I don't think we're ever going to get a final number, so it pretty speculative. Weird how the games industry is kinda reclusive with those types of figures, whereas the film industry is immediately forthcoming. Different corporate culture, I guess.

Hey biofan. By the way good to see you again. Heyo! Thank you All attempts to downplay a positive EA earnings report using unverifiable and incomplete data have failed. I don't think we're ever going to get a final number, so it pretty speculative. Weird how the games industry is kinda reclusive with those types of figures, whereas the film industry is immediately forthcoming. It is weird, but from what I understand EA has been like this for a long time. The sales are definitely murky, but the EA report (I have a transcript of what was said if you'd like) is positive. They were asked point blank about Andromeda in their earnings meeting/report and if they wanted to say anything negative that was their opportunity. Instead both Bioware and Andromeda were spoken of in a positive light.

I'm starting to channel my inner HK-47 whenever I see that meatbag post. Now now, that's no way to talk about Croatsky - he seems nice, if a little bit biased. You wouldn't want to get banned. You of all people is accusing someone of bias. Funny.

They're more accurate than a 3 day sample of 113k users. If you refuse to take into account VGChartz or NPD data, both of which have been doing this for years - while heralding a 3 day sample from a non-gaming website... then i don't know what to tell you because you have incredibly thick rose-tinted glasses on. VGChartz isn't perfect and had made mistakes in past, especially today when they lack digital sales numbers. Physical copies are not as "hot" as they used to be. And NPD has NO reliable method to reveal digital sales numbers, they are quite frankly shooting in the dark. And the fact they can't replicate that for PC digital sales, just shows how their method for counting digital sales is flawed. Also if in case you are correct, somehow NPD has very accurate digital sales numbers, then why the hell EA doesn't admit ME:A sales are poor and disappointing? Instead EA says the opposite, that they are happy with BioWare with ME:A. Lying to investors about poor sales is a way to lose investors, as well it goes strongly against EA's historic precedent where they always publicly admit when a game is a failure or disappointment. Yet they don't do that, while apparently there are public numbers that "prove" ME:A sold badly. You are putting way too much faith on those sites, whom no longer have reliable methods to count sales numbers years ago, and making up conspiracy theory that EA is lying to public and investors for no real good reasons and which will backfire hard on them if they did lied. Who actually buys (new) physical copies of games in 2017? All I can think of: (1) someone living in an unusually remote location with spotty/slow internet service; (2) collectors; (3) grandma is buying you a Xmas present.

I wanted one since I ask the voice actors to sign them, but they were not selling a Deluxe or Super Deluxe for PC at stores. I was forced to order it online, and then my card gave trouble, so I had to go through EA Support to fix it. I ended up having to use PayPal. What a mess for a damn Pyjak lol

I would think the vast majority of players are casual players and downloading.

I had my DAO game signed by Steve Blum (Oghren) and Grey DeLisle (Velanna). I might meet Tim Curry (Arl Howe) and have him sign it this August. Sadly I have no ME covers for Jennifer and Troy though. Would love Shepard and Kai Leng's autographs lol

Weird how the games industry is kinda reclusive with those types of figures, whereas the film industry is immediately forthcoming. My understanding that there are multiple ways to track film sales so the studios just give out that information, but when it comes to game sales the only people with the full information are the publishers due to things like increasing digital sales. The other thing I have noticed is that studios that used to be free with their numbers have withdrawn such as Blizzard talking about World of Warcraft subscriptions. Now there could be plenty of reasons ranging from backseat quarterbacks on the internet using those number to prove their points, to investors seeing them without the context required.

Just that here they aren't any cheaper, so I think most would rather have it digitally, instead of another object to find a place for. so # (4): players who live in countries where it's cheaper to buy a physical copy.

I don't consider myself a collector since I don't purchase Collector's Edition or leave copies shrink-wrapped. I just prefer still having a physical disc in my hand of games I highly anticipate for my current console of choice (I have no issue doing digital-only on older games, like Steam sales). I also enjoy the anticipation of going to the midnight release and coming home with my precious little disc ready to go. But I'm also someone who prefers physical books made from dead trees rather than digital reads on Kindle. I might be the oldest-fashioned 32-year-old I know. Now, get off my lawn.

You need to learn how statistics works. If someone did a survey with a sample size of 113 thousand people it would actually be representative enough to allow for a margin of error +/- 5%. Now I haven't seen the survey in question but I know that surveying 113 thousand people is some serious work being put in. That being said, where's the survey so I can read it? arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/06/xbox-unleashed-our-deep-dive-study-of-how-millions-use-xbox-live/4/Check the list of 144 Xbox games ahead of Andromeda in the sample. Using that survey as a template for extrapolating sales is laughable.

There will be an SP DLC that tells the story of the Quarian arc. Without it, the MP will not be able to develop because the playable races are so limited. If not, they will have to have an alternative backstory delivery to have a non-playable info-dump. Until Anthem is out, ME:A is their main MP module, so there has to be support for its expansion.

Well I was wrong.

Statement: I love how the meatbag is continuously referred to as "Jason" but I would suggest proving to him your true love, Master.

I also prefer physical books that smell and feel like books. I sometimes read trashy stuff (like Hunger Games) on Kindle because I know I won't want to keep the book after, but it's not easy for me to enjoy the experience. We're almost the same age. Well, now hang on! Hunger Games is not trashy. 50 Shades is trashy. Let's not get crazy. Also, I prefer physical books, but haven't bought a physical game copy in probably 5 years. OK OK, I'll take it back.
