Has anything changed your opinion since release?
Maybe swapping genders?
Maybe the patch?
Maybe its grown on you.
Maybe knowing which side quests add to the story and which don't?
Maybe a certain sexy romance option?
Let me know below and I'll pass your opinions on to the people I talk like a Krogan to on public transportation.

Nope. Liked it before release, liked it on the first PT with a right-sided LS girl, liking it on the second PT with a left-sided DS boy.

Define "changed"... like 180°? Nope.
Gender: as "bad" as fRyder is, mRyder is worse, this childish boyish behavior, to me, ... if you look up "douchebag" in a lexikon, it refers you to mRyder so... at least fRyders sarcasm somehow fits the whole situation better
Patch: fixed like what, 1% of total problems?
Grown on me: well it is playable and enjoyable, to some degree, didn't expect that
Knowledge: well it does help, but it should not be necessary. To know I have to do just specific missions and them even in a specific order leaves a sour taste somewhere inside me, not realy helping enjoying MEA
Romance: ehem lol? Is there ONE good romance in the game? All the romances are like taken straight out of the dirary of a 12 year old girl who is just daydreaming...
Do whatever you like, all good feedback and suggestions aside, it is too late for them.

Naw, even if they fixed every bug the game under the hood is what it is. The protagonist and the crew are still going to be the same, the overall laid back, spring break tone of the game will still be the same. The Archon is not going to become a better antagonist. I figure either you like the characters and the story, you thought they were 'meh', or you didn't like them at all.

I find myself enjoying it more on susequent playthroughs.
Had the same with DA:I. The first time you play the game there's just so much shit going on and shit to do that you can't see the forest through the trees.
On subsequent playthroughs you can structure everything much better.
Sure, you can have the opinion that Bioware should structure it better for you, but I don't share this opinion.

Not too much. After my first playthrough I would have given it a 7...mainly because of the overly cumbersome traveling between hubs was frustrating. Now I'd give it an 8.5 because I can play the game more efficiently and I think the game shines in game+ (not having to grind for upgrades and materials is a huge benefit). Combat continues to thrill and challenge as I explore different play styles. I've been fortunate in not having more than a few bug or facial animation issues on PC that some have reported. 250 hours and counting for 70$...I'll take that.

Yes but it changed for the worse. In every othe Bioware game I wanted to start another PT just after finishing my first one. But in MEA the story kept me going out of curiosity, I wanted to see what happens next but after finishing it there was nothing that urged me to start a second PT. I'm not saying the plot wasn't good because it was, but it wasn't the usual Bioware storytelling which made me play their games countless times

Not really worse is i am worried that Mass Effect is almost dead for me. Though maybe DLC will change that until then pretty much over MEA.
As i have made it clear in other threads my biggest issue is lack of a renegade style play akin to the original series. Afterall that's why i fell in love with the game. I don't want to be a cocky Ryder i want a fearless and ruthless leader.....
Until then i am waiting for Middle-earth: Shadow of War. See i will spend 1000s on a video game and i dont mind paying out the ringer for any game. Heck i would happily pay 300-500 for a good game.... as long as it's 100% complete and not half assed.

I've never done NG+ and have never had to grind for materials. The only material you need to look for somewhat is Uranium, but you can get more than you'll ever need in a playthrough in a single dome on that planet where Vetra's loyalty mission is (I picked up like 800 in a single go). The rest can easily be acquired by scanning planets, random loot and deconstructing everything you find and craft.

Still a 5/10. Does not get better the more I think about it. Replaying it makes it worse, so I've left it on the shelf until DLC.

No. As of Patch 1.05 Pet peeves: (1) the enemy AI is an ignoramus. (2) My teams are so stupid. "take cover and heal" is not in their vocabulary and get killed (looking at you Cora + PeeBee). (3) Bugs everywhere. (4) Menu navigation. (5) Poor game save design. (6) The neutered CC.
Awesomeness: (1) graphics. (2) level designs. (3) world maps.
Ludicrousness: (1) Everyone but me use shuttles for travel. (1a) Outcasts+Kett have reinforcements via shuttle drops but me? (2) Nomad susceptible to environmental hazards + no weapons. (3) Ugly characters (but not in MP. why?????). (4) Walking gorillas... humans + Angorans. (5) No cinematic professionalism ( trying to be gentle here ).
Romance: (1) Couldn't care less.
Multiplayer: Don't get me started.
Disappointment(s): (1) Only two Heleus aliens.
Still, the game does have appeal. At the moment I'm coasting and waiting for patch 1.06.

Although sometimes the in game purchases do get up in price. But nevertheless i would rather pay 300+ for a game that delivers very well like TW3 or HZD anyday.😆

Heard bad things about it, bought it anyway in the end, played it and found I liked it well enough. The flaws people criticised are very real but the impact of them perhaps less than it's made out to be - it's still a decent game although nowhere near a great one. And my opinion on that hasn't changed.

Opinions. Opinions never change.
I still maintain that this is a decent start for a new Mass Effect series. There's a fair number of mistakes the team made in development and I don't think they should have released the game quite in the state it was in. The most recent patch and the developers' acknowledgement that they are working on fixing some of the primary issues makes me pretty hopeful.
Overall the story hasn't sucked me in quite yet, but ME1's story didn't exactly have me creaming my pants either. Same could be said for the companions actually. In ME1 I only liked 2 of the 6 enough to care about them and it took three games to turn that into 5 out of 6 (Sorry Ashley) Currently I only really like 2, kind of like 1, indifferent 1, and dislike 2. So I'd say MEA is tracking about near to ME1 for me in terms of enjoyment except it has a much much better combat system and overall just has more stuff to do.
The main thing that really keeps my opinion mostly positive is Ryder. Most RPG's I've played have been all over the map in terms of quality but one thing they almost all share is that the PC is usually the most boring person in their world despite being "the chosen one" or some variation of that. Voice-less PCs usually get a little more slack because you can inject your own interpretations, but I've usually been very disappointed with most voiced PCs. Even Mass Effect 1 Shepard is very lack luster and apart from a few Red/Blue lines they mostly spend their time just asking NPCs lots of questions in a bored voice. They definitely improved both Sheps over time, but even so I already consider M!Ryder > M!Shepard...which initially feels insane...Like it's Commander Fucking Shepard...by far my most beloved character and they just got dethroned by Ryder in a game that isn't as good as ME2 or ME3. That speaks to how much I like Ryder. They have a personality and I feel like you can hear confidence slowly build in the voice acting throughout the game. I got a sense that Ryder was growing from sibling that is just along for the ride into the Pathfinder. Shepard is forever Shepard and never really changed as far as I could tell. They were a great character but static and rarely vulnerable. Ryder is not a super hero, nor are they the world's most dark and brooding deep character and I love it. They feel human, they feel normal, and the drama comes from normal people being forced into abnormal situations and having to overcome it.

I thought it was an average game and that hasn't changed. I enjoyed it overall but it is a very flawed game. Hopefully they'll patch out most of the bugs in due course as they've really grated on me during a second playthrough but even with the technical issues resolved it's not going to radically change my outlook as most of my issues probably aren't going to be addressed in a patch.

Good point, I loved having the fully upgraded Nomad and wagon load of mats from the start in NG+, and a lot of room to experiment with abilities... yeah... you are right, NG+ is even better than the first one.
