FYI here is a handy table-converter that will make tables for both reddit (markdown) and message boards (BBcode): theenemy.dk/table/One downside is that it doesn't put in the grid for BBcode, but we can live without that.

shadow's extra additional damage bonus per clip depletion breaks the self imposed rules of this comparison. If you do take it into consideration it will show shadow much more effective, but it won't be real when you allow weapon damage bonuses for the other weapons. Shadow receives a linear additive bonus per bullet up to 50% for the last bullet. Damage bonus per bullet N is 0.5 *(N/MagSize) Also its damage per 20 seconds varies with magazine size . I think the devs made this weapon just to mess with your dps comparison charts Yeah I'm not sure I can make a formula for that lol, I can just add a note about it. We'd have to do it as a Riemann sum so it's less trivial and yes they are trolling us with this. I'll see what I can come up with. Plus, Soned is variable rate and I probably need to redo calcs for it as well as the current stats are understated, given increasing fire rate (though at least they finally listed the range of RoF in the Patch Notes). Plus the charge mechanics/bonuses for the Venom are still unknown and that might have sizable DPC/DPC implications like it did in ME3. Plus I'm not sure other charged shot weapons are represented totally accurately. For example, in ME3 the Arc pistol looked pretty good using dmg from fully-charged and not charged (trigger spammed) shots, but actually had higher DPS when using exclusively partially charged shots, because of the 2x damage multiplier it got for charging on top of number of projectiles increasing with charge. If you charged and fired consistently immediately following the minimum amount of time to get 2 projectiles out and factor in the 2X bonus for charging you get better than full charge at appx 2 shots at 4x base damage for a single projectile at nearly the same RoF as fully charged shots, which got 6X base damage over that time period. I expect some of these will end up getting a little extra analysis to better capture relative strength across various Ranks.

So yeah, the Disciple and the (Katana even) do have higher dps than the Ruzaad. As hilarious as that sounds at first, you're supposed to hit with every shot to out-dps the Ruzaad, and honestly for a shotgun I'd rather have higher damage per shot than per second. I tested out more extensively (no pun intended) yesterday and the Disciple is still pretty shit, will pick the Ruzaad over that one every day. And the Katana is a joke, it's like the ugly sister of the Disciple, shittier damage, one less round in the mag, shittier accuracy, same Rof and slighlty lighter in weight. No point using it pretty much ever.
Also, the Mattock is still shittier than the Predator. LMAO. Never mind that, was watching patch 1.05. duh.
Makes me wonder if Predator+turbocharge could do decent with a macro.

FYI - I did take the time to determine the max effective RoF for the burst weapons, based on the re-fire cooldown timers in the game files from hello_isaac. To make a long story short, the best any burst fire weapon can do in 1 second is 2 full bursts, period, so the effective RoF is much lower than stated RoF for all burst weapons thanks to the refire cool down mechanic. That mechanic is bs, imo.

Some weapons are untouched by patch 1.06 clearly because they were popular among players. Revanant, Thokin and Equalizer...
I used to take them out from time to time... but I really see no reason to take them out over Ushior and Hurricane anymore.
Not a complaint.. I don`t want BW to nerf Ushior and Hurricane. ...but just saying three of my most popular weapons will now collect dust. lol
They are still useful until people unlock UR weapons.

I still can't believe the Hurricane was buffed. Still arguably worse than ME3MP version... so let it be.... lol It will be a good reason for people to grind for. I am super pumped myself to level up my Hurricane and Ushior to X with this patch. I don`t even care about Piranha anymore.

Huh, I actually didnt look through numbers and randomly threw in guns to my loadout after the patch and settled on the hesh as my current favorite. Funny enough, turns out to be the highest dps anyway lol Yeah the Hesh is pretty great. At only one Rank higher than Piranha the Hesh has better DPS and DPC. If I had a Piranha, I would still take the Hesh UNTIL I have the Prianha at the same Rank. I believe smart choke works now and works on the Hesh specifically, since they claim to have changed the mechanic to a simple accuracy buff rather than tightening the spread (which would not have helped the Hesh anyway with it's plasma seeking rounds). I love it on Gold with VG.

The Rozerad is a monster now. I'd much rather use that, than the Hurricane on the ranks I have those two, right now. If you like automatic weapons, you should give it a go. Especially on the TC kits.

Yep. I agree that Rank DPS/DPC is critical to a good loadout.
There's a fair amount of DPS overlap in ME:A and ME3 on a weapon rank basis, so I've learned not to necessarily equip <insert favorite UR, high DPS gun here> because at Rank I it may be nowhere near the DPS of a similar gun at Rank 10.
That's why my spreadsheet that I've shared earlier ITT shows Rank I through Rank X DPS individually. That way I (and you all now in ME:A) can directly compare your guns at their current rank, without having to think.

The Valk and the Hornet should switch places, followed by a Valk nerf.

Yeah thanks for that. Thinking is so hard and makes me head hurt. :rage:

Thinking is so hard and makes me head hurt. :rage: My pleasure. I first made such a thing for ME3, because everyone online was like "dump Phalanx, use Carnifex" and when I took that advice I found that MY Carnifex was performing far worse in-game than MY Phalanx and had a very shitty game as a result. At that point I did the math to compare Rank X Phalanx DPS to Rank II Carnifex DPS (or something like that - been 5 years), because none of the sweet stats sheets had those spelled out, and after doing the math once (which clearly indicated why that was a stupid move) I was like, "fuck this ... imma make excel do the thinkings, so I never fuck up like this again."

Is there any way for you to get other delays out of the game? (Time to first shot or "aiming time" or is that burst fire delay?)

I'd be really interested in an updated version of your spreadsheet That said, what should one look for by comparing different rank weapons without reliably getting headshots all the time - Max Bodyshot DPS or Max Bodyshot DPC?

I'd be really interested in an updated version of your spreadsheet; That said, what should one look for by comparing different rank weapons without reliably getting headshots all the time - Max Bodyshot DPS or Max Bodyshot DPC? They are both useful, imo. Bodyshot stats would be the way to go; that way any headshots you happen across are just icing on the cake. For those who are really good shots, they can load out around the headshot numbers, but for the rest of us, I think bodyshots give a better number to plan around, since the every-so-often weakpoint shot, will cancel out some of your misses, and help make up for RoF that one can't actually achieve. DPS that my sheet shows reflects your absolute best but only holds for a very short time because it is the average DPS over a single clip. DPC tells you how much total damage you'll be able to output before needing to reload your magazine. Soon I will add other statistics, such as average DPS when blowing all your ammo, starting from full at each Rank. Also, I'll add maximum total damage for going from full ammo to 0 for each Rank. I may add total Damage Per Minute, and average DPS over 1 minute, which would give you an idea about your weapon's performance for individual Waves for all Ranks. In the process of making those calculations I may also add time to empty a single clip and time to empty all ammo from full, which may be helpful not only for picking your loadout, but in picking appropriate mods to manage the weaknesses of your chosen weapons. Check the link below as I'll be updating and maintaining it until they stop doing balance changes and we have literally everything figured out. If you forget about the below link, there's still a link to the less good published version in the Resource library thread DragonRacer made (that version doesn't freeze the top row and leftmost column making it less user-friendly, but it's the same data). docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d_YezAcp3z1BN4jnXd-mqvyPrsKMFqrzyLnFz7N99vA/edit#gid=91432962I will be updating today (I think) because they have new game file dumps in the main resource I'm deriving this from, which is the Weapon Stats sheet in docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12FgX1J0dlwNks__49P-8E9pu0jyUAcwdPf0wDQ1Epno/edit?ts=5910af28#gid=225733829, which you can also get to from the OP of the Numerical Testing thread. That will take out the linear interpolation I've had to use for guns that got balance changes in Patch 1.06 and replace it with the actual numbers used in-game.

Soned is actually pretty legit now after the patch. I was running it on my krogan merc today and the turian soldier and it was actually really effective. It might just be my new go to weapon for the merc.
I've been trying to like the hesh, I can't do it. For some reason it seems impossible to conistently get a good fire rate out of it. I've tried with trigger stops on or off, does not matter. I'm tapping the trigger faster than it shoots so idk what's going on there.
