I actually get what you are saying because I felt that way about the Inquisition cc, that no matter what I was trying to input, to play any attractive female, I had to play a white girl. So, I hope they add the white preset to match the same type of face everyone posts in the numerous threads they make to show how superior the Inquisition cc is. The oval-faced girl, with regular features, and pretty. For males, the problems run deeper, as the small tweaks to the face really Age the face in the game. They will need to add the complexion slider if possible to airbrush the boys. Agree. I tried to make a male in the CC and he ended up looking 40-50 years old!! Well, not every preset does, but at least one has severely exaggerated skin, despite the overall shape of the face being extremely attractive. Other presets look just fine until Ryder has an emotional moment. Then he ages because crow feet become exaggerated. Also, in my experience, moving the brows/eyes leave a shadow under the brow. As long as they add the complexion bar, and you can air'brush away the skin problems (if you want to) the way it was done for females, the male presets themselves will be fine. After all, we are playing really young guys, before they fully mature, which is when males often have that boyish glow to them. I can live with explaining the roughness and acne away by the long cryo and hostile environmental conditions, but it does not impact the females, so it's odd. So, hoping the male skin will be the second issue on the cc correction list....

I find it annoying that certain features are locked to certain presets.
You should be able to start anywhere and adjust to any of the available presets...
And why weren't the default characters an additional preset we could fiddle with?

So, hoping the male skin will be the second issue on the cc correction list.... Just a little side note...I tried to make a black girl from preset #7 (I think she is prettier than the preset #8 that most folks really like). Her skin is really bad. It looks like those girls that cake makeup on to hide acne scars. I have no idea what happened in that particular face scan, but there is no way to fix that in CC. If you slide it to a paler color, you can really see how bad it is. This is why I am rolling with the female preset #5 right now. Her skin is freckled, which some folks might not like, but at least it looks healthy. Female presets #7 and #3 have really bad looking skin, imo. #6 has weird shadows that looks like she shaves or something. The skin texture needs revamped in many cases, I think.

I did an excellent Asian femRyder which is something I've wanted to see done properly for years. Didn't see why we had to sacrifice a decent Caucasian Ryder to get her though. Surely we can have both? Apart from that I thought the CC was OK. Not as many ways to fully customise your character but I get overwhelmed sometimes anyway and spend ages tweaking. I thought it was an acceptable middle ground. Just get some decent white skin tones in there.

I voted it needs rebuilt, it's very unlikely that'll happen though.
I view the current "cc" as a character preset giving us the ability for minor tweaks, and far from an actual character creator. When I can see various people having the same characters but with different colors or tattoos I think that means the cc is flawed. If bioware said this Is a character preset then sure, leave it as is, but they hyped up the cc a lot and it really underachieved.

- The asian, indian, and black presets are relatively attractive. I found the Asian preset to be really terrible. I'm asian and even i don't want to look at it lol Basically I tried to make SisRyder with smallish features and moderate to thin lips but couldn't pic for reference

I find it hard to make a decent black male Ryder in cc. The hair options are just horrible and the black male presets look like old men. Black femRyder have good presets but not male Ryder.

The character creator in Andromeda was a joke. It felt like a cc from like 3 gens ago.

All of those faces are real life people scanned, flaws and all. I understand that, however, in previous games we had a complexion setting that allowed us to airbrush the characters, even in the games with heads that could not be changed just like in Andromeda - i.e. SWTOR. If BioWARE did not also specified Ryder's age as 22, as in really young, I would have treated the different presets as ways to change the age of my protagonist. Below is the specific male head preset that I would have liked to have an option to have a less damaged skin for: So, again, i do not mind the Cc, I would simply like the Complexion added and more hairstyles (as well as the Oval Face, Regular Features Head for Ladies)

I do not mind the CC, I do not mind the faces and shape structure themselves (save for the Oval Faced Pretty Girl with Regular Features that so many folks want), I just want the airbrush option for Complexion - it really worked well in SWTOR that has less head choices than Andromeda. I am aware they are working on CC, I just would like to know if they are considering the Complexion slide-bar.

This made the CC more limited. And since a certain Ryder is still around, that Ryder should have changed to match too. Let me tell you my Asian Sara was very confused when she saw a certain memory.

I don't understand what specifically in my post made you say that? I am FINE with matching Alec with kids, I liked all my parent-child matches. I just want the ability to use a Complexion slider to smooth out male skin. Complexion does not actually mean the shade of skin in their Creator in SWTOR, it is superficial texturing of the face, such as wrinkles, freckles, tan masks and in some cases it even changed the brow and eye shape (not here though). SO, I am just looking for a few overlays that will re-texture the skin a little, making it smoother or less smooth. I think they had that in DA2, but I can't vouch for it.

Well, I am okay that it is limited, but they were able to re-texture the eyes in a matter of days, so I am interested to know what specifically they are working on, because they said they are, and if it includes the re-texture of the existing heads, rather than rounding up the college art majors for adding more facial scans.... Obviously, if I knew how to tweet, I'd tweet. But I do not, so I am hoping someone knows ad tells us eventually.

I doubt they will scan more. I see more CC, makeup, hair and hair color and options and more things to edit likely, like eyebrows and size of eyes.

Well, that's why I would like to bring up the skin textures and ask about skin textures for males. Because I am fine with eyes and I am sure we were told more hair is on the list. SO, for me, the only issues with CC is really, the male head textures....

That doesn't mean we can't get more presets. We know more presets exist, particularly for Sara. This one isn't terrible, and they could give us presets based on some of the unique NPC's. I agree though we still need more sliders for everything, scale and rotation options for different parts in particular would be nice. If I could scale down preset 9's eyes and give her a white skin tone I could probably be satisfied with the CC, not thrilled, but at least I could actually get more than a few hours into a Sara game. Would like some more hair options as well, most of them just look odd except for the ponytail :contempt: and the really short ones.

I didn't see any on the MEA Nexus. Hopefully some of the mod'ers will come up with some new presets for us too. Wish I knew how to do all that modelling work I would just make my own.

During the Turian murder trial you talk to the female witness where Addison is. She has curly purple hair. And the lady piloting the Nexus has a long ponytail.
