There, there. Thirded! It's incredibly off-putting, and once again I'm relieved other people got the same impression. Not only is it just generally odd to see your own character like that but not the romance option, like SpiritVanguard said, the Blackwall one specifically is just... wrong. Thankfully, I've only heard/read descriptions, but I really don't understand it. He basically uses your for sex, leaves you naked in a barn and goes to kill himself. Whataniceguy... And people like the romance, for reasons I just cannot fathom. Sorry, those people, but I just can't. The others might not be for me, but that one is just creepy Anyway, if it wasn't Bioware's intention to make the player feel weirded out by that, I don't know what the point was. The target demographic won't be looking to see a woman, better yet their own character, naked. It's just bizarre! So yeah, it certainly does "feel cheap and gross, like some dirty tissue lying on the ground." And Cass's does sound gratuitous, so that's the silver lining of not being able to romance her anyway, I guess face name/avatar find their way over here! [/quote] Not everyone chooses to sleep with a depressed guy in the barn. The conversation really doesn't make for good timing to ask for sex so it's a good thing there's an option just to talk. But then, the people who don't like him are never going to enjoy the romance anyway so no point in having to worry about being treated that way. To keep the topic on Cullen, it's always been a little weird to see the guy naked in a loft with no roof. Wouldn't that be ridiculously cold up there?

Umm... I could say after that passionate night in his office, the Inquisitor invites Cullen to stay in her fancy suite. All so she can keep him nice and toasty in her big warm bed

Blackwall speak~ I'm shamelessly drawn to always picking heart-options in dialogue with LIs I did think it had odd timing, but considering he's already decided on the Thing he's going to do I see it as more of a "farewell." It was just very poorly done. I've not played the other path, I'll try that next time. I did think it was kinda funny but still fits Cullen. He has more important things to do and worry about than a hole in the ceiling. ;D I always wonder if he even spends a lot of time up there himself, being so very devoted to his work. I could easily imagine him falling asleep at his desk...

He has more important things to do and worry about than a hole in the ceiling. ;D I always wonder if he even spends a lot of time up there himself, being so very devoted to his work. I could easily imagine him falling asleep at his desk... It's a lot shorter, he just hands the badge to the Inquisitor in the tavern and when she looks up, he's gone. Even if I went down the barn path, it's odd in several ways because if they were in the tavern, they had to pass the entrance to the Inquisitor's throne room, down the steps, past the gate, past the market stalls to get to the barn. It would have been so much shorter just going to the Inquisitor's room. *shakes head* So I agree with you Spirit Vanguard, I don't get the vibe that he did it to be disrespectful, he just didn't think that one through very well. It's a one time deal though and never repeated as Trespasser showed. If a love interest can get away with treating you as the royal mistress, lying, dumping you because they can't deal with what they've learned only to reconcile later or demand special treatment while reciprocating no effort on their part, then Blackwall's just one more troubled soul on the pile of romantic angst. As for Cullen's room, I've looked around and it alarms me in several ways. Even the floor has a hole in it and the wood looks rotted. I'm usually terrified that his bed will drop through onto him.

Yes or no...could this model pass as Cullen if Cullen were real? I don't see it, maybe for Dorian with a thin mustache. I just find him too young and pretty, Cullen is probably mid-late 30's to keep with the timeline and seems a little rough (at least on the outside) but that's just my opinion

THIS is the guy I would've pegged more for Allister. http://instagr.am/p/BCgyyU2OawZ Or this guy. (if they were younger versions) http://instagr.am/p/7grmFNOa4u

I don't know, if the one up there for Cullen was either aged or if he represented a younger version of Cullen, like a Frelden Circle Cullen?? I'm thinking of trying to sketch some of these, I really like some of the poses but I need differnt angles and stuff and I'm trying to get ideas. I usually don't try copying things directly, I like to draw freehand and just see what comes out.

Just think of it as anatomy study; I follow Michael Stokes for the same reason (the fact that I'm not an artist being totally irrelevant! ) Seriously, though, he does capture some really great, evocative poses and the musculature of his models is staggering. If you were looking for something you could turn into a Cullen piece, this would be a great one to emulate: NSFW spoiler for bare manflesh and sidebottom!

^ In a way, that model reminds me of a young DA2 Cullen, but I think it works for DAI as well. Story wise, the chains would obviously represent his ties to the past, the Templar Order and lyrium. He's trying to break out of them until the lady Inquisitor helps set him free.
This would also be cool to see in a dream state scene where Cullen's having one of his many nightmares.

I've been following Michael's work on Facebook for about a year and YES, his art is beautiful! I look at it and it's like looking at a Michaelangelo sculpture, but with flesh instead of marble. His poses always evoke some kind of raw emotion and it's wonderful. The work he did with the vetran amputees was amazing. I never really consodered that photo, I have seen it before, many times, but I hadn't considered it because it wasn't a close up of his face...and I got kinda distracted by other things. This is the one I always go back to, I think it's just gorgeous. NSFW spoiler : tastefully photographed naked guy.

Maker's breath indeed, Cullen, my first bioware Romance, he just suited my Lavellan really well and, well, now I am hooked.
