I can never understand what the hell Liam is saying.

I remember reading a explanation of this somewhere. Apparently the person responsible for the creation of the Liam character mistakenly got the mouth and arsehole mixed up.

See now I LOVE Sera and never had a problem understanding her. But something about the way Liam talks just dose not come together for me.

Minsc, Jaheira, Jolee Bindo, Grunt, Kaidan, Aveline and Carver.

He was also lead designer/Writer on Baldurs Gate 2, wrote several main quest for KotoR, Mass Effect (original), and the Dragon Age franchise. 

Just like to bring it up in case someone is trying to tell me he is a bad writer because of Sera and Liam.

I'm spanish and I don't remember his face because I'm reading the subtitles all the time while he's talking.

I am not a native speaker. I understand him just fine.

Sera, though... I gave up

Except it's not the accent what people have issues with, is how he refuses to form proper sentences and instead likes to put up whatever ideas float his head on a single sentence, without elaborating each one. It's pure chaos, and it's not worth sifting through all that.

Alistair is a god compared to this guy.

Alistair is beloved. Whether you turned him into a King or a wretched drunk, they guy was witty (not smart) and backed your play. Alistair, Garrus and Kaiden are the type of guys you want on your team if the world needs saving.

I live in San Antonio, Texas for almost two decades and lived in upstate NY for the the first two decades... and that's not Southern (at least in America) to me. I've seen six year olds with a better grasp at writing the language than he is speaking it.

It's Southern England accent, not American. 😊 I hear it all the time on TV and in some movies which are London area based.

All I'm gonna say is that I personally fell not being able to understand Liam would be an upgrade to the character.

He is not a bad writer, but clearly his ability to write characters is not a strong point. They are hit or miss and or just have tiresome tones at times. Grunt was great but very one note. Kaidan was kind of Meh. Sera was annoying. Jacob boring. Carver was tedious. Aveline for me wasn't a favorite but I liked her more than Anders who needed a bullet in the face. I don't know about the first three listed, so I'm going off of the ones I do know. There is a bit of a pattern forming here. Mostly I see one note characters who don't have much depth or a good deal or whining among them. Or annoying in general. I'd be careful about letting him write characters. Some of his are among the most hated and not because they are awesome evil.
