I think a 5+ year Break for MEA2 is a good thing

You haters are all too predictable.  At this point if bioware did come up with something that you like you would still pretend to hate it just to be edgy.  After all admitting that you like something would be seen as a weakness by your fellow haters.

Yeah I enjoy playing Codie's F1 games they're very good. F1 2016 was brilliant except for the fact that the R&D system was a little basic and mattered little beyond the 4th/5th season which was dissappointing given it's supposed to be a 10 season career mode  I think that's why they've gone for a more RPG skill  tree like approach. They haven't shown it off yet  but that's apparently the idea for this year .As you do your practice and races you earn points just like yo udo in an RPG and you spend those points upgrading your team and character and car just as you do in Bioware's games when you unlock new powers or upgrade one .For example there are features in this years game that you need to pay attention to reliability levels and things like that because if you don't and just focus on getting new parts for example the new parts can and may end up failing on the car. Apparently you also have to watch your engine and gearbox components this year because if you don' tand end up using to omany components you can end up getting penalties much like the McLaren team has been doing in real life. But yeah it sounds like Codemasters are putting quite the package together this time round I just hope it works as well as advertised and hopefully smoother than MEA did at launch.

yeah it sounds good it's just a question of how well they've pulled it off considering that like Fifa it's a yearly series game and like Fifa they have to turn it round to brin gout a new version each year as it's kind of CM's answer to Fifa except it's based on the F1 championship. But we'll know on the 25th August as that's when it releases. It's always hard to do things like that within a year I think but then Fifa did a good job withthe journey last year so will be interesting to see where they take that and build on in Fifa 18 so EA have proven it's possible. But then EA have a lot more resources than Codemasters do. Especially as we know they did actually use Bioware's knowhow to build the mechanics that the Journey uses

EA has always been pretty reliable with sports. EA Sports is a pretty big thing. Bigger than MP games I'd say even.

Nah, if Anthem doesn’t have:

a. Shitty writing straight out of a high-school creative writing class
b. Generic, boring, predictable, rehashed plot.
c. Terrible UI.
d. Awful facial graphics/animations.
e. Hundreds of fetch quests.
f. Sudoku.

- and instead provides everything great about the trilogy, I’ll buy.

Like the whole gameplay ad was "go get these lying assholes I sent beyond the wall and rescue them." Frankly they aren't worth the effort in my "action RPG"--let them die. Demo over.

Honestly I'm not convinced Anthem is MP only. BioWare has said that the game will have single player, and that its important to them, and since BioWare is one of the kings of SP games I'm inclined to believe them. At least until I see more evidence otherwise.

A MP game like Destiny is only as soulless as your clan. For me, a good story in Anthem will be icing on the cake. I want it to be like Destiny where it facilities the ability to create awesome experiences with your friends and obtain some really cool loot.

And I didn't see a thing in that gameplay reveal that seemed soulless. It made both Zelda BOtW and Horizon Zero Dawn look weak which is impressive bc those two games are my games of the past few years really

They also said it won't be an RPG. It won't be MP only, but even COD isn't MP only. But it's not satisfying to play it for the shortish SP campaign and certainly not worth it's money for single player.

I start looking forward to it once they make an official announcement, complete with possible release date.

The mission itself in the gameplay reveal was soullless/fetch-like. If it's representative of most of the in-game missions, then I see that as pretty soulless gameplay. But it may not be representative. Maybe it has a lot of great missions and an interesting story.
