I’m taking a break and BSNing. Kaidan Fan, I think the cave is actually between the western and central peninsulas. I see a ? on the map where it might be. It’s up there somewhere. As the above suggests, I’m in Makedonia at the moment. My evening started poorly with multiple crashes. The game has been iffy since the last two patches. It crashed tonight every time I used Ikaros. I regained my mood by absolutely Devastating the legendary farting pig. Four straight critical headshots with Devastating Shot and then a pouncing heavy attack. The thing barely got to move! I cleared Achaia, getting some great loot. I believe dazk might be using the very breastplate I looted. Mine has insanely good Assassination perks, and so it finally displaced the Armor of Perikles as my chestpiece. I have the full Amazon set, now, and it really looks badass. Unfortunately, it compromises my play style too much to use it. My skills and all-important Crit Damage take a noticeable dive while it’s equipped. I also found some more really cool Hunter gear. In Achaia, Kassandra was truly mercenary. I debilitated the Athenians in order to draw out a cultist, and then helped them defeat Sparta’s challenge. I resumed taking contracts against them, and then aided them in another battle when an officer offered extra pay to do so. From Achaia, I sailed north to Phokis to visit Daphnae and turn in two pelts. That Artemis Hunter set might be the best of the Legendary sets, in terms of optimization capability. We’ll see once I get the rest of it. I rode from Phokis back east into Boeotia, claiming three bounties and some orichalcum. Then, I ride north into Makedonia. I’m going to sail out of Makedonia once ready, and visit some of the northern islands.

Its the epic Assassin Breast Plate, I love its look and its stats I think I'll probably use it for the rest of the game. Element Zero We also we discussed elsewhere the abilities wheel/slots. I reset my abilities today and discovered at Level 33 Spear Level 34 that I have access to the 2nd Melee skill wheel/slots. On PC it's Shift ~ to bring it up which in combat is a pain but I now have access to six melee abilities.

This sucks since pushing DOWN requires moving the thumb from the left analog stick. It’s not a game breaker, but it does cause a brief delay in reaction time and/or movement that wouldn’t otherwise happen. I try to switch during the animations of an active power, but I often end up having to switch after backing away from an enemy. Since nearly every button is in use, the only practical way that I could see it being changed would be to map it to L3, which is depression of the left analog stick. That could work well. Frustratingly, I use a custom Scufs controller that is remappable and all around pretty awesome. The frustrating bit is that two keys can’t be remapped, for some reason: UP and DOWN. This means I could never remap MEA’s obnoxious omnitool scanner, and I won’t be able to remap Odyssey’s wheel-toggle.

Automatic arrows is my big take from this 😁 Perfect fit for my 3rd run as Hunter Kass, daughter of Artemis. Increased Merc Tier bonuses and less upgrade costs is nice too. Although I swim in resources anyway.

I’ve already found a newly bugged quest, at least for me. In “Caged and Enraged”, I carefully freed the wolves and returned to Zoe. Kassandra promptly told Zoe that she’d killed the wolves. 🙄
I had the same thought regarding arrows. I also experienced The Blind King bug. I skipped exploring Ajax’s Tomb with Kassandra, thinking udxsave it until the end. Now I guess I can go back and get it with both protagonists. Some of the fixes listed definitely aren’t applied to my current saves. I hope we don’t have to start a new save to benefit from all of the fixes.

I freed the wolves and ran, but some soldiers killed a couple of the beasties and Kass took the blame too. I think not a single wolf should die (or maybe not even damaged?) in order to get perfect outcome.

I scouted the path back, but there could’ve been a traveler from the west. A minor quest in the scheme of things, at least. I forget why I actually picked up my phone to post. 🤔 Still no way to buy/sale in bulk. I hope they find a way to make that work. Buying 300 units of anything is annoyingly time consuming and uncomfortable for my joints.

Hold the button to increase the number of the resource you want to buy and also keep pressing the "buy" button at the same time. You will buy everything really fast since a purchase doesn't reset the counter and at the same time the counter keeps going up.

Will keep Leonidas Spear throw if I have the points but put it on the 2nd melee bar as I can only use it in stealth anyway and it will be easy to change bars in cover. I'll get Rush Assassination and I'll get rid of Spartan Kick for now and replace it with shield breaker. So I will have Heroic Strike, Rush Assassination, Shield Breaker and Second Wind on the first Melee Bar and Leonidas Spear Throw and Flame Weapons on the second Melee Bar. Forgot to mention yesterday not only did I get a great chest piece I also got the The Fanged Bow from a Merc and its great. High Assassin stats and converts normal arrows to poison arrows.

For the two skill binding sets, I made one for stealth, one for combat: Stealth: 1. Rush Assassination 2. Vanish (will probably change that since I actually never use it) 3. Shadow of Nyx (I don't use that nearly often enough, I have to admit, always forget it exists ) 4. Flaming Attucks (in case I want to burn somthing with my bow) Combat: 1. Spartan Kick 2. Venomous Attacks (I went 3/3 in both of the poison perks and that's pretty dam effective for no cost at all) 3. Battlecry of Ares 4. Second Wind I set the button to change between them to Q (I tend to dodge a lot and basically never parry anyway), which works pretty well, you just have to remember to always hit q at the beginning and end of a combat encounter, to have the right abilities ready. But I found this to be pretty effective for my playstyle, which is basically go in sneaky and try to take them out silently until something gets screwed up, then fight them all in CQC.

Yeah that was basically my intent to put stealth skills or skills I will activate from cover on the second set as its not something I will use in melee. I thought about rebinding the controls, I was going to use "F" but I couldn't see where to rebind the keys in settings????? I use "Q" to parry a lot against low level characters so I'd prefer to keep it bound as Parry.

Yay when you board a ship you'll auto get the loot rather than having to hit "E" to loot it from the water. That used to drive me nuts and sometimes I'd just forget. Element Zero did you see you can dismiss Tekton from being a Lieutenant after the patch?

AFAIK, you only need the spear upgrades to get the kills to level 3 but at least the first level of each skill should be unlocked as soon as you meet the character level requirements (yea, it's complicated ).
I rebound parry to G, which was "switch ranged" before, which I enver used either. So maybe G would work for you? It's still fairly easy to reach from WASD.
BTW, I have two question fro everyone: What is Hero Strike good for? The perk description with the 60% Assassin Damage sounds aweful and in the little demo video it just looks like another weird kill move. What's the advantage over a normal assassination?

I love Heroic Strike, against lower tiered enemies its a one hit kill, against higher enemies it takes at least 30 to 50% of their health and knocks them to the ground for a few seconds. I use it to soften merc's and stuff up early in a fight. Where in settings did you find where to re-bind the keys? I looked but couldn't see it but I am sure its obvious and I am just being dumb.

dazk , I still can’t dismiss Tekton! 😢 Punk won’t leave my crew. Also, Rush Assassination is the spear-throw. Maybe you’re thinking of Criyical Assassination? If so, it requires no wheel slot. You should have an extra slot open, though it’s tough to evolve 8 actives and all of the passives. AnDromedary , Heroic Strike is a great skill, particularly if you optimized Assassination Damage. It isn’t a stealth attack like Critical Assassination or Rush Assassination; it’s a combat skill. It bypasses shields and interrupts heavy attacks. I’ve used it as a primary melee alongside Shield Breaker and Ring of Chaos in both playthroughs. I haven’t had much use for Slow Time in these PTs, but I imagine it will be a go-to for my Hunter. There are so many good skills, and so few points and slots. My Ranged Wheel is: Predator Shot; Ghost Arrow of Artemis; Multishot; Devastating Shot Melee 1: Ring of Chaos; Heroic Strike; Second Wind; Shield Breaker Melee 2: Shadow of Nyx; Rush Assassination; Vanish (which I never use since it’s on the wrong wheel); Poison (gateway skill I never use since my primary weapons are poisoned by default) Honestly, I probably only use Shadow of Nyx a few times in the entire game. It’s cool, but the game incentivized confrontation by adding “kill the captain to complete” to even the most mundane sites. Anytime I can, I use SoN. There’s a late game assassination in a wide open, heavily guarded venue. I used SoN to creep right up to the target and again to creep away. Very cool.

Wait, so Hero Strike works in combat?!?! Ok, THAT does change things. They should have made that clear in the description (or at least in the little video, because in there he also sneaks up on the target). Ok, gonna get myself that one next for sure. Thanks guys.

Yeah, the assassination skill descriptions are terrible. I hesitated to get Critical Assassination because it seemed to be implying an active power. When I decided to test the vague description, it was just the awesome boost. Heroic Strike is likewise vague. You pretty much just have to try things and see how they work. Warrior and Hunter are straight forward, at least. I’m still looking forward to playing a Hunter/Assassin. I almost went that route this PT, but didn’t. I know I could switch my gear now and do it, but it would feel odd. I’m already in my Assassin/Warrior groove. I just got Ring of Chaos up to 3. Let the destruction begin! That will be my final active skill that I actually use. I can put two more points into Vanish, now, if I want.

I wish they didn't bind the auto-craft to a mouse button because that button doesn't work for me. I can't rebind the key.

Going to pursue ring of chaos next few level ups.

Of the AC games I play, I think AC Odyssey is going to be my fav. I've always an interest in history and Greeks were the first I read about in the school library when I was in primary school. I always went there during breaks to read, poring over the pictures and stories. Throw in a protag I really like and music which makes me feel oddly nostalgic as Kass wandered through Greece on her horse and accompanied by her eagle. I listened to the ost when I was cleaning up the room. My favs; This singer sounds familiar, reminds me of Merethe Soltvedt who often sings for Two Steps From Hell.
