. Yeah, they're fairly empty. There's a hermit location, a few ruins and a lot of stone, sand and wind. They are beautiful. I know many might've preferred busier regions, but I'm glad they went for relative accuracy. Those relatively empty areas are real regions that divide and border the busier regions. I'm no expert on that area (especially in those years) but I knew a little bit more than I expected before playing. I knew Siwa was an old Libyan site, though I'm not sure how. Decades of reading everything, I guess... dazk , better it be an equipment issue than bugs. I wonder if you're running with subpar equipment in general? It could explain the difficulties you've had. Until you hit 40 and obtain your ideal items, it's a bit of a juggling game, using whatever is best of the on-hand. Of course, Upgrading is possible, but it depletes your cash rapidly. It's insanely expensive, like renting to own, or something. You end up paying, over time, 500% of what you should pay for a level 40 item. (Random, illustrative number.) I've been feeling pretty crummy for a while, so I've been around the BSN less. I'm still enjoying my third ACO PT. After nearly an entire game of finding no legendaries via scrolls and none via Reda, I started receiving Helix Store items from Reda. It's a shame, really, since this won't be a save I keep. I won't be keeping it because I have to delete 1 of 3, and this one is bugged in regard to Trials of the Gods. Despite trying every imaginable trick, work around, etc... the fourth weapon (Scales of Judgment bow) won't drop. Since it won't, neither will the Anubis outfit. We already know that a gold Anubis set is coming, and I don't want this impacting that collection. It's a shame, really, since I have about 70K drachmae unspent as I near the final stretch. I managed my gear and inventory perfectly, only to be undone by a bug. I'd actually intended to try to build a "master save" for potential NG+. Oh well. It seems I find a new loadout or style every time I replay a game featuring decent combat. I'm now really enjoying the Conductor of Souls sword paired with Dual Swords (+health on hit). Conductor is the best combo of looks and effects in the game, in my opinion. I like the health on a kill, but the gold version of Conductor (Sunslayer) has even crazier crit/combo boosts. It's not hard to build up an attack sequence that's dealing over 300% damage. The dual swords allow me to heal up quickly, as needed, simply by attacking. Its Overpower is also solid. I've also made an effort to use all four types of bow. They're each excellent, but I'd typically neglected the hunter bows. They are great generalists, but generally outclassed in specific situations. Still, without Jackal's Gaze (screw you, Ubi), I've been mixing it up. I only have one warrior bow worthy of being equipped. I have three really good hunter and light bows, and can really choose whatever fits most ideally. Smoke and Mirrors remains my favorite predator bow, though Amenhotep's Bow has an even higher "stealth damage" modifier. It could be situationally preferable. I love the Tomb Protector shield. I wish I could have it in every PT. (Same for all of the Anubis gear, really.) It sucks that it's tied to a periodic event. The thing looks badass and has nearly ideal effects. (I'm not a big fan of 10% chance of sleep, but the rest is perfect.) If they ever implement NG+, I'm likely to barely use any other shield. Ill be wrapping this PT up very soon, with only the Kyrenaika contrntbkeft to go. Then, I'll start stalking the web for the DLC release date and info. I most want to hear that they figured out NG+, but I expect that could take a while.

Hey Element Zero yeah it was just coincidence that I came across that one Phylake at that time and he was 5 levels above me when I did. It was the only time I hadn't upgraded my gear for a while as I'd been saving my money to do an upgrade when I got to level 30 because the increases in damage etc. hadn't been enough to warrant the spend. From what I can tell the "quality level" on the weapons must help determine damage against higher and lower enemies because the amount of damage didn't change much when I upgraded but the gear quality level jumped 10+ levels. Just so you know I am not struggling with combat I just don't like it. In 98% of combat I have no trouble, there are just occasions like with the Phylake where I didn't realise the significance of that specific 5 level of difference as I had regularly been defeating enemies 3 to 5 levels above. The only guy that gave me any real grief so far was the same level of me in the Trials of Anubis quest, he had a huge shield and I couldn't get behind him as he was too fast. I think however this was scripted because as soon as he had me down to one third health, I could suddenly get behind him and killed him with one hit. Hope things are good with you and that you had a great Christmas if that means anything to you.

It's the weapon's level that is the key in determining whether the enemy can be effectively fought. The ratings are there to help one pick between similar weapons, I guess. Ratings seem pointless, to me. The weapon with the highest rating isn't always the best for a task. The special properties are weighted in compiling the rating. I mostly agree with the ratings, but I don't see much point. I'll never use a 95 sword over a 93 if the 93 has properties I find more advantageous.

Yeah the shield dudes don't normally cause me an issue but this guy seemed to be unbreakable till my health fell to one third. I had hit him with 3 OP strikes and a couple of shield charges before then and still couldn't crack his defence. I have rarely changed weapons, I used the Legendary sword "Fang" (poison) which I bought off Uplay at the start until I found my current sword "The Golden Wolf?" (Health on Kill) which is now upgraded to level 33. I got a legendary spear but it was cursed, was so sad as I loved the spear in Unity and have yet to get another legendary one. Reda was my best source for Legendary stuff but that has dried up too. Beat a phylake yesterday who gave me a legendary shield that I used for a bit but went back to my "Snakes on A Shield" shield and upgraded it as it looks better . I have also been using the same legendary bows that I have used since probably level 10 (I am now 32 I think)(Predator and Hunter) but they both have fire as a stat and it can actually be annoying, I really want one that does poison damage. What's the best outfit I the game that doesn't involve the trials? I am wearing one I bought "Persian Commander" as it is the only one that I think looks OK but I am getting sick of it and don't really like the ones the merchants sell?

I like the "Protector" outfit best by far. It's the outfit worn by Hepzefa and by Bayek in flashbacks. It has no hood, which makes sense. It can be nabbed for 250 drachmae from the vendor in central Alexandria. She's right next door to a blacksmith. They're in a little square full of shops. One of the coolest things about this outfit was watching the crafted equipment upgrades alter Bayek's look. A bug introduced in patch 1.10 has messed this up a bit. Now, the great existing textures are replaced by non-final textures from The Hidden Ones expansion. The new textures aren't nearly as nice, and have provoked much complaining online. I hope the wailing moves Ubi to improve them before finalizing their appearance. They really aren't good. There is also a very popular outfit gained via a quest line through which you've already been working. It is a cool outfit. The "Egyptian Hedj" and "Egyptian Wadi" outfits don't look bad. Those are nice to have for variety. I also like some of the Maasai outfits, for a change of pace. I'm going to link a page that features a decent, but incomplete list of the outfits. There are minor spoilers concerning the acquisition of some outfits. It's a nearly useless article. Why would one need a guide for buying or earning outfits? The list with pictures just barely saves it. www.gamersheroes.com/game-guides/assassins-creed-origins-outfit-unlock-guide/The wiki has a slightly different list and assortment of pics. assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Assassin%27s_Creed:_Origins_outfits

I like the look of the Protector outfit, I don't remember seeing it in Alexandria, will take a trip back. I don't mind the Roman Centurion ones but I'd feel out of place wearing those in the game. All the others are a bit "whatever" and I already have the Desert Cobra outfit I bought it with Uplay Credits. Wore that again for a while but I prefer my Persian Commander and Persian Prince outfits. I am up to where I have to fight in Krokolopidopilis or whatever its called, damn game had to do the mission with the little girl Shayda in it yesterday. Knew it was setting me up but I so hoped I'd be able to save her :noo: :sob:

So I have been back playing ACO the last few days and am now half way through the game. Killed a Phylake yesterday who was 2 levels below me which was a nice change and lots of fun hearing him screaming whilst I shot fire arrows into him. Then finished him off in 3 or 4 hits from the Golden Wolf. Aaaahhh happy days. So I am at the point of investigating the Crocodile in Krokodilopolis, met an old friend from Siwa and am hoping I get to fight with her and not against her in the arena. Met Hotephres and then his wife and daughter Shayda which was really nice and fun and then it wasn't, I am hoping I'll find out later why the end of this was necessary, if it was thrown in as just a dramatic device I'll be very sad. "Requiescat in pace"

I finished my third ACO PT yesterday. I decided to hold onto the save, despite the TotG glitch, because Bayek's sitting on 80K drachmae. That will be useful, one way or the other. Save slot #1 is the one with nearly everything unlocked, and 20K drachmae in reserve. Musing in a vague, non-spoiling way: I really like Aya's parts less and less each time. She feels a bit foisted upon us. I understand why some of it is there. It makes some sense to use her in developing those threads. Still, most of her content was unnecessary and needless intermissions. Handle her stuff via cutscenes and let me continue with Bayek. I wish the final stretch had as much great content as the middle. The home stretch feels poorly paced and vaguely like Forrest Gump, at certain moments (though nowhere in the same realm as AC3). I'm looking forward to the first DLC, but I wish it or the second expanded upon the main narrative. Advancing the plot won't help the poor back-end pacing. Still, the end game has the advantage of all of the best skills and equipment. The gameplay advantages help keep things interesting. The second DLC will be a fantasy type scenario. Meh. I'd prefer "real" history. I guess it will be a good time to break out the Abyssal Steed, Anubis outfit and Horus outfit. Speaking of the Abyssal Steed, I got to see it in person. It really is awesome. It puts all other mounts to shame, and I'm not sure how it could be any other way. The textures, colors and flames are beautiful and badass. In any other game, it would be one of my favorite things. It's that cool. In a game built around reliving the past, though? It makes absolutely no sense. I wish I had that thing in a fantasy action RPG. So cool. Some dude online claimed that the Anubis outfit granted fire immunity. I thought, "If that's true, that's a hell of a perk." He's a lying idiot, and it's not true. It took 5 seconds after loading to find a brazier and set Bayek alight. (Anyone else notice how guards sometimes yell, "I'll light the brassiere!" Haha! Brassieres and braziers are not the same, nor are the words homophones.) A bunch of things in the UbiStore are on sale for a few days. I'm tempted to nab a couple of weapons that I've always wanted. We'll see. I'm nearly out of Helix Creds, so I'd have to use real money. If the prices were/are reasonable, that's okay. I'll need to give it some thought. I'd love to think that the sale is a result of slow sales at full (over)price. In reality, I'm sure it's a holiday sale. Maybe if the sale is successful, they'll decide that permanently dropping prices is a win-win? Yeah, right... For the next game in the series I'd like to see the return of special gear like the outfits in AC4, or the ring in AC3. Skins aren't as cool as functional stuff. They're especially unsatisfying when the protagonist seems entirely nonplussed to have discovered Tony Stark's Iron Man bathrobe. Remember Edward's badass Templar outfit? How about that "Mayan" plate made of Isu materials? It deflected projectile attacks, making the fight with El Tiburón quite entertaining and the final confrontation simpler. I felt rewarded for my efforts to obtain those items. The same is true of finding "Captain Kidd's treasure", an Isu ring, in AC3. These types of things aren't easily monetized like skins, though; so it's a safe bet that we will keep getting skins. Oh, well. Fun game, and I'm eager to see this DLC. I wonder how far it will advance the timeline? Around 30 BCE? A bit earlier or later? We get an increased level cap, so enemies will be tougher. I wonder if the Romans will feature an equivalent to the Phylax? Maybe elite hunters of the Praetorian Guard under Marcus Antonius could assume the phylakes' in-game role? I'm just spitballing based upon actual history and timelines. Nothing in-game really suggests this. I hope we don't have too much (or any) Aya gameplay in this one, but I have a feeling we will. 😒 The Battle of Actium (31 BCE) could finally provide a worthwhile naval encounter for ACO. Those little skirmishes were pretty boring. I'd be shocked if The Hidden Ones didn't involve the struggle between Marc Antony (and Cleopatra) vs Octavian (Augustus). Maybe it will include the Triumvirate vs the Liberators first, to some extent. (Probably only as exposition.) Nothing else in the world in this general era carried as much import; and the story is intertwined with Egypt. The in-game (likely epilogue) rise of the first Roman Emperor would set the stage for a lot of future stories.

It's positive so long as I can still play stealthy assassin. Like I said earlier, pass because Bayek is more a peace keeper/justice type guy before being an assassin. And honestly, I don't find the new combat challenging. At all. I find it tedious and boring. Nothing like doing a boss fight and it taking 10 minutes just because I have to keep dodging, rolling and scooching I understand why people like it, because it's like other games they may enjoy, but it's not ever why I played AC. AC combat, to me, used to feel unique. Now it feels like every other hacky type game. I hope that makes sense. I don't want to sound mean about it, because that's not my intention at all. I just don't like that kind of game play myself. Don't worry about sounding "negative", or whatnot. We're discussing a feature of which you're not a fan. You're one of the friendliest, most polite people on the BSN.Do you feel that you cannot be a stealthy player in ACO? I'm sure you already addressed this, but retreading posts on a phone is challenging. I don't feel that stealth is much different than it was in Black Flag. They added player-controlled crouch and contextual cover of Unity/Syndicate; but otherwise I think it's classic AC. I'm assuming "10 minutes to defeat a boss" is intentional hyperbole. Even Raphesh and Qatesh don't last that long. If you were being serious, I'd have to hit you with a "Git Gud" gif. I think this is sort of the key point at which our preferences diverge. I never liked the ability to mow down tons of opponents because "Assassin". Most of our opponents are professional fighters, be they soldiers or criminals. They shouldn't go down like peasants. AC:O is the first game in which this has been somewhat altered. It's not totally fixed, since good equipment = God Mode. Still, the foes are sometimes able to put up a respectable defense before getting killed. This makes the game feel much more real to me. I never bought into the idea that Assassins can kill by the dozens in combat, though I can readily understand why it gained traction. I hope they include a Nightmare mode, or whatever, from the beginning of the next game. It's a cool addition, but a bit buggy and uneven in its effects. A true "Hard" difficulty featuring better AI would be great. Nightmare just jacks up enemy damage, meaning you slaughter hundreds before getting randomly one-hit killed by some scrub you didn't dodge or block. It sounds "realistic", but it doesn't feel realistic in play. It feels a bit wonky. Shifting gears, how do you ladies and gents feel about ACO's gear? I think dazk and I discussed this a bit. I like the variety offered by the 7 different categories of weapons. I like having various appearance options. I don't particularly like the loot system, with its RPG-style glut of crap. I prefer Unity's outfit system, in which we could piece together our preferred gear, dye it, etc... I feel like this equipment system was designed with microtransactions in mind. Leveled and tiered weapons add nothing to the game's appeal, but entice the foolish to spend cash. MTs aren't going away. That being the case, I'd at least like to see leveled and tiered weapons eliminated. (Leveled enemies kind of suck, too; but that's off-topic.) Let us acquire a cool, functional weapon and be done with it. If some dope spends $10 to get some weapons early, so be it. Let him or her break their SP experience. I'd also like to see a return to more realistic weapons. These oversized weapons with magical properties are silly. I'd think AC would be the perfect game in which to accurately portray weapons' smaller-than-expected (by gamers, at least) real-life sizes. While it's fun to set foes aflame, or poison them, these can be done without "magical" weapons. Coat a weapon in flaming oil, or put your arrow into the flame (already in-game) to get fire effects. Cost a weapon in poison for a certain number of poisonous attacks. All the fun, without D&D in "historical" 49 BCE. If a weapon is going to defy these common sense restrictions, it should be an Isu item. A glowing sword that sets people aflame is more palatable if it's Isu-tech. I just recalled another minor frustration I have with this game. Bayek finds some crazy stuff during his explorations. Some of the stuff he sees would scare us, let alone a dude from Ptolemaic Egypt. Yet, upon encountering and experiencing the most insane of things, Bayek doesn't even comment. He doesn't get freaked out; doesn't offer ideas or conjecture; and generally seems unfazed by it all. Spoilery example below in an sblock. This destroys immersion when it happens. One would think that Bayek would be flabbergasted the first time he dematerializes inside an Isu vault and reappears outside. Yet, he doesn't even comment on any part of the entire experience. Lazy presentation, guys, and I never use that word. First, aww shucks. Thank you! Back atcha! Second: Shhh! It is. It was more like 4-5 mins, but it felt like 30! I haven't played through the game a 2nd time, but I'm pretty sure you have to brawler fight all the bosses and I just found it tedious and boring. Probably because I just hate the brawler type fighting style, so I was just complaining Thirdly, I found that amusing as well. At least Altair/Ezio/Connor/Edward were like ....wtf?? I haven't been around much since it's kind of busy around here atm but I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and is doing well. I skimmed through some of the last posts and I haven't been playing ACO since break started I missed fighting the 3 Gods and such, so I guess I missed....an armor set? I haven't started a new pt either so I can't comment on the legendary drops thing, but if they did mess with the rate, that's low Hugs to everyone and catch you all next time I can take a breath

Weapons/gear/loot are pretty underwhelming. They're tied to micro transactions and I don't see many people giving them grief for this but they deserve it. They could have had more unique loot items, more gadgets, gear sets, unique gadgets etc. They didn't do any of that. I find most of the outfit designs either cheesy or mundane.
Lvl 40 and I'm clearing out everything I come across. I'll pick up the main quest soon. No desire to do everything when I think I'll replay this. Some of the question marks are quite good in their variety and whatnot. The world and level design I have no complaints about. Exceptionally well done.

Some of the question marks are quite good in their variety and whatnot. The world and level design I have no complaints about. Exceptionally well done. I agree, the loot is hardly worth checking and is usually good only for selling. I wish games would go back to a majority of loot being gems for selling or coin and a regular drops of weapons or armor at or above your current level a certain percentage of the time. I find it amusing imagining Bayek carrying around 4 shields, 6 bows, 4 sceptres, 3 dual swords and 8 halberds all of which are only there to be sold. In terms of the outfits I bought the Desert Cobra outfit with Uplay credits, wore it till I could afford the Persian commander outfit and have worn nothing else since. I am not sure whether the outfits we are offered are traditional and whether at the time they were stylish but I just find none of them worth the coin and none are very appealing. Element Zero I went to Alexandria to the shop in the middle of the city and couldn't find the Protector outfit, that's probably the only one that looks decent in my opinion. I went to the store to have a look at the gear you could buy and made the mistake of thinking I was able to use Uplay credits and bought a bow that I really liked, then went to buy the Pharaoh outfit but it said insufficient funs and offered me Helix credit packs to buy and I am like damn I am an idiot. Anyway declined the offer to buy Helix credits My overall experience of the side quests is that I found most of them ridiculous, too much travelling back and forth or too short. There have only been a few that grabbed me emotionally or in a way that I thought they were clever or funny. The main quest, is underwhelming and has had few moments that I have enjoyed or that have been entertaining. I really enjoyed the premise of Syndicates main story but didn't like the game. I also understood the twins motivations for what they set out to do and understood their different goals and motivations in achieving them. ACO seemed confused from the start and yes I understand Bayek's motivations and goals but the way the story is told it doesn't seem like Bayek does sometimes. I had a quick read of some stuff on the net about the role of the Medjay and I am pretty certain if someone had killed my son I wouldn't be worrying about helping a farmer move some wheat as his son was tired or helping out some idiots over a looted ring. That stuff sucks the urgency and reality out of the game for me. Element Zero I agree with your comments re Aya feeling forced on you too, there is so much potential in her character and she is not badly voiced or drawn but the game seems to like to shove things in your face sometimes. Some of the gameplay stuff is also annoying, yesterday I was doing the mission to assassinate the Crocodile. It just so happens that she wanders within bow shot of me early in clearing her estate with her two guards. I thought I'd take the guards out and come back for her later but I hit her (it was a long and not easy shot) instead of one of the guards. So I go over and confirm the kill, get the cut scene and then am teleported about 200 metres outside the fort and when I come back the fort has reset except for the captain I had killed. Would it have been too hard to place me back where I confirmed the kill?

So only spent a few hours in Egypt yesterday and was glad to take revenge on Shayda's killer. Had fun fighting The Brothers of Gaul but totally didn't understand Bayek's grievance with Kensa at the end of that mission. I understand he was cranky about her accepting missions like the brothers did but he never gives her a chance to explain!!!! It seems he is pissed off at her for not confiding in him but he didn't confide in her???? Aaah maybe I am just getting too old and am missing something. Anyway just read on the net (whilst checking the spelling of her name) that I must have killed Kensa and not even realised it, WTF??? Apparently she is a guard of the Crocodile and as I mentioned in an earlier post I took all three of them down at range with my bow and just didn't notice she was one of the dead. Seriously game!!!!!!!! Anyway a pic of Kensa:

dazk , to be fair it was only three bundles of wheat; and the real purpose of the scene was the conversation while carrying those bundles 5m. That guy provided intel on the Scarab’s chief muscle in the region. Well worth moving some grains a few feet I’d say. I generally like the side quests, minus that silly ring and those idiots. That’s the only one that seems out of character or a waste of time to me. You’ll see what I mean about Aya as the game progresses. It annoys tme when she suddenly becomes front and center. Just let me enjoy my protagonist. Edit: Actually, on the topic of that relatively unimportant "wheat scene": I think it's a well executed scene. Bayek is looking for intel, sees a father struggling, and finds some common ground. He puts the guy at ease and lends a hand as the dude spills all he knows. It's actually an ideal way to approach this in real life. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse. Quite the contrary, I just thought it might help you see it in a different light if and when you replay it. Of course, you may still not feel like moving that wheat! I'm assuming that stuff was wheat. I didn't look to hard, but will be thinking of this conversation next time. I know they grew wheat in Egypt, and it had that golden look to it.

Just did a similar one where I lit some wheat fires for him, set myself on fire twice Hey, can you give me any insight on Bayek's and Kensa's conversation after the fight against the Gaul brothers? He had no idea what contracts she had been doing so what was his big issue? Also did you see Kensa with the Crocodile woman? I took her and her guards (of whom Kensa apparently was one) down with long distance bow shots and never even realised Kensa was there . Didn't help being taken straight into the future after confirming the kill, otherwise I may have noticed.

dazk Kensa has been working for the Crocodile, as with all of the other gladiators working side jobs. There is actually a note that clearly foreshadows the revelation in the gladiator “barracks”. It’s from the Crocodile, saying that she won’t be using the brothers after their recent “bout of conscience” and insubordination. Kensa is nowhere around, indicating that she’s already filling the void.
I’ve had three different experiences with Kensa and the Croc. Once, I sniped them from afar as you did. I could see it was her, though, and Bayek commented on it. Next, I aerial assasinated Kensa and then got the Croc. They were discussing how Kensa was enjoying her new position and work. This last time was funny. Some idiot accidentally started a fire with all of that oil that is mentioned earlier in the game. Kensa got roasted about 5 seconds before I’d have killed her from hiding. Berenike bolted and got an arrow to the back of the head.
Their argument in the arena was Kensa being pissed for getting played. Bayek pretended he was there to find a new life like Kensa. He had a secret agenda all along, though, and she was upset that he didn’t trust her. She said she’d have helped him. He stormed out, and we next see Kensa guarding Berenike.

Thanks

Thanks She wasn't supposed to talk about the side jobs, though. He knew that. Everyone knew it, as it's an open secret. He led her to believe he wanted in on the jobs. She did tell him, "Soon, my friend," in regard to answering his questions. He acted a bit pissy about the whole thing. I understand why she felt deceived. In the end, she ended up defending a monster, so there was no way around killing her. I still think her feelings were justified. She was deceived. The fact that he felt grimy about it was evident from their initial meeting at the obelisk. He grimaces after she turns her back, knowing he's deceiving her. So, anyone have any particular hopes for The Hidden Ones DLC? (Other than it being good?) I hope the AC theme makes a return. We do hear it near the end of Origins, at an appropriate time. Still, I love that song and all its varied iterations. I'd like to hear it a bit more clearly and at length. I hope for interesting new gear that isn't locked behind a paywall. Maybe they can add a shield that looks like the Alexander Shield, the Medjay Shield, or both? Better versions of those seem like a popular request. An "Assassin/Hidden Ones Shield" would be an obvious way to make this happen. I'd like this, though I'm perfectly pleased to carry Tomb Protector in perpetuity. I hope the final versions of Bayek's main gear (armor, bracers, quiver and packs) look significantly different and better than the "test versions" currently bugging the game since 1.10. It is noteworthy that their pattern closely matches the Medjay Shield design, so maybe such gear as previously mentioned is likely. I hope the story is tightly woven. Since it's a single arc, this is a golden opportunity to make it the best in the game. We know there is a vault on the Sinai Peninsula, so I expect that will be part of events. Tying this believably into the contemporary events could make for a challenge, but also for a fun story. Maybe Bayek will finally express some surprise, concern or anything in regard to holograms, teleportation and the like. I guess I'll throw in one far-fetched idea that I don't actually expect to happen. I'd like one piece of Isu gear that actually does something or looks decent. The shield and dual swords look most decent of the lot, but they're locked behind a paywall. The outfit, horse and maul sort of look like ass. (The outfit especially looks like ass.) I expect that this story might share the point in history at which the Assassins realize the importance of the "Pieces of Eden". If so, maybe they could throw us one more (less ridiculous) item, even if it's only cosmetic.

So, finished Mars War Logs & that game of Inquisition that was sitting and waiting on me forever. Started Revelations... well, duh, they got my attention! Back to Palestine with Byzantium in the play... I am quickly regaining my enthusiasm! I sort of have a parallel historic journey through the video-game/technology developing with this franchise, seeing how the graphics changes from game to game. Aged Ezio looks okay

It was fun going back and playing the MET before Andromeda and The Witcher games and seeing the massive changes in tech and gameplay over those series.

Anyone able to kill to fucking war elephants? Goddamn. I haven’t fought them yet on Nightmare. I’m expecting some annoying deaths by stomping. Their attacks have ridiculous range, and Bayek isn’t great at dodging. I’ll likely focus on poisonous arrows to the legs and running for my life, interspersed with dying and frustration. I’m still undecided on how much I like Nightmare. It’s a bit uneven, and I’m not sure it enhances the game. Bloating hp and damage numbers, rather than addressing AI, is rarely the right way to go. I know it’s quite literally a tacked in addition, so I at least appreciate the effort.
