That's uh...a mighty fine crew you have there! Olympic Athletes. Some sea air supplements the training... I got a chuckle out of this crew. I like the Daughters of Artemis crew. They look badass. I’d definitely use them extensively with Kassandra. I think my favorites are still the Seaborn (?) crew that I got with the Poseidon pack from the Oikos. Those guys look strong, capable, professional, and maybe slightly fanatical.

Ubisoft has suddenly seem not to recognise I have the game even though I linked it to Steam. WTF.

So, do you get anything if you do all the "documents"? There's just so many that I didn't even bother, and no trophy for motivation to do 'em.

I believe completing the set gives you a more powerful engraving. I have so many good engravings that it wasn’t a huge motivator for me, either. I did the vast majority of them within moments of finding them, but I have a few left. There’s one that involves diving in a lagoon at exactly noon. F&@$ that. I know where to look, so the item should be present regardless of time.

Haha, I just wanted to post an article abou this as well.
I wonder if they'll patch the Adrestia to make it accurate to any new insights they may gain from this.

I just picked it up but I didn't even realize. Must have gotten lucky then. If that really is the case though, that really would make no sense at all.

I believe it’s noon. It’s ridiculous. There were puzzles in Origins that suggested a specific time for searching, but the treasure was always present. I’d love to be wrong about this. If I’m mistaken, and someone claims it at another time of day, I hope they share.

Got my replacement vid card and back at it. Did my first tomb and remembered how much I hate those damn sneaky snakes!! Though they haven't been placed as bad as the ones from origins yet. I need to stop trying to do every little thing on the map though, and I think just stick to the gold side quests, way too easy to get derailed.

They don’t, and are clearly placed just to be an obstacle. Occasionally, once you’ve killed a dozen or so in a tomb, you encounter a floor full of coiled ropes. They do look like snakes for a fraction of a second. It would be funny if the snakes weren't mind-numbingly unimaginative. Most of the animals behave bizarrely. I killed 7 adult bears in a tiny cave yesterday. I’m not sure why there was more than one. Leopards live in packs like wolves in caves. Remember Origins’ swimming hippos? I like the inclusion of wildlife, but the implementation breaks immersion every time.

I like the inclusion of wildlife, but the implementation breaks immersion every time. The one time, I thought the snakes were actually meaningful was when I had to go kill that snake salesman outside of Athens, who was camping out in a clearing, surrounded by high grass full of the dam things. Since he was a fairly tough dude, the fight took a while and you had to be careful not to step too far into the grass during the fight or the snakes would hit you, which, in combination with the guy attacking you could be rather perilous. So that was kind cool because it added a certain new feel to the fight. But yea, in the tombs, snakes are dumb, especially because with the stupid yellow markers they are way too easy to spot (and even if not, since they don't really move, they may hurt you a little but they won't kill you, so you just have to wait for 10 secinds for your HP to regenerate ).

I didn't visit any tomb with Kass and up until Athens and the snake dealer quest I was blissfully happy that snakes were removed from the game. I hated them in Origins, I hate them here. There is a tomb with 4 snakes in a group that kill you almost instantly if you make a wrong step after you slide below the wall. Whoever designed that needs to be locked in a box full of snakes so he gets PTSD every time he even thinks of adding snakes in a game.

Anyone else notice the two new trophies? I saw my number under 100% and thought there was an error. Two “new feats” have been added to the trophies, but are not yet achievable.

I finally finished the "odyssey" storyline. Still working the other two. I've hooked up with almost everyone that I could. I recruited Roxanna to my ship. I love her most I think. Some day I will finish this game, but that day is not today

Kaidan Fan, Roxana is my favorite, too. I wish her stats didn’t suck. I’d love to see her standing on deck and fighting with the boarding party. My current lieutenants with Kassandra are badass, not just in stats but also looks. Two are hulking dudes. One has a huge bone cudgel and simple armor. The other has elaborate armor, a double-plumed helm and a glaive. My other two are women. One has a name like a paladin and looks almost exactly like Wonder Woman (even more so than Daphnae or Kassandra). The other is a wily rogue knife-fighter with little armor and a distinctive green robe. I need to get back out to sea so I can see them in action. I can’t recall if it was ShadowAngel or Obsidian Gryphon that mentioned fist-fighting. It’s both fun and effective. I now pummel into submission mercs I want to recruit and civilians who take exception with my behavior. (It’s so much easier than starting a huge battle in which I try to use blunt arrows on my desired recruit.) People gather around to watch the fight, cheering and jeering. No guards interfere and no bounties result. If we didn’t benefit from the perks of both equipped melee weapons, I’d keep that second slot ready for fisticuffs at all times! You can really beat some ass unarmed. The move sets are a lot of fun.

Element Zero , I did say I gave myself the challenge of pummeling an entire fort of guards. And that I noticed patrols will not interfere if the protag is using fists. I only equipped the spear in the second slot when I go diving. Better the reach to kill the sharks.

Although her comment just before that to the question "what were you up to?" was priceless. I am starting to dabble in fist fighting too. It hurts my soul a bit to lose the extra stats, but there is fun to be had. Reminds me of the way I played Jacob in Syndicate. Kicking the front door of the child labor factories and beating down every goon with my fists. Because - no killing in front of the kids. And to teach a lesson.

Wasn't me who brought up fist fighting mercs, that said it really is effective. I tend to do that vs the civilians who pick up weapons so as to not kill them.
I've been on an Odyssey break since the 16th, been to busy with other stuff but im wanting to get it finished soon to have the holidays freed up for other games. I'm pretty close, I know the main storyline is like 70-80% and the only part of the map I haven't cleared is the lower left end. Think I'm around 70 hours of play time (and I'm near lvl 47) too. So it definitely seems possible to beat it in 100 or less hours so long as you don't do everything.

I wish they would offer mounts and ship figureheads and sails for purchase at Oikos' shop. I don't check very often but they only seem to ever offer armour pieces and weapons of which I have zero intrest in, and I'm not going to waste any more orichalcum on the crates. If they don't switch stuff up soon then I don't really see any reason to continue participating in the weekly events for the stuff.
On the other hand, I really enjoy the ship events where you have to sink certain ships they have sailing around each week and you get a new sail. They're a blast to do and I love the loot you get. Anything mount or ship related makes me happy! 😁
