Worst character in the Mass Effect Universe

Some.. interesting nick-names you came up with for the characters. Are these just your personal most disliked? Or are these considered the worst throughout the series by a consensus.

Either way, based on the list, Kai Leng. I understand he is in either a novel or comic book character but he is without a doubt in my own mind one of the most irritating and unnecessary additions who just appear out of thin air in the final game of the trilogy and we are meant to... what? Think he's amazing and a compelling character? Nah, I just thought he was really annoying, under-developed, a pathetic plot device and a Raiden from MGS4 knock-off. I will say, killing him right above The Illusive Man's throne room was exceptionally satisfying.

Pretty much why I picked him. He's there just to be there. He absolutely suffers from outside media developing him and the game doesn't even try when it incorporates him into it. Besides Anderson mentioning that he fought him in the past, there was really nothing else left about mentioning him. How many people even know why he's part cyborg? Or previous missions he was involved in? His ties with the illusion man? Outside of the books, no one will know, and I can't stand video games bringing in characters from the books and then not even trying to develop that into the game.

It's just as bad as H5 bringing in blue team for the where you learn almost nothing about who they are in the game, but talk to someone who reads the books and they can tell you stories on the legendary team.

1. Ryder. Total failure as a player character in a Bioware RPG.
2. ME3!Jack. Badly written, unrealistic behind-the-scenes character development in very short time, totally ruined my favorite character from ME2.
3. EDI. Very stereotypical AI character, with all the tedious questions about meaning of the life, etc (again was much better in ME2). Worst part is it's romantic "relationship" with Joker - at least you can stop it from happening though, so that's something...
4. Many (minor) NPC's from MEA thanks to awkward as fuck dialogue.
5. The Angara. Not all of them are horrible in fact some of them were interesting enough like the Roekaar, but overall the entire species is written pretty poorly and are just too human. I'm also annoyed by how limited our approach to dealing with them are and Ryder's forced paragon ("this is their world and we play by their rules!") attitude towards them, so that might have huge impact on my overall opinion of them. It's frustrating when "your" (haha what a joke) character is forced to care about something when you couldn't see any reason why they should do so...

Kaiden. If he were replaced with a cardboard cutout, I wouldn't know the difference.

Why isn't smurfette on the list? I mean the asari that takes armor from dead bodies and puts it on display like its some trophy.
