You are confusing bad methods and forceful change with the fact that change is possible and willing people can change. People shouldn't change because someone told them too, or because they feel bad and surely shouldn't get help from people that have personal interest in their change, but people can change it's like with anything else. 

Edit: I am not from US btw, I don't know what is going on there on a federal level, that's not what I am talking about. 

So if the person you tortured didn't become straight, it's their for just not wanting it enough. Surely it can't be your fault for torturing a person over an aspect that is harming no one at all.

Literally no other "medical" practice unilaterally blames the patient for the 100% failure rate.

Obviously torture is not going to help, the change has to come from the person that wants to change. I don't want to talk about any sort of torture or conversion therapy, I am simply talking about people changing themselves mentally.

So this is why you have less likes than posts.

Or torturing themselves mentally instead of accepting who they are? For whatever reasons. Most of them religious in nature, since secular society usually doesn't feel the need to look into anyone's bedroom.

Sexual orientation is just a small part of who you are as a person like any other part of your life like: liking video games. It does not define you as a person.

You didn't CHOOSE to like video games it just happened, you won't stop liking video games just because someone will torture you, it's not ok to disrespect you for liking video games. And if you will at one point in your life think that video games is not something you want to do anymore you can change that.

The mere fact that you don't understand makes me feel nothing but pity. There's a difference between liking video games and feeling attracted to a person. I hope you learn that distinction before it blows up in your face.
