I spent so much time not actually moving the story forward when I was meaning to do so, that Alexios is at level 63 now and the game is only 70% completed. I started playing the game when it released on Oct. 2 so by the time they raised the level cap on Nov. 13 I had already gotten to level 50 and finished all 3 story lines, side quests and exploration spots. So I had nothing left to help me level except grinding forts, bounty board and ship battles. And that gets boring to me after doing a couple so it's dragging along for me. Still level 55, lol. I imagine my Kassandra will get higher before she is done though.
I'm going to be salty about this for a long time! If you play on PC there are many easy ways to level up to 70 in almost an instant ...

If you play on PC there are many easy ways to level up to 70 in almost an instant ... I'm listening..................... link I can recommend this one. Easy to use even if you never tried CE tables. You can set the exp gain at whatever rate you like - 1x, 2x, 1000x Plus it has my favorite "No horse speed limit" which is awesome.
WeMod is pretty reliable and regularly updated as well.

WeMod is pretty reliable and regularly updated as well. Oh I thought it would just be some console command or something. Funnily enough I've never used those. But I'm afraid to download stuff and mess up my games. It's why I've never modded DA or ME. I'm scared of modding even though I really want some of the neat stuffs. I guess it's back to grinding and maybe I'll be level 70 in about 4 months

I guess it's back to grinding and maybe I'll be level 70 in about 4 months You really can't mess up anything with Cheat Engine tables (unless you try hard and know what you are doing). They are really straightforward and easy to use. Download the Cheat Engine program, get the linked CE table, start the game, activate the table, point it to the game, then just choose what option you want to use while gaming and done. It doesn't modify or rewrite permanently any original files and will not cause issues when you need to update the game or patch it. Far safer and easier than modding.
WeMod is even easier since it's an All-in-one program for a large library of games. Just install the WeMod client and pick the game you want, then start it through the WeMod client and use the shortcuts for any cheat you want.

I have never modded or cheated an AC game or ME game (until MEA) but have modded DA. I never use mods that enhance combat unless its to fix a bug with a particular weapon etc. I did buy the XP booster for Odyssey and I kind of feel bad doing it but I am also glad I did given how long the game is. And as I mentioned somewhere else it was actually nice to play almost half the game having hit level 50 and being able to muck around with build etc at full strength. Also given enemies level with you it didn't make much of a difference other than getting to 50 sooner.
One thing I liked about the original AC games was there was no easy/hard settings so it was a level playing field for everyone except people using cheats. For someone like me who at the time was trying to get to number 1 in my region for kills and ship sinking in ACBF it was nice to know everyone was getting their stats from the same difficulty.

For me. I never use cheat engines because they're not from the devs. I'd rather have a command console that's already in the game. For rpg games, yes, I use mods and I use the cheats. What cheats do I use? DA series DAO - money DA II - money and clear-the-zone. The latter because I got tired of the horde mode in replay PTs DAI - money, armor, hair mods MET ME1 - money. ME2 - Gibbs editor to give money, change the resources (I don't care for the scan planet thing) and fiddle with ME1 endgame results / relationships in numerous PTs ME 3- Gibbs editor, same as ME2 Gibbs Editor is not from the devs but I gave it a chance since it received a lot of recommendations from ME fans. For other RPGs like Divinity Original Sins 2 and so on, I use the console to get more money and made everyone godlike for tough fights. I play RPGs solely for the stories, not the combat though I'll not use godmode straight away. It's only when I have difficulty will I use it. For other games I do use cheats. Example; XCom 2 - when I found it totally ridiculous when a shot chance is 90+ % and the soldier is standing right in front of the mob, to completely miss the target. After a few more such instances I got fedup because I feel the game is cheating and enabled the no damage to soldiers cheat. Subnautica - I cheated to get the mats to build the base. There's no need for cheats in other games; Adventure games. They're story rich and gameplay is easy. Puzzles and gathering information. FPS / action games. Example, Call of Duty series, Dishonored series, AC series. Visual novels.

So just been mucking around in Odyssey, had a few weird and funny things happen. Ghost Arrows have become literally hit and miss for me the last two days, as an example yesterday aiming at a guard and it clearly says the guy will die. Didn't even aim for a headshot and the arrow went straight through the guy doing no damage, so did the 2nd one and the 3rd one even though it said it would kill him outright did minimal damage. So it took four arrows and 4 adrenaline blocks to kill one guard. This not the first time I have experienced this but it happened far too often the last few days. Have been encountering a lot of animals stuck trying to run through a rock or some other inanimate object, makes for easy leather and I love getting a bit of payback on those Lynx. Three of them in a cave all head butting walls. Found a docked ship today with a sad name: Rescued a horse stuck on a tent: Had a glitch where a warehouse would not recognise I completed it until I went back and did it again two more times and even then I had to log out to make it give me the completed quest message. Then got to have the name travel everywhere with me for a few fast travels (its in the horse photo above as well: Did the Two Tales of Lost Greece or whatever they are called, they were barely amusing and I cannot believe you get an achievement for completing them. Accidentally came across a burial: Found a piece of armour with a double Assassin damage stat, anyone else seen that before? Game is still beautiful though:

I'm at 70 now with two cultists (Swordfish and the Ghost) to get and I haven't touched Atlantis yet. I must be about the most inefficient game player ever because I haven't touched the addons either. But I did go from wondering if I could finish the game (although mythical creatures and legendary animals may be my downfall) because of my lousy mastery of the keyboard and mouse to being able to progress just fine with the main game even in sword fights. Like Dazk mentioned, there have been some times when my ghost arrows showed they would hit someone and they seemed to go right through them without any health lost, even though I know I was in range. I love to mod but it's game enhancing mostly, not God power type of cheating. I always mod to keep my pets, quest characters, companions and such alive because I don't like having dead friends, family, and acquaintances, (I guess that is playing God...ha ha) if I can help it. But I must say, not being able to mod is a blessing for me, in a way, because modding can drive me nuts with having to remember how to do it for each game and each time I start up a game I've played before. Modding can be addictive. I've rescued lots of horses, stuck upright on tents, walls, etc...having 4 horses, I have to rescue them. I love the kids and their dialogue in this game, even if some of them are "little shits", according to their parents and Alexios Their voices are cute and they have some of the funniest things to day. Right now I'm looking for Swordfish and the little boy you talk to is so cute. I even like how they walk around and swing their arms and the other movements they have. My Alexios is really good with kids even if he did apparently ruin one little girl's life by being "too nice" to her. Skyrim and some other games I've played, have really annoying and not fun kids.

I have to be honest, one thing I'm not particularly fond of in AC Odyssey is the minor changes to the combat from Origins. I personally found Origins combat with it's shield based combat to be more accessible to me.
Also, apparently Assassinations aren't one-hit effective like they were in Origins (provided you upgraded the hidden blade and were equal or similar level to your enemy), same with bow headshots. This most likely means that when I decide to restart the game and try to rebuild my Kassandra, I should bear in mind the following:
1. If you're going to try and play like the Assassin, with more emphasis on stealth and archery, put more emphasis on equipment that increase assassin or hunter damage as well as probably spend more skill points on assassin or hunter abilities.
2. Don't just stick with one weapon. Have a couple different styles for different situations. I tried taking on a level 12 legendary boar with a legendary sword and got trampled by all of her family.

I don't miss the shield at all and I say good riddance! It's fine for people who want it, I guess, but I felt like some fights I had to use it, and that, I did not like at all. And in this game I hate that I want to play like an Assassin and sneak around but they're like YOU HAVE TO KILL THE MAIN DUDE IN THIS FORT. So when you do, 8 guys on the other side have like super sonic hearing/radar and are like ZOMG, KILL THE MISTHIOS!

Well you'll enjoy Origins, there is one really sad kid quest but most of the others are brilliant. I am the same with MODS, sometimes its just easier not to. I had to stop my last DAI PT because the MODS stopped working and I couldn't make myself continue without them. You can of course give the legendary animals a miss if you want to pass on the armour you get but you'll need to do The Mythical Creatures to finish Atlantis. Sphynx is non-combat, on Easy Minotaur really shouldn't give you too much trouble especially if you have points in overpower attack and Medusa may take a few times but you just need to remain in cover and kill her helpers and when she takes a break after trying to petrify you run out and whack with over power or Hero Strike, then run away and hide behind a pillar again.

I prefer the combat in Odyssey personally, I hated the shield TBH. Yeah its frustrating not being able to assassinate anyone critically early on but you can build towards that relatively quickly with the right gear and engravings and abilities. I have hit 70 and have come across some L67 enemies that I have forgotten to check if I can insta-kill them to my annoyance lately. I hate having to use Adrenaline to assassinate. I never use my 2nd weapon its just there for its stats.

And no to mention that some of those main dudes seemed deliberately made to be untouchable behind their enormous shield until Bayek's health dropped to a certain level. I'd effectively developed my technique to get behind those guys but it seemed the game gave them impossible reflexes to stop you getting to them. And yes I am in the good riddance to the shield as well, even if it was my own stupid fault I'd forget to use it.

Not much to tell in Kassandra's journey yet, she's still mostly just wandering about. I should really be doing more story Here's Kass going in her first tomb: And Alexios swimming with the fishies A bit disappointing the tombs in Odyssey compared to Origins. They're just there for ability points.

Andrew Waples I have felt like the Origins tombs were more fun/interesting too. I think the ones in Odyssey seem ...shorter? Maybe people complained they took too long? I liked them though! HAPPY NEW YEAR all you lovely AC peeps!
