Call the side quest boring, fine,that's your opinion. Calling every quest fetch quest just shows that you have no idea what the word means.
...Go over there and scan quests?
Kill this guy quests?
My family needs you to ______ quests?
Collect some shit for me quests?
What's in common between all of those?
The fetching. This game is a giant fetch quest. What's annoying is that they could have at least tried to put some effort into these - through short stories with cinematic cuts and resolutions that have an impact.
But nope. Just some banter, XP, and the quest giver might change his pose when you're done.
By your narrow definition every quest in every game is a fetch quest.
