There is a segment of the gaming community that is becoming a cancer to the gaming industry (as well as society in general) as a whole. If I was a developer and I got a career opportunity in something else I would probably say "screw it" and get out of game development if I had a chance to do something else rather than pour my heart and soul into something only to have it crapped on by ingrate sociopaths who think developers owe them something because they shelled out sixty bucks on a video game.

None of the people whining about the game months before it came out would have changed their tunes. None of the pandering "journalists" would have decided against kissing the butts of people who want to see the game fail. And none of that would have made any difference to the game selling well, no matter how much the above people desperately want to pretend otherwise. Quit pretending that all of the people devoted to making life hell for BioWare fans and devs would have EVER wanted anything but to make life hell for BioWare fans and devs. These people have been trashing the ME series and the people that like playing it for a very long time. Not sure what motivates them to have such childish spite but it is there. An emotionally and mentally mature person doesn't waste their time on entertainment they don't like but these man babies can't seem to leave Mass Effect alone and let those of us who love the series in peace. They should just shut the hell up and go back to playing their precious Witcher games with their set in stone non customizable protagonist.

Lancer. Never used another gun in ME3 after that was released Or the Spectre weapons from ME1. I'm gonna have to go with these. ME1 weapons Not a weapon but I would like to have some ME 1 styled armor sets one for each of the tiers that ME 1 used (light, medium, and heavy).

For me when it comes to Mass Effect I refuse to nail it all down to just one thing. These are multi faceted games. I will say my personal priorities are setting, characters, story, and gameplay (gameplay encompasses more than just combat).

I would love to see an ME movie even if it is considered crap. If done right however it would be amazing. If nothing else it will have good eye candy. Would love to see how the citadel is rendered with today's cgi. I wonder who would play Shepard.

Witcher is overrated. Come at me MEA is better than ME2. Come at ME. No reason to. It still has the words "Mass" and "Effect" in the title.

Finding a cure. Family comes first. Also as an earlier poster noted I saved the quarians often from themselves on more than one occasion during the trilogy. Let Avitus help them he is another dextro and they can pool their resources and find a home world for the dextros. Let the other pathfinders pull their own weight for a change.

I don't mind DA going "open world" again (these games aren't truly open world btw) as long as they streamline it a bit and cut out the fat while giving each area more interesting story driven quests with good cinematics to draw me in. I think "open world" is still a better fit for DA than ME.

Anthem is not aiming for the Bioware fan, they want their own version of Destiny and it showed from that trailer Yeah that's the thing. If they get the market they are trying to get with Anthem they won't be missing us too much. Anthem looks well made but it looks like it is being made for a different gaming demographic not the traditional bioware singleplayer rpg demographic. Sure it will probably have many of the elements of a traditional bioware game but at it's core it is a coop multiplayer game.

I am all for letting them know we want it but the question is the how. Ultimately the bean counters only see numbers and the suits listen to the bean counters. I am sure many of the devs themselves would like to make more dlc. Many of the newer devs that worked on Andromeda were fans of the trilogy. They are Mass Effect fans themselves.

I rarely use mining probes. I usually get my minerals via mining pods, deconstructing armor and weapons, and cryo pods. If I am really hard up for a material merchants often have them as well. Same! Mind you I hate crafting in any game and avoid it like the plague if I can help it! I don't mind crafting but it can lead to frustrating grinding. I preferred DAI's crafting because it did have some visual customization elements to it and it could be used for the whole squad.

The ones cheering for it to fail and hoping there is not going to be more content are spiteful children. It doesn't hurt them in the slightest if DLC is released or if more ME games are made. Nobody is holding a gun to their head and making them buy or play them. But what if some are literally threatened with death if they don't buy it? Their sacrifice will be honored in the coming franchise. Got to admit that made me lol

What I don't get is those of you who take utter delight in the thought that there might not be a dlc, or anything else good coming for MEA. We get it, you don't like the game. You were trashing the game before it was even released, so no surprise there. No matter what you think of MEA, cheering for it to sink is just stupid. This game failing isn't going to magically make the ME franchise whatever it is you think it should be now. It's a long while before anymore Bioware games get released, so I'd like to be able to enjoy this one as long as possible, and dlc's will help with that. The ones cheering for it to fail and hoping there is not going to be more content are spiteful children. It doesn't hurt them in the slightest if DLC is released or if more ME games are made. Nobody is holding a gun to their head and making them buy or play them.

I like the idea of a RTS game. Maybe something during the Contact War. Also, keep a story with character creation and decisions between missions. And I can see a spin-off game just after the war, with humanity first meeting the other species and trying to find their place. There is potential for a few cameos as well. no . A side story of the reaper war. I want my rts to be closer it xcom and have it Sci horror elements. The reaper war is perfect for that. I want to see how bad it got. During most of the war Shepard was not involved in the nasty large scale battles that took place (until earth). Most of Shepard's missions were extract that or investigate this which is typical special forces stuff. There is another side of the reaper war we didn't even see (only heard about).

I really hate it when people accuse bioware games of being dating sims. They are such an insignificant and small part of their games it is really annoying when people act like they over shadow the rest of the game. Not to mention they are optional content. They may seem insignificant in content but when fans talk about Bioware games they mostly talk about romances. Just look at this forum, how often they're the topic of conversations, so yeah if Bioware made a dating sim I wouldn't be surprised if it would get them a lot of money. I am sure there is a segment of the base but it wouldn't garner the interest a regular game does. It is also not the best overall impression they want to make with their franchises if a spinoff is a dating sim not with all the different genres they could experiment with. Besides I think a spinoff game in another genre wouldn't even be made by bioware it would be made by another developer in the EA corporate umbrella.

I really hate it when people accuse bioware games of being dating sims. They are such an insignificant and small part of their games it is really annoying when people act like they over shadow the rest of the game. Not to mention they are optional content. It's really a questionable ordeal. While I see romance as a small part of the game and I find it unnecessary, go to the Anthem forums and see how much romance is asked for, it's obnoxiously important to a lot of people in bioware games. So no surprise some would joke about dating sims if you ask me. I agree it seems like some players want to prioritize them. As for myself I see them as a useful way of personalizing the story a bit more and sometimes can lead to character development but I never pursue them in game to just for the sake of doing them it has to make sense for my character. In MEA I havn't even completed any of the romance arcs yet. In the trilogy I would pick one (the one that made sense for that particular version of Shepard) and stuck with them through the trilogy and in the DA games I doubt I even bothered with them any more than maybe 1/3 of my playthroughs (that is counting all of the playthroughs of the three games combined). I just don't see them as necessary but a useful addition for roleplaying at times.

With everything being up in the air and all the uncertainty with what bioware and EA plan to do with the franchise would it be good for the franchise to have spinoffs in other genres such as an RTS? I think it could keep the franchise fresh and even breathe new life into it while giving us a fresh perspective and even expanding the ME universe. For example I think an RTS that takes place during the same time as the trilogy fleshing out those events more. For example we could participate in parts of the reaper war we only heard about second hand (such as the turians and krogan having the reapers bogged down in a nasty ground war on Irune). What do some of you think about a Mass Effect spinoff? Of course I still think the rpgs are the bread and butter of the franchise but spinoffs could be healthy for it. All those romance sim spin-offs. Bioware would earn a fortune. I really hate it when people accuse bioware games of being dating sims. They are such an insignificant and small part of their games it is really annoying when people act like they over shadow the rest of the game. Not to mention they are optional content.
