But there are women who may read these complaints about Sara and Cora who might think, "If this is what they think about the look of a pixel woman, what do they say about real women and how they look?" The line between game and reality can become blurred when insults of ugly and man jaw seem to be casually thrown about. Then you add the photoshopped versions of these characters others create to 'fix' their appearance and it's disheartening as a woman to see that. "That is what a woman should look like"  Really? I don't care if someone doesn't like Sara's default look, that's cool, you (general not specific) don't have to. But vehemently slandering her appearance is a reflection on how women in real life are treated for their appearance. Then they need to grow a thinker skin and learn to not be a special snowflake. Just as i leaned that girls lusting over hot studs on bioware forums do not represent how males should or should not look like. People that can't distinguish reality from fiction should not be on the internet.  |

It looks as if she is sitting down, because in the beginning of that clip, Sara leans back and you can see her leg move a little in the video. Sorry the image is so small, I have no idea how to post bigger ones!  Yep, she is not standing up, so I don't see how her "shortness" can be analyzed |

I was thinking to post it here (given the fact is a theory related to her character), so I'm glad you did it before Hanako Ikezawa   You're welcome. Glad I could help. Do you like my possible idea of the PeeBee/Lexi interaction? Totally. An interaction between two big NPCs Asari it's something I felt lacking in the past trilogy. Only with Quarians we have that kind of interaction, where you are a little more than an observant and you have to sit and listen in order to get the cultural details. I love friendship stories and I'm pretty intrigued by Lexi's character. She has big shoes to fill (it's that the correct Human English expresion?) because Chakwas was a great character (although she had very limited dialogue in three games). If Lexi interacts way more than Chakwas with the rest of the crew, Lexi will be memorable pretty quickly. I picture Lexi as a very patient and nurturing character. |

I mean... if eyebrows thing is considered a recessive gene, a reminiscence of arcane physical features, maybe it's something who made Peebee "less atractive" to other Asari by Asari standards...Like it is for us to have some facial features which remind to prehistorics (I know eyebrows thing is an excuse to give more expresion to her face, but if they decided to acknowledge in game... that's rather interesting...)It's certainly working that way on this human.  I wondered the same thing after Ian first made the "recessive trait" comment. (This could turn into another case of "BioWare doesn't understand science", I suspect.) If the eyebrows contributed to PeeBee's developing such an independent personality, and to her equally strange facially marking, maybe that will help me tolerate them better. If that is the case, I would appreciate the effort as well as I will burst in laughter at the same time  Because that would be SO META... She was hated in the (old) forum because of her eyebrows She was called "ugly" in this forum If in game we discover she is "ugly" by Asari standards... it would be SO META... |

I understand what you guys are saying about the Javik/Shep scene but I don't think they ever intended it to be rape. Thoughtless on their part, sure, because like you say, you're Shep could be X Y Z but to stretch what is supposed to be a drunken one night stand between friends? comrades? to something as awful as rape is a bit much. Agreed. While in poor taste, I wouldn't go so far as to call it 'rape' either. I definitely interpreted it as the two just drinking waayy too much and it happens. Again, poor taste on Bioware's part? Absolutely. At the very least they should have had some dialogue before that where you flirt with him or something at the party to trigger it. As it is, it's another case where they decided Shepard's characterization, rather than allowing the player to. And where it's a matter of sex, that's a huge no no I hope they never repeat. What I would call rape though is the Vega scene. Fortunately you can opt out of that one, but the entire thing is super creepy. He outright turns you down, he's clearly uncomfortable and conflicted about the idea, and you just keep asking him if he's drunk enough yet until he agrees. What if the genders were reversed? What the hell were you thinking, writers!?  I only watched his """DLC romance""" on Youtube. It's horrible It made me feel like Shep was an incipient rapist |

I'm afraid Bioware implements the differences as something like this: Sara opens a closed door with her tech skills while Scott shoots the door open. Or she uses her science knowledge in order to make a defective machine working, while Scott puts randomly any buttons till it works.... I don't want to be the stupid or less intelligent sibling. Hopefully, they avoid differences like this. I would have loved if my SisRyder open doors Wrex style  I keep hoping to roleplay my first Sara as a hothead |

By the way: Roakar? That is a new alien race? With the armor on they look like Kett Roakar are a faction of the Angara aren't they? They were mentioned briefly in the gameplay video by Reyes when Sara was scanning the dead Krogan. That has been confirmed? ('cause sounds awesome!) I don't know, the Roakar is too far away and the rag doll mechanics don't help to clarify (the enemy's legs don't look very Angara to me but the enemy could be a woman. The female Angara seem to have more straighten legs) |
