I think MEA blew my mind with how truly happy the ending was, and it felt nice for a change, but left me thinking if they make an MEA2 they will manage to rip away that happiness somehow. Well the happiness doesn’t make much sense to me so I see it ending and not just because conflict makes a good story. The race that invented all this crap got driven out by the scourge and you just turn it on and it fixes things? Did they not call a tier 1 tech support guy for the question. Did you try turning it off and then on again? It doesn’t make sense for it to just work and fix things now. So while I don’t expect them to take it all away I expect a big chunk of the warm fuzzy everything is going the right direction feeling to disappear on multiple levels. Something lie them being off is what stopped the scourge from advancing further. Turning it on fixed the environments but made scourge a more active threat. The scourge, kett, new threats etc all will rage away the happy ending.

Hopeful, sure, because they were no longer going to starve to death, but the future still has dangers. The kett are still out there. There's also the mystery of the Jaardan. So, no, not happy but also not bleak.

MEA had a safe ending, which arguably makes it a boring one.

On topic none. That would limit my replays as I pick more than one in fact each Paragon Shep I do picks Control or Synthesis and Renegades Destroy. I want no cannon ending.

While I think that Destroy is the best ending for a player to pick I think control is the closest the galaxy would be to a pre reaper war state. It keeps the geth around as well as EDI. Most importantly it keeps Lord Harbinger around.

That's probably what to canonize if going with Destroy. No sense having CanonShep be a genocidal maniac when we can all just blame the quarians instead.
In Control, it can go whichever way you like. Might as well keep the geth around if you're doing that.

RED.... no no BLUE..... no wait.... GREEN.....
Blue? I like blue.
Too much of an old, old argument to get involved in. There is no 'best' choice. Red, the renegade choice, is the equivalent of genocide of an entire race consisting of multi-billions of individuals, and particularly ironic if you chose to spare the Geth. Blue is a total unknown with totally unknown long-term consequences, but does seem to offer the least 'nasty' solution. Green is equally unknown but suggest ending all diversity within the galaxy in favour of absolute homogenisation - which flies completely in the face of the general moral tone as set by the game which actually states that diversity is the only reason we were able to fight the Reapers. Refuse is basically just throwing ones toys out of the pram.
So, given that I reject all of the above and proudly play MEHEM I'm going to say that the 'canon I would insist upon' is Shep flying back to the Citadel in triumph and settling down to a quiet life of crocheting and stamp collecting with his love interest within Anderson's former love nest.

I don't care. I just hope there's one that doesn't become an excuse to reinsert Liara in the story.

Bioware should canonize all 3 endings... and none. The dragon age inquisition rule.
In other terms: recognize every choice, show some consequences, and find a way to justify a scenario where, ultimately, all the choices have produced the same global outcome.

Reminds me of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Since they did that with the Human Revolution endings to avoid canonizing one.

Reminds me of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Since they did that with the Human Revolution endings to avoid canonizing one. but bioware was a little bit smarter... they give us the illusion that our choiche matters... es. dark ritual -> morrigan has a baby; alistar king/grey warden/dead... various dialogue were choiches are ackowledged (es. when you ask varric about hakwke companions) . With ME3 ending is not easy, but IMO is not impossibile either.
