I know I have already posted in this thread but after my second complete playthrough I would give this game an 85. If the game gets a good DLC it can bump that up to an 87 or 88 right now it stands at about an 85. Considering that back in March it was barely an 80 for me that is a pretty significant jump. Yes the patches helped but also learning the game's systems and an understanding that not every little quest or task needs to be pursued helps as well. I take the same approach to DAI. Honestly the best advice ever for RPGs came from a skyrim article. And it was essentially, a character does not have to do everything'. The types of quests a character does and the order they do them is every bit as much roleplay as the choices they make or how they come off in conversations.

And that is always the approach I have taken when playing TES games. In those games I only do quests that seem in character for the type of character I am playing. In the case of DAI and MEA limiting the optional stuff I do helps the stuff I do decide to pursue have some actual oomph and it doesn't feel like I am just checking off boxes. I feel more invested in what I am doing.

Release: I accept 6-9 views. I give it a 7-8, and if I had to I'd say 7. (10 and 5 would be insane to me.)
Now: I still accept 6-9 views but leaning higher now. I still give it a 7-8, and if I had to I'd still say 7, but if I was able to give half marks I'd now more confidently give it a 7.5. (10 and 5 still insane to me.)
Possible: I hope to more accept 7-9 views. I hope to give it a 8 (aka as good as or better than ME1 in most senses; the potential is there). This can happen if further supported with more patches and quality DLC. Neither of which I have proof will happen.
To compare, I think if I had to give whole number scores for the trilogy, it'd be ME1 8, ME2 9, ME3 9. I'd gladly mess a lot with half points though (I like ME3 more than ME2, but think ME2 was a resulting better game for its time).

...but I THINK you might be in the minority here. I agreed with your post up to this point. Your premise, particularly "here" is flawed. If you mean here by, the grand sense of the planet Earth in the Sol System, then yes you are absolutely correct and I agree completely. If by "here" you mean uBSN, you are wrong. We are in the slight minority, but a minority nevertheless and since I have known most of them for years, a few going on 10+, I have decided to stop pissing on their cornflakes. It is a Kobayashi Maru.
